"One Market has never failed me. If you want a well executed meal with many menu choices that appeal to a range of tastes from a well cooked wood fired steak to someone a bit more out of the ordinary, One Market is the place. Strong reco for the beet carparcio, tater tots, any of the vegetables, any of the wood fired dishes BUT leave room for dessert. Their mint ice cream is epic. Imagine licking a mint leaf with hits of chocolate...it's that fresh."

"As this was my first visit , I must say everything was most impressive. The entire staff was on point. Properly greeted, no wait, (none of the "we have your table, but it'll be a moment while we set it up for you"). Our waiter and his team, outstanding. great knowledge of every item on the menu, which was very helpful in deciding on what to order. The food, absolutely Devine. The pork tenderloin absolutely melted in your mouth I'd never had it so good. The dessert, again Devine. Never really tried peanut butter ice cream, Wow, very tasty. So like I said everything was very impressive, definitely would return. As for "Open Table" can't wait to use them again, flawless, easy to use, and very convenient. 5 STARS"

"Having eaten at One Market many times over 20 years I have seen changes as well as improvements. The lunch that we had was terrific. From the amuse to the main the food was perfectly executed, the staff was responsive and we enjoyed it very much.

"The One Market Restaurant has been one of my favorites for years. The restaurant can always be counted on for excellent food service and ambience. I often try new dishes to test the uniform excellence of the kitchen. This time it was the wild sturgeon.
I usually pound dowb the beef, because this is a real specialty for them. But they did a wonderful job with the fish. My son is addicted to the pork loin.
A wonderful restaurant. It is always a pleasure to dine there."

"Use to go to One Market , ALL THE TIME, especially with large groups. The restaurant was always accommodating. After several disappointing experiences we stopped going for over a year. Concierge at the Four Seasons convinced us to give it a try again , stating that other guest were starting to come around about it again .
Disappointing night, i had the asparagus salad, and the veal entree. They both need to be removed from the menu! Thank God for the chickpea fries, they were delicious, and what I ate for dinner. My husband tho did have the pork loin for which he commented was the best he'd ever had! Just another hit and miss

"The Embarcadero has transformed over the years with a Farmer's Market, street vendors and people of all ages in all styles of dress that makes a simple stroll a visual entertainment. It is a hub of transit for city named electric trains, BART, Muni and the ferry terminal. There is no place in the Bay Area you can't get to from here and One Market Restaurant is the perfect place to recharge with good food, fine wine, friendly atmosphere and an hospitable staff."

"I really appreciated that, instead of providing dishtowels as napkins, which is so popular these days, resulting in lint all over the place, at One Market the napkins are real cloth and, when they saw that one of us was wearing black, he was offered a black napkin just in case any lint might cling. That's such a nice touch that puts One Market a cut above the rest."

"I took my wife out to lunch at One Market. I reserved my table via OpenTable. A staff member from One Market called me the day before the reservation to confirm--I mentioned that the lunch was for my wife's birthday. He asked me her name, which I provided.
When we arrived and I announced my name, the hostess immediately wished my wife a happy birthday. This greeting was repeated by staff members throughout our meal.
Our waitress recommended an appetizer - smoked sea salmon with egg, which was excellent. Our fava bean risotto and grilled mahi-mahi, were also very good. We finished with dessert--chocolate toffee crunch cake and pineapple upside-down cake. My wife's cake came with a birthday greeting written on plate in chocolate."

"I love going to One Market - it is a comfortable place for family or dinner with colleagues. The menu had changed since my last visit, but it was still delicious. I had the asparagus salad, chickpea fries and mushroom gnudi...all delicious! The chickpea fries are a regular favourite for a side dish and I can never stop eating them. Service was very good as usual, but they do take their time with bringing the cheque. Definitely will go again given the opportunity!!"

"This is one of my favorite restaurants in SF. My friends and I enjoy eating at the kitchen bar where we can interact with the chefs. We were there most recently for the pig weekly beast menu and it was all great. I even ate the pork blood...although I did disolve it in the fabulous broth first! I also think they have one of the best pastry departments in SF, which sometimes doesn't get enough credit."

