"I'm hoping this was just a one time bad meal. I've been to Flemings several times. This was the first time the meal was sub par. My steak was one of the worst pieces of meat I have ever had. When you pay that much for a meal the expectations should be high. I feel like over the years the quality at Flemings is just falling off a bit."

"We have been to Flemings twice recently and both times it was excellent. The hearts of romaine salad with blue cheese dressing is excellent. Our steaks were cooked to perfection and some of the best we've tasted and we order prime steaks frequently. The fresh bread was great and the wine list is lengthy."

"Had a party of 7. Took 25 minutes longer than reservation to get sat. The table was not really suited for a large party as we kept getting run into by bussers and if you got up it took awhile to sit back down as the staff used your absence to gain access to the table because it was such a tight fit. The food was very good, however the "Filet Oscar" was very different from other Flemings I have been to."

"I'm not a fancy food critic... but my wife and kids went to Fleming's on a recent Sunday night. reservations are a must. We were seated quickly. The bar looked cool but we couldn't attend with our young 'uns. Staff was very attentive, service was prompt, a manager came by and introduced himself. Wine list looked extensive, the cocktails were great. Wedge salad was pretty standard, but good. All four of us had Filet Mignon so I can't talk about anything else, but those filets were awesome! Just fantastic! You should try the Fleming's Potatos. Creme brulee for dessert was great also. Dinner for 4, 2 wines, 2 cocktails, 1 dessert... $283. For us, this is a 'special occasion' place only!"

"I'm rather disappointed in this particular Flemings. I'm a big fan of this chain and love their Rancho Mirage location. But the Newport Beach location leaves a lot to be desired. First, they allowed a non-patron (I believe he was a taxi driver) to stand by the front door, smoking; we had to walk through a cloud of smoke to get into the restaurant - not good. Second, the carpaccio was not as flavorful as I'm used to from Flemings, I was very surprised by that since I usually give glowing reviews. Finally, the music in the restaurant wasn't quite what you would equate to fine steakhouse dining. Overall, an OK experience, but I most likely would not return to this location."

"We went for my boyfriends birthday with his Dad and stepmom. This is the first time I've broken bread with them in the three years we have been dating. As soon as we arrived, my bf was greeted with a happy birthday from the hostess. In addition a nice couple gave us a $50 card to use that was expiring that day so it took $50 off our bill. Once we were seated, we were greeted by 2 waitresses and they both wished my bf a happy birthday. They have an iPad with their amazing wine list on it so all winos can find exactly what they are looking for. They have a huge selection by the glass too:). After we devoured our food, we were greeted by the manager who again wished my bf a happy birthday and gave him a $25 gift card and a box of truffles."

"Went to celebrate a birthday with the wife. The place was very busy with what server shuttling between the bar and kitchen constantly. Did make conversation difficult but that was because we were in the front section adjacent to bar. Wait staff was however very attentive with high marks for our server Barbara. She had the Filet Mignon while I tried bone-in Filet Mignon special. Both were excellent in terms of quality and taste. However be warned that the steaks are very thick and mine cooked to medium-rare came out very rare in the center. Molten cake dessert was good tasting like a reverse souffle. While quite expensive, we are planning a return visit at some point."

"This was a visit to Fleming's after a very long time....The food was fantastic....Marci had the wedge and a small plate of ribs....I had the Heirloom salad and Filet..The meat was drop dead fantastic...the most flavorful filet I have every had...In the top two of best every meal....We were celebrating the start of our 52nd year together and what a way to start a new year of journey. If you are every in the Newport Beach area and want to experience a fantastic meal then you must go here . Our server Ann Margaret was superb in every way.....Big smile... knew the menu..and was there when needed and not there when we were conversing. "We had our anniversary dinner here and it couldn't have been better. When we arrived we were seated at the table of our choice. Our anniversary was acknowledged then and several more times that even buy several different people. It made us feel special.
The cocktails were great. Our server (Ruth)offered us tastes of each of the two wines we were considering before we had to choose. The manager visited the table several times during the night checking on our experience and again acknowledging our anniversary. And at the end of the meal they discreetly gave us an indulgent box of candies with two candles. What a classy place! Can't wait to visit again."

