"Wait staffing was more than adequate, attentive and polite. Where they lacked in a "pre-set menu brunch" for Mother's Day was in the KITCHEN. It was far too many guest to execute getting orders correct and prepared properly without preparing additional staffing in the kitchen. Although the pricing was set significantly lower, it was not worth it for the quailty of food served. First time disappointed at Flemings."

But Flemings has excellent salads and, most importantly, small plates for those who don't want that big chunk of meat. Oh, and the meat was great. Now the desserts could be better as huge portions don't make up for lack of taste."

"This is just our second time to eat at Flemings & the first time was excellent. My brother (in Austin) eats there at least once a month - and we truly felt this time was even more special than the first time. Becky (our server) was fabulous - very attentive...great suggestions...and an absolute pleasure. We had the filet & lobster tail - EXCELLENT choice. I had never tried their French Onion Soup, as I always felt mine is been the best - until Flemings (they add a wonderful touch of Sherry). Our steak and lobster tail were perfectly done. Not a real fan of spaghetti squash, but we got a side of the onion rings. Very tasty! The chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream was the ultimate top for a perfect evening."

"On my recent visit I was very disappointed. I ordered my filet as I always do medium-well because usually the filets are nice and thick and my steaks are perfect for me that way. When the waiter brought the steaks to the table mine looked as if it had been flattened. I cut into the steak and it was well done not medium-well. At some point the manager was passing by and I commented about my experience and he told me any steak ordered more than medium usually isn't center-cut prime. No offer was made to redo my filet!!!!"

"The food and steaks were disappointing, the service was excellent and management did an outstanding job to lessen our disappointment. The "large crab cakes" were "petite" in size and had no flavor, they were "flavor flat". My 8 oz filet was tasteless, squashed to the size of a commercial hamburger when served and covered in peppercorn. I did not order the peppercorn steak. From "time of order to time of plates on the table" was very long, and left us wondering if our order was misplaced or served to another party. When we were about to inquire, the crab cakes were served, and soon after the steaks. Adjustments required on course serving time."

"We received a $50 coupon in the mail and hadn't been there in some time so we decided to go with another couple for my husband's 60th birthday and had a wonderful time. Three from our group wanted the Steak & Lobster special that was on the Flemings website and called and requested it as part of our reservation. Also mentioned the birthday. Everyone was pleased with their cocktails, wine and meals. We appreciated that they put us in one of the smaller, more quiet rooms and afterwards presented my husband with a small gold box with four incredible truffles to take home and also a card for $25 off our next visit. We had a lovely evening and look forward to going back."

"Worst service I have ever had. I was really upset about it, and normally I would have confronted the waiter, and then the manager, but it was a special occasion for my wife, and she asked me not to make a scene.
The waiter got agressive and nasty with us when we didn't order appetizers and tried to order drinks off the bar happy hour menu (which we didn't realize was for the bar only). He was loud, invaded our personal space, and just wouldn't shut up, despite every single body signal we gave him.
He only became friendly when we ordered our 2nd round of drinks and realized he would have an sizable order that he could potentially get a decent tip off of.
Disappointing. If I could give the service 0 stars, I would."

"My wife and I usually go to the Palm when we go out for steak, but with the present remodeling we chose Fleming's. We were entirely pleased with the experience. We were seated within several minutes of our arrival; we had a reservation that Satrurday night. Our waiter was courteous, knowledgeable about the menu and wine list, and attentive to our table throughout the evening. Our food and beverages were all served promptly and to our order. The salad, steaks, and sides were all delicious and arrived at the proper temperature. We'll definitely return to Fleming's."

"The most important thing about this restaurant is that the food is DELICIOUS. Also, the bartender knows what he is doing. And the place isn't ear-deadening loud, very nice atmosphere, but also crowded when we were there. You'll need to reserve."

"We were very pleased with the food and ambiance. We had the crab cakes, which were good; not the best I've ever had, but a solid win. Our entrees (steaks) were excellent. Cooked to the desired temperatures and very flavorful. We split the chocolate lava cake for dessert; it was a very nice finish. The service at our table was good. Our one complaint, and the reason why I could not rate this experience as excellent, was that we were seated almost 40 minutes after our reservation time. We checked in 5-6 minutes late, but given the number of people who were waiting at the bar and in the entry way (standing room only), the restaurant was having trouble managing its reservations system and this was disappointing."

"Excellent experience - I had the Sunday prime rib special and my wife had the petite filet. Both were excellent, as was the Flemings salad, sides and the chocolate lava cake for dessert. We had generous (but not rediculous TX-sized) portions of aged, prime beef, great service, refined atmosphere; what more could you ask for?"

"Fleming's used to be a good steakhouse. I don't exactly know what they have done but now it's a GREAT steakhouse. The steaks seem to taste better - maybe it's my imagination - and the wedge salad has definitely improved. If you want great steak in Houston, this is the place."

"We had to wait although we had a reservation. There were 4 staff at the hostess stand not sure what the issue was as there were several tables. At least we were seated first since we had a reservation. But we still did not have high hopes. However that all changed when we were seated and Tobin our server came to the table. Definitely the best service we have experienced in a few years and we eat out and travel a lot. He was friendly , professional, knowledgeable , and polite but also maintained a sense of humor. It is worth the meal just to have service like we experienced since it is so rare. Thank you Tobin. It was a wonderful evening. We look forward to returning."

"Seated promptly. Cocktails: Gin martini and pomegranate & sage margharita-generous portions & excellent. Wine: glasss of Chilean Cabernet-very good; microscopic portion for the $. Appetizers: French onion soup and a lemon ricotta crostini included with the "seasonal menu" (an appetizer and entree for $41). Soup-very good; crostini was tasteless (too bad). Entrees: Broiled swordfish and the Delmonico steak that came with the special: very good & fair portions. Dessert: Chocolate Lava Cake-very good. Service: Inattentive-had to remind about soup appetizer-soup & dinner came together-should have canceled it. Dessert took forever (apparently normal for LC), but we were not offered the LC dessert earlier in the meal to lessen wait-irritating."

"OK, this is texas, BUT ..Seating very nice, with the server coming and excorting us to table. Wait staff very good, wine decanted. But choosing wine terrible for me. They use those computers listing wine with little pictures. No way to see the tiny writting, nor see the vintage year. So how can you evaluate and compare?
Chose 2000 Pulliac ($170). very good. Food on the other hand was expensive $42 for small fillet served on white plate without any garnish. Salad small but goo; Asperg tough and undercooked. Potatos seemed left over.
Noisy, but some like it. I would not go back. Better to get Wholefood beef and cook it yourself."

"We went for Valentine's day and normally I love Fleming's but that night was just blah. I ordered the special 3 course and my date ordered the pork. Our waiter was kind of pretentious as well. The Burrata salad and salmon amuse bouche was delicious. I got my chateaubriand and it was not what it said it was. I pretty much got the end of the filet, it was fatty and kind of nasty. The "creamy crab" under the filet was more like a Fonduta and it got hard as I was eating it. My dates pork was delicious, but the mashed potatoes were like glue. They also tasted like they had been sitting out for a long time. Not what I expect from Flemings, I don't know if I would visit again."
