"Fleming's is our "go to" place for special occasions and it never disappoints. The atmosphere is very romantic, the service always above average. We've tried a variety of menu items over the years, but their filet (6, 8 or 11oz), can't be beat. Have it with a side of Fleming's potatoes - yumm!! Or for a lighter option, order the sliced fliet 'small plate' served over the most heavenly mushroom risotto I've ever eaten. Be sure to save room for dessert - the chocolate torte is a must! We were at Fleming's this past weekend for our anniversary and at the end of the night we were presented with a card and a box of chocolate truffles as an anniversary "gift" - what a nice and unexpected touch! Just one of many reasons Fleming's is our favorite!"

"Flemings could not find the reservation. Three people made a big deal of looking for the reservation to the point of embarrassment. We ultimately left the restaurant without eating. We went to Capital Grill and it was terrific."

"We had a delicious dinner, fantastic service and the wine was the best. Since we were celebrating our anniversary we hoped for a table out of the way. Instead we had a very noisy table right by the kitchen. I'd suggest asking ahead of time for one of the tables around the outside of the dining space instead of the few that are situated right in the middle of the restaurant. Considering everything else was great, seems silly to complain. Would definitely go back."

"My wife and I have been on a mission to try all of Charlotte's premier restaurants, with a new one or two each week. This week we decided to go to Fleming's. What a joy. Every single aspect of the dinner was spot on. From the house bread to the Caesar salad, the sweet chili calamari, to the bone-in rib-eye and cheesecake, and OHHHH the macaroni and cheese side dish, everything was fantastic. Our server, I believe his name was Jason, was phenomenal. Right now Fleming's is our favorite steakhouse in Charlotte with Del Friscos an extremely close #2. FYI, Ruth's Chris in Southpark was god awful, like eating at a fancy golden corral, stay away."

"We were disappointed in the overall quality of food and service at this Fleming's in Charlotte. Comparing it to other Fleming's (e.g., Tulsa), the Charlotte location was just poorly run. Our waiter was basically unavailable during our entire meal and had to be called on each time we needed anything...i.e., me getting out of my seat and hunting him down in the back while he was chatting up the staff. Food quality was poor as well. Martini was lack luster, steak was served medium well vs. medium rare as I ordered. I just gave up! I would NOT eat there again."

"Very good overall. Would have given the food 5 stars but had to send the extra thick pork chop back because it needed to cook a little more. Good thing was when it came back it was still tender and juicy,flavorful, and sizzling and cooked the way it was ordered! My Prime ribeye was cooked to perfection and whoever cooked it should have been slapped for making a steak so good! The waiter paired the wine with our meal and staff members were there when he wasn't. Great service and teamwork. Made my bill of $200 for my wife and I well worth it!"

"We booked a few hours out on Open Table and managed to be seated in a booth close to the kitchen. Immediately we were taken care of by our server Jesse. He was knowledgeable and helpful but not pushy about trying to up-sell us on anything. Wine presentation was flawless and our server kept each course coming right on que. The food was amazing and honestly, the first properly prepared steak I have had in NC and top five restaurant experiences I have had in my 10 years in the state. Due to my job, I am on the road around 120 days a years and Flemmings is a location I will make a point to return to. As another reminder of the exceptional service, Jesse went out of his way to find local events going on that evening and even securing us entrance"

"The amosphere was nice and the staff exceptional. The food was just ok. Nice size portions though. I had a Caesar salad to start. And for my entree, i had the BBQ salmon which was so peppery I had to send it back. The 2nd time out it was much better. Howvever, for the prices they command I wanted to be blown away by the taste. I wasn't. Perhaps I should have ordered a steak. My friend did order a filet mignon and said it was delicious. As a side we split the mashed potatoes. Again just ok. Even though the food for me was average, the evening overall was still enjoyable and the service and friendly, knowledgeable staff really helped make a nice experience."

"Our first visit to a Fleming's after many years of hearing and reading very good reviews, we were somewhat disappointed.For a party of six spending a hefty amount of money, you would think that they would be a bit flexible in their judgement, knowing that the appetizers were being shared, they offered very skimpy portions. The steaks were ok - we certainly have had better. All in all, not what we expected from a place with such a good reputation. At some point in our travels, we'll give them another shot since what we were served was tasty, fresh and prepared well, it all just didn't ring the gong that loudly."

