"Food was great, service was nice, but it was WAY too tight for a large group of people, meaning 6 or more. They have a bigger back room, but it's still kind of tight, especially when the restaurant is full."

"We booked before we went, which was good as it was rather busy, our table was ready within minutes of our arrival. Food was served really quickly and was lovely."

"Excellent Curry house, first seen this on Man v Food, my partner took on the Phall challenge and failed miserably, but i challenge anyone to find a hotter curry. Staff and service excellent, food was perfect. If in Manhattan a must try venue and a lot less cost than other eating houses in New York"

"More upscale in price & selection. (Not the usual 6 th Street Indian place.; very tasty , well made Indian favorites, with some delicious more creative variations). Recommend reservations, as place is popular at prime hours. Great service, terrific bar & London- influenced decor add to fun experience. Be prepared for most meal items at added costs, not found in other establishments. For example: basic rice @ $5 a bowl."

"The food was nice and the menu was extensive so would definitely go back to work through it! Plenty of vegetarian dishes, and different ones that we would not normally see on curry house menus in the UK. However, it was expensive and a lot more than I would expect to pay for a curry, it wasn't amazing enough to justify the prices. Also, it was a Monday night, but it was really quiet, which let the ambiance down, and also made the service a bit rushed as they were straight to our table all the time."

"We enjoyed our meal here very much, however the chicken was slightly overdone and I was surprised at the price for our appetizers and drinks. My one shot of Hendricks gin (small pour) cost almost as much as my dinner. The main entrees however were deliciously seasoned and our appetizer and the bread (nan) as well were delightful. Would recommend the food, but watch out as the extras can really add up on the bill!"

"I really didn't like the food. If you are used to eating in good Indian restaurants in the UK, you will be disappointed. The quality of the bhajis and samosas was OK, but the mains were poorly spiced. Try Chote Nawab on Lex instead."

"Food at Brick Lane Curry House is consistently of a very high quality. Cocktails at the bar are good too. When I crave a good Indian meal, and want a fun place to go with friends,I always go here. It's a well staffed restaurant - there are plenty of staff and they know what they are doing, so service is friendly and attentive."