"We had a fabulous birthday dinner for my husband from beginning to end. I noted on the reservation it was my husbands birthday and everyone including the manager welcomed and warmly wished him happy birthday. We had a fabulous table on a busy Saturday night. Attentive service. And excellent food. Steaks done ti everyone's liking and absolutely delicious as we're all the dishes. We hadn't been here in awhile and we had such a great experience our group thought we need to celebrate all of our birthdays here. Then my husband left his glasses and they actually called my phone on the reservation to tell us. I would give this restaurant 10 stars if I could. Thank you Flemings !!"

"We wanted something nice for a great steak and seafood dinner. Usually go to Morton's but have not been happy with our recent visits. So Flemings was recommended to us and we were not disappointed.The filet ignon was perfect. My wife had the fresh halibut which was also grilled to perfection. Service was good but we were rushed through our dining to an apparent goal if turning tables (busy Saturday night).The wine list was very good. The chocolate lave cake was very good but we both thought it was dry. Maybe it was just our particular serving. Ambiance was nice except the bar is not separated from dining like at Morton's so the TV sports screen was distracting while we were dining."

"I noted on my OT reservation that this was a special anniversary celebration and the team at Flemings really paid attention to it. From the time we were greeted at the door, throughout our dinner until we finished, everything was "Top-Notch." Aside from the service, the food was fantastic. One of the best steaks I've ever had."

"The food was mediocre (my ribeye was an overly fatty cut; my wife's risotto had sat under a heat lamp too long and crusted over) and overpriced for the quality. The server, though he tried very hard, was more annoying than helpful. I don't think this Fleming's location is as strong as others."

"I'm not a regular at these high-end chain steakhouses but will happily return to Flemmings. It didn't feel like the same company that owns Outback and at no time were we pushed or given tacky upsells. I found the quality of the food and service outstanding. I liked that our server honestly led me to explore more parts of the small plates menu than just a steak when I expressed interest in trying several items. The Spring Menu looked great too."

"This was our third time at Fleming's Steakhouse. We treated ourselves for our 34th wedding anniversary. We asked for a booth and received a very special booth in the rear away from the bar noise. Our waiter, Jimmy, new about our special occasion and so did the manager. They made us feel very special and treated us to 4 delicious chocolate truffles after a fabulous meal. I had the crab legs and my husband had the pepper steak. Both were out standing. The martini was one of the best I had and my husbands wine was superb. We can't wait to go there for another dinner. Reservations are absolutely necessary, since it is a very popular restaurant in Orange County."

"I have been going to Flemmings for many years. This visit I was dismayed to see the prices have increased considerably and the portions are smaller. I didn't order a steak as I believe the prices are outrageous. I did however order off the small plates menu; the filers and risotto. The risotto had no flavor and two pieces of mushrooms, which to is not mushroom risotto.
We have also stopped attending the wine dinners as the prices were greatly increased as well. The food has also changed for the worse. I noticed some of the wine dinner items are now menu items. I was sure not to order those, for example the polenta fries, no flavor.
I will inform my friends and family the quality has diminished while prices have gone up considerably."

"This used to be one of our favorites but has really gone downhill. Steak and Fleming's potatoes were flavorless. It took nearly an hour to get a medium rare steak. In my opinion, the food is no longer good enough to justify the price."

"Our favorite Fleming's for service and execution of the menu, besides La Jolla. We enjoyed excellent service once again by Barbara. Perfect timing of the appetizers, entrees and dessert. The pepper steak and the Ahi are my favorites along with the fleming's potatoes and the always perfectly cooked green beans. We slurged on the lava cake which was really 3 desserts in one, cake, cookies and ice cream, plus whip cream."
