"The food was tastee but everything was over priced for the portions you were served. I orderd the prime rib, it was about 3/8" thick as opposed to 1 1/2" or greater, which is what you expect. The martini's were good but at $13 a piece they should have been. Crab cake appetizers were again tastee but tiny."

"It was my best friends birthday and her boyfriend was out of town, so I was her date. We both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and even closed out the place (except for one other table). I had Lobster and she had Salmon. The food selections and preparation as well as the lively (but quiet at the same time) ambience was perfect for the celebration."

We have dined at a number of Fleming's through the country and for some reason the El Segundo location is by far the best. Next time we travel to Southern California we will dine at Fleming's."

"I've been coming here for a few years now, but my experiences keep going down. The restaurant looks like it is supposed to be quiet and romantic. Instead it's so noisy you can't hear your companions. Also, iPads for wine selection were very noticeable distractions in the dark restaurant. I asked for my petite filet to be medium rare, but it came out medium to medium well. However, since it was a filet, is was still tender, and I was starving, so I didn't send it back. Our waited almost never came to our table. For the price, I don't feel I'm getting what I paid for anymore."

"Very disappointed with our dining experience.The experince started off well with the courteous host(Anthony).It took awhile for our waiter Mike to come to our table.Once Mike came to the table he was distracted and when I asked a question about a menu item,he simultaneously attempted to have a conversation with the busboy about an item to another table...such that he needed me to repeat my simple question.Thereafter the only time we saw our waiter Mike was when he inquired about ordering another item( another wine? dessert?). The steaks were fine, cooked to order.
The crab at $44 was a dismal failure. Not only were the crab legs without flavor but presented in a sloppy manner..with no drawn butter/no plate for shells.Good busboy service."

"Had a good overall experience with one exception. My friend had requested a medium well steak, but the kitchen could not get it correct. They took 2 more tries and ended up seriously overcooking the same piece of meat. The ideal solution would have been to just cook a new steak. Our server was outstanding, and did everything within his power to make our experience better. They did not charge for the steak, which was a nice gesture. This was the first so-so time I've had with Fleming's, So I expected more thought from the management. To take care of the client, thinking outside the box is sometimes necessary. Like I said, a new steak would have made more sense, rather than trying to cook the same one several times."

"Food and service first-rate. Noise level surprisingly high. Reservation 7:15. Noise gradually diminished as time past and people left. Ambiance dark, paneled. Looks like it should be quiet, but isn't. Had to raise voice to be heard across the table. Now that I think about it, I wouldn't recommend the place. It's just too expensive to be that noisy. (I've also unchecked "romantic.")"

"We came here for a special occasion. Our server was nice & friendly. When our salads came, still no bread and drinks, had to flag down server who told the helper. We still had to wait a long while to get our drink and then finally some bread. I think the helper was having a bad evening,not attentive all through dinner. I had the Sunday prime rib special. When our meals came out, the meat was not even close to what we had ordered. The two rare was at best med-well, the medium rare was totally cooked through. I asked that mine be sent back. Next prime rib was rare but it had so much fat and gristle that I could not cut through it. Had to flag manager,third try much better. Was surprised we were not comped anything for their mistake."

The pork belly was very good, the steak excellent, caesar salad ok (too much dressing) and the potato way overpriced @ $9.50. Service was impeccable and the ambiance was outstanding. "I usually rate Flemings higher but I need to take into account it was Easter Sunday and they were very busy. The steaks are always top notch. I also had the asparagus...which needed to be trimmed better...a little barky. Our server was nice but not as attentive as we're used to from Flemings. But again, he may have been stretched thin.
2 of my guests had the pre fixe menu and both chose the prime rib. And one was beautiful and the other was full of fat. She didn't want to send it back. Everything else was lovely"

"If you generally like Fleming's, you'll love their brunch. The Easter weekend brunch at Fleming's was outstanding. The selection and quality of the food was great: lobster bisque; caesar salad; eggs benedict with filet; prime rib; egg strata with filet; ginger carrots; Fleming's potates o'brien; white chocolate bread pudding; turtle pie; creme brulee. All very well executed with a packed house. Didn't skimp on substituting a side as well. Will go back for the next one. Well done!!"

"We were there for a business meeting with a client. The wait staff was really annoying. The waiter asked us if we were ready to order four times, the bus boy cleared all the appetizer plates before we were done, and then asked if he could clear the half full plate with the appetizers on it. The waiter was borderline obnoxious. It was clear to us we were being rushed.
Just not the service I expect at a fine, $45 a steak, steakhouse. Maybe Chili's. They also had an iPad/tablet as a wine list which was awesome, until it froze up on us three times. So I went with the written version on the menu."

