Faz Pleasanton is a perfect place for an intimate dinner for two, an evening out with a group of family and friends, or business entertaining. Our chef draws inspiration from both contemporary and traditional styles of Mediterranean cooking to create unique, distinctive dishes. We offer semi-private areas to private rooms; ranging in capacity from 10 people to 250 people. "Our group has been to FAZ several times - past luncheons were great........With good food and attentive service throughout! This trip was the "polar opposite" - food and service were both mediocre, at best. We don't know if the restaurant has changed owners, management and/or key staff - but, it was NOT the same as before; or, maybe we just 'caught' them on a very bad day!
Hope they can get their "act" back together again - it is a charming venue."

"Apparently they only had two waiters on for a Saturday night. They were few large parties, once the large parties arrived, service totally evaporated. I felt bad for the waiter as he was clearly hustling, yet management was standing around. I had to go to the bar to cash out."

"We ate there for an 8:30 breakfast, using their buffet. The food was cold. They did replenish it. However, even though they had some unique offerings the food was not that tasty. I also ended up falling when I was walking back to my table, since a step up to another table was too close to my table. It could have been my fault but also my table was too close to that step."

"We arrived at 2:30 for Easter buffet. After 10 mins they started taking down the salad station followed by other entries. It seemed like we had no time to enjoy our brunch we literally had minutes to get our food before they were cleaning up. I wish they would have told us because by 3pm it looked like they wanted us to leave. $124 plus tip for three people for 10 minutes of a buffet is not acceptable."

"We were there on Valentine's Day, and it really seemed like the staff was struggling to keep up. Some tables got the wrong things delivered to them. Our server didn't mess anything up but we saw him only rarely, and we had to wait a long time to get the check, despite the fact that they had a line of people with reservations waiting at the front door. The food was fine--nothing spectacular, but nothing wrong with it either."

"This was our 3rd time going to Faz for Valentine's Day but it was a complete mess this time. Our server forgot to bring us our firsr course and when we asked for it after receiving out third course, he asked if we still wanted it...said he had to ask since it was include in the price and then seemed irritated when we said yes. He kept bringing food to all the wrong tables. It became a running joke through out the night and by the time we left, there had been five or so different tables complaining to eachother about the same problems. I would be willing to go back to give it another shot since I heard that server is on his way out the door. We loved the food and service every other time we went there."

"Their wine selection is incredible with many different options. The food flavor is out of this world. I ordered a Grilled Rack of Lamb, it was well cooked and flavors were amazing. Service on the other hand was very slow and horrible. Our waiter only took one order at a time and left, then came back to another order and left, then came back once more took another order and left again. It would have been easier to just take all of the orders at once. The restaurant was not packed there were actually about 15 or so people there and they restaurant sits about 100+ people. Our drinks were low/empty and he rarely came back to fill them up or ask how our meal was. I had to flag the waiter down more than once."

"We made a reservation last minute and as we were from out of town we were caught off guard. We were looking for a fun place for breakfast/brunch/lunch. We arrived and were seated without menus. We waited for menus and when asked were informed that it was a brunch only on Sunday. We have dietary issues and when the manager came over he was surprised. We ended up leaving the restaurant in search of a restaurant that could service the entire family. Nonni's Bistro was where we went and everyone was extremely happy."