"We were very impressed from the moment we walked in the door. The welcome included a sincere effort to greet us by name (my name is not easy to pronounce the first time). The ambiance was soothing and comfortable. The attentiveness of the server and supporting staff was so effortless and graceful. Confident recommendations were made regarding wine and menu selections. In addition the server, Jimmy, gave us little gifts of a pass to a local night spot, suggestions for parking, and a discount credit for a future visit. The food was perfectly timed and delicious. I will definitely come back and refer friends. Overall the service at Flemings is exceptional."

"Dined in and was looking forward to the Sea Bass from prior reviews since I do not do steak. Turns out it is a special and they did have it. Actually was a little disappointed. The price was I believe $50 for this and it sounded great but I was a little worried because Sea Bass is so great and this sounded like they may be over saucing it and doing to much to it, I was right. Not sure I will eat there a again. So many steak places in Charlotte and my husband, the steak eater was not impresses. The free bread and cheese spreads were the best part of the dinner."

"Food is amazing. We ordered the wedge salad, a nice cab wine, filet mignon, fries and cheese cake with blueberry sauce; all was wonderful. Service is very professional--waiters are attentive without imposing on your meal. We gave ambiance only fair because this was our second visit and both times the room temperature was much too warm--it's amazing the waiters don't pass out."

"Expect a great experience; awesome food and very enthusiastic service. We were checked on by our server and the 'dining room manager' a couple of times, just enough that we knew we were being taken care of. The only issue we had was they mixed up how done we wanted out steaks, but they very quickly remedied the situation.
Like all fine dining establishments - go in knowing you will pay for the quality, menu items are ala carte and entree with a side will hover around $50 to $60 dollars per person. Add a drink, salad, and appetizer and meal for two will be close to $200. We come here for special occasions - they excel at."

"Server was dismissive, cold, barely polite. Didn't recommend wines. Didn't ask if we would like coffee/capuccino with our dessert. Absent when you would have expected him to be around. Made us feel unwelcome and not well served."

"I have been to Flemings several times now and it never disappoints. I had the Newport filet and it was excellent. We had the mac and cheese, blue cheese potatoes and Flemings potatoes and all were excellent. On top of the great food, the service exceeded my expectations. The server was attentive without being overbearing.
If you like Rioja, I think the one they have on the menu is quite a good value for the price."

"Restaurant week portions seemed smaller than normal menu. Sides tasted as to have come from a can. Steaks were not cooked as ordered. Had to keep asking for bread, half the time was burned on top. Ran out of water several times. Over all was a very bad experience."

"It was Rest.Week & we expected to receive a meal for the price of $30pp.We were shocked to discover that our entree did not include ANY side dishes.All you get here is a piece of meat on a plate!We needed to buy any side dishes seperately!We purchased 2 sides of mashed pot.& 1 of green beans which was not even enought for a party of 4 to share, for an extra $27.40!This is not listed on the online RestWeek menu.Many people visit during RestWeek because they can not otherwise afford a higher end rest.Not disclosing that an extra amount needs to be spent for a complete 2nd course is deceptive. NEVER have I been to any rest.that did not include side dishes w/their RestWeek menu and I have been to restaurants that are far more upscale than this!"

"We dined during restaurant week Saturday night. Group of 8 at 745. Azer was our server. I've dined at your restaurant a handful of times, and this was by far my best experience. We were sat right away (even with having more people than our reservation was for), Azer greeted us promptly, and his service didn't skip a beat the rest of the evening. We will definitely be back."

"Food was WONDERFUL. Steaks were perfect. We ate there during Queens Feast and were pleased to see that Fleming's offered items from their "normal" menu for that event/week. Our party deviated a bit from it, though. For example, we got a side of onion rings as an appetizer (to share). Try those - if you like that kind of thing. Tasty! Great service, too, considering (and, these is our only negative comments) the tables were TOO SMALL and TOO CLOSE together. This may be a unique set-up for Queens Feast to maximize the capacity, true, but it really dented what would have been an all FIVE STAR dining experience. Our compassion went to the servers, too. They could barely function. Otherwise, FABULOUS. We will eat there - anytime."

"We visited during Charlotte's restaurant week and it was very busy, noisy. We upgraded to the ribeye and sea bass for entrees. He had ribeye which was cooked to order and had decent flavor but wasn't anything particularly special. The Chilean sea bass was delicious and the wine pairing recommended by our waiter was outstanding as well. Our sides, baked potato for him, sauteed green beans for me, were just average. Overall experience was good, but we've enjoyed better food in Charlotte at this price point. I'd probably choose those places rather than return to Flemings."