"The food and ambiance were great. However, the service was rushed and unfriendly. At the end of dinner, the server continually returned to collect the bill while I was clearly trying to finalize business with my clients. To top things off, the server asked for a 20% gratuity on a party of 4, when he did not deserve anything near 20%. I have never had that happen before and I would not expect for it to happen at a restaurant like Flemings. It made things awkward and almost annoying for myself and for my clients.
The great food make it worth considering a return visit, but if there is a repeat in bad service then I will not return."

Well, to be fair, the onion rings and martinis were excellent. Paul Martin's (a block away and owned by the same group) is a much better bet for meat and wine."

"We were greeted and escorted to our table and they accommodated our request for a booth. I even put in a note that we were celebrating my husband's birthday and the host acknowledged it as well as our waitor. If you have a chance to sit at Sam's section, he was very personable, professional, and knowledgeable about all the selections on the menu as well as the wine list. We have found a favorite wine choice based on his recommendation. We will definitely go back to Fleming's and request to sit at Sam's section on any occasion."

"I did not enjoy my experience. It was very busy. The staff was stressed. The girl at the front checking people in was very rude and as I was standing in front of her ignored me completely and kept checking the men coming in behind me- I finally had to waive my hands at her and shout excuse me!!?? Can I please check in- I have a reservation!!We ended up eating in the bar and not at a table. The service there not do much. What's going on there? My steak was ok but sitting by the patio door it was cold."

"I must say that when I feel the need for a great steak, Flemings is high on my list..and is #1 in my neighborhood.
My fiancee and I booked our reservation through Open Table...although there were a few people waiting, our reservation was honored and we were seated immediately.
I ordered the crab cakes (which were delicious) and my hubby to be went with the steak (which he couldn't finish). The side dishes were excellent! I ordered asparagus, and he ordered mashed potatoes and fresh green beans. Although I try to stay away from the carbs...I did have to sneak a bit of the potatoes...they were marvelous.
We're planning our next "date night" at Flemings (Manhattan Beach)"

"Our waitress took forever to deliver our food. By the time she came back to us the food are all cold, not happy about the service. My bill took us forever to get it and we ended up getting up and go to the counter to pay. I hope they will have a better solution on this in the future and better fair and same goor customer service wether u sit down for a dinner or outside for happy hour... thank you"

"We went to Fleming's for the steak, and were not disappointed. Just about everything was perfect. We were sat in a booth, which we requested through Open Table on a Saturday evening, so that was a pleasant surprise. The starter bread was a cheese loaf with 2 types butter. The starter salads were good, with the wedge being especially tasty. I had the ribeye, which was cooked to perfection (medium +), and my wife had the short ribs which were chewy, not your typical melt in your mouth type. The sides were excellent (corn and Fleming's potatoes). Then the dessert was crazy good. It was the lava cake, which is made with Belgium chocolate lava, which tastes like milk chocolate. Ice cream, whip cream and some fried cookies...exceptional!"

"The ribeye was cooked perfectly-a great crust and nicely marbled. The sides were mediocre: sauteed spinach was ok, mashed potatoes were dry (classic mistake of using russet potatoes in lieu of a more waxy variety to increase creaminess), and the sauteed mushrooms were dry. Loved the seasonal lemon ricotta appetizer. My biggest complaint isn't with the restaurant so much as the clientele. For the prices the restaurant charges they should enforce a dress code. Also the self park is a LONG walk around the building to get to becuase they lock the door at night. Kind of ridiculous but at least it's free."

"Service outstanding. If you want a quieter atmosphere sit in the back room. We enjoyed our visit and the service was great but I have to say I was not happy with my bone-in ribeye. For a $50 rib-eye it was very dry and for medium rare, a little overcooked. We split a wedge salad, had mushrooms and flemings potatoes which were excellent. Overall experience very good but definitely not impressed with the rib-eye steak. Next time I will try the filet."

"The location is fine but from the time we entered the front door to the time we left, it was down hill. There were plenty of tables / booths in the restaurant but we were seated by the front door and they would not change our seat. Our server, Bo was very friendly which is the only positive about this visit. It took at least 45 minutes to get our food after our order was taken! The waiter continued to visit making excuses but still no food or explanation!!! Many manager types walked by until finally one stopped to say hello, drop off her card and kept it moving. At this point we were beyond irritated but stayed pleasant. We have no plans to return to this location or recommend it to any of our friends."
