This historic restaurant dates back to the 1920's and has been a favorite ocean view restaurant for many people worldwide. Guests marvel at the view of the Pacific Ocean while enjoying the Distillery's excellent cuisine including fabulous prime steaks and fresh seafood favorites. Relax by the patio firepits and enjoy the ocean view while snuggling under a cozy, warm blanket. Bring your furry friend along because the heated patio is very dog friendly. The restaurant even provides a doggie menu that is specifically designed for dogs featuring mini burgers and grilled hot dogs. The resident "Blue Lady" ghost, as featured on Unsolved Mysteries, may even decide to enhance your Distillery Experience!

"Moss Beach Distillery is the only place in the Bay where my very picky daughter is finishing her plate and licking all her fingers. The food is fresh and I always appreciate the vegetables. They are tastier here and if you are not so great on eating your greens you can indulge with the sauce or the dips. The over 21 yo customer will appreciate the cocktails. I'm a fan of the Blue Lady.

"We went here for our 20th Anniversary. We requested a window table and got it. The service was incredibly good and the view was fantastic. The waiter was very knowledgeable about all items on the menu and made recommendations we both enjoyed. They even gave us a nice dessert for our celebration. After dinner, we went onto the patio and sat by one of the fire pits to watch the sunset."

"This last visit we were celebrating Mothers Day and my wife and I had Sunday Brunch. The service was very good and the waiting list not bad as I had reservations. Only negative thing I could say is that there was very little selection on the menu for brunch and having been there not too long ago I could see no changes to the menu. There was only one thing on the menu for brunch that I liked which was the same as the previous time. My wife also had the same thing which was very good but no selection. To make the visit more interesting I would appreciate more selection as we do not want to continue having the same thing every time."

"Went here for Mother's Day brunch. Had our toddler so the server moved things along appropriately. Sometimes kids get impatient and it's hard to keep them happy. Food was great and we got a lot of goodies for the price. They even gave me a nice little rose plant for coming. It was so cute and thoughtful! Nice surprise.
I would definitely return and next time do lunch on the patio with our dog since its a dog friendly place. Beach and ocean views are also priceless.

"before arriving at Moss Beach you have a wonderful scenic drive down the coast on 101 to decompress from the stress of the day. Once you arrive, the view of the beach, sunset, and the coast set you up for a good experience.
From the moment you walk in until you leave, it I'd like you are dining among friends. The staff is fun, courteous, and provide great meal recommendations if you want one.
The food, wine, desserts are all terrific.
We were in the bay area for work. My wife and I stayed in town for a long weekend and to celebrate her birthday at Moss Beach Distillery. This was a great experience and the staff made the birthday surprise a memorable experience. Thank you so much. We look forward to our next visit."

"This restaurant was recommended by my girlfriend as she had been there before. She hyped it up with good food experience and awesome views, and she was not wrong on either one. If you're looking for an entertaining foodie experience, along with a romantic atmosphere, this is your place. It would even be good for a moderate group of people for a birthday or other celebration. Outside there is some seating, but what is even nicer is a lounge area outside next to some fireplaces overlooking an amazing view of the ocean. I'll definitely treat her there again for recommending this gem!"

"Loved the crab cakes Benedict & filet of sole brunch. Fresh hot pastries a hit! All you can drink champagne and mimosas were enjoyed by all. The ocean view was fabulous. Arrived early, ordered Bloody Marys and sat downstairs overlooking the ocean while we waited for our tables. Dress in layers, and sit outside around one of the firepits."

"I took the hubby to Moss Beach Distillery for brunch for his birthday, and boy did MBD deliver! They gave us the best table in the house with the ocean views... promptly at our reservation time. Brunch - especially the crab cakes benedict was fabulous. The bottomless mimosas definitely softened the blow of my husband celebrating the big 5-0. Great service and a big happy birthday wish at the end - without overly embarrassing the hubster. All in all - one of the best parts of our birthday celebration weekend. Loved it!"

"We have eaten here a number of times and it is always a treat. The view is great and the staff are great. Meals can be a little expensive but your also there for the view!! It you want the view cheap, try the outside patio and sit around the fire pits. The bar is somewhat limited but they do have all the basics. If you like mussels, the bowl of steamed mussels with pesto toast is to die for!!!"

We came for the Sunday Brunch, and loved everything about this place - casual, relaxed, outstanding, attentive, friendly service; and, incredible food!!! "We had a reservation for 2 by the window. There was not any available. While waiting for the waitress to come to take our order, I noticed that a space became avalaible. We were told that that table was reserved for a party of 4. Instead onlhy 2 were seated. We did not get it. The food was not good at all. The service was decent. Nice view of the ocean. I will not go there again."

"I was charged twice on my credit card. I attempted to use an American express gift card, and Debbie the server came back and said that they do not take Amex. I stated that this was a gift card and any establishment that take s credit/ debit cards takes this .she said that they do not. So they proceeded to charge me twice. When I checked my bank account three days later, I decided to call and talked to Susan, a manager. She explained that they have had numerous problems with certain banks charging twice and then dropping the second charge off a few days later. I explained that fortunately, I was'st overdrawn , but someone may be. I also said that if you have had numerous problems with banks, then you should remedy this situation."

"it was very crowded and noisy. The waitress was scattered and only intermittently attentive. In fact she walked away when I was about to order. The eggs benedict were hard, not properly poached. It took a long time to have our order taken, and to have the food brought out. We did have a mistake made, the waitress brought a sundae which we didn't order, but there was no charge. It's expensive for the quality of the food served; I would rethink coming here again."

"The view of the pacific ocean is why I chose this for a romantic dinner. It was perfect! Love how you can sit outside and enjoy the ocean breeze. I will be coming back. The food was delicious and our service was good. I was hoping to have a window seat. Next time I will make sure I reserve the window. Very romantic for valentines day or anniversary.