"We may have gone on an off night although you would expect Saturday to be a good night for trying out a new restaurant. We were seated right by the door so every time anyone entered the restaurant we were hit with a cold breeze. We asked when we were taken to the table if another one might be available, but were told none were available. The constant breeze and people coming by made for an uncomfortable and noisy experience. This might have been if the food had been better. I had the leak appetizer and they were tough; the duck entree was also overdone. My husband had oysters on the half shell as his appetizer and they were so tiny that he thought they should have added a couple more to make up for their size."

"We had a very good table for lunch. Staff were attentive, but too rushed. I had to ask to please slow down. This was not a business meeting. The food, while good, was not anything special. And compared to comparable restaurants of this class globally, the dishes are not exceptional; and as many report, the portions are rather small. This might be exceptable in SF (a former home); but not NYC, Chi.,Rome,Shanghai,Hong Kong or even Paris. For the price point and presentation, this is not cusine. It is CA bistro. And there is better bistor to find in SF. Overall enjoyable, but not something worth lots of attention or discussion. Not poor; just over-rated for what it does."

"Food was fantastic. We were promptly greeted and seated while our table for our reservation was rearranged to better fit our party's number of people. We went on a Saturday night, and it was extremely busy. The service was moderate to sub-par as we were checked on only twice during our entire expereince after we were seated. They also forgot several glasses of wine that we ordered, and didn't offer anything in compensation."

it up into components. The lambs tongue salad here is a classic example of this type of food preparation. The small pieces of
lambs tongue were arranged around the edge of a large plate and placed upon yellow and white spices with micro greens. Can you
believe it. When the waitress asked how I liked the salad I replied "this is a joke, right?" I guess it wasn't. She did, however, omit

"We went for my birthday.The food was good, but something seemed off from some of my previous visits. The leek vinegarette salad was a weird presentation. The leeks were long, stringy and difficult to eat and to cut up. There were 3 strips if strange bacon, very thin, fatty and chewy. I sent it back and got the Cesar salad. It too wasn't nearly as good as it usually is. I order it every time I am there. The lettuce had a texture like it had been blanched in water. The dressing was delicious as usual, but the lettuce didn't have any crunch. The scallop dinner was delicious, but when eating the lobster sauce and artichoke chips all together, it was very salty. Each component was tasty, together, too much salt. Our waiter was excellent"

"I know why One Market is so popular. They really take care of the guest. All requests were accommodated with enthusiasm and the food is really, really good. Mahi Mahi was sweet and succulent. Baby carrots were buttery and Brussels sprouts with bacon were to die for. I always get the chocolate toffee crunch cake. It reminds me of the old Blum's."

"We dined recently having the 'Weekly Beast' tasting menu for goat. I like the concept! It is interesting to have an entire menu using different aspects of the protein extended to the dessert. The high point was the fava bean risotto, the low was slow cooked goat shoulder. All and all, an enjoyable dining experience. The waitstaff and service were uniformly pleasant and helpful. We ate the following night with an additional guest at the kitchen counter with the ala carte menu. Similar experience -- some dishes soar, others not so much."

"A great place for a business lunch. Not too fancy, but excellent food and service. It's nice to know that a restaurant can exist for as long as One Market has and still surprise with its quality and selection. The fish dishes are always excellent, as are the sides of vegetables. We were not interested in a large dessert, but rather wanted just a couple of cookies to go with our teas and coffees, and the server brought an off-the-menue selection of biscotti and small macaroons, which were the perfect finish to the meal."

"We had a wonderful dining experience the other night. I ordered the prix fix 3 course menu which was superb. I had the crab soup - superb. Then had the sturgeon. Equally as good. Then the caramel pudding. My friend had the pork tenderloin which she enjoyed and a starter as will. Food was excellent, staff friendly. A well-paced meal. I would highly recommend."
