"Overall we were very satisfied with one major caveat. All of the food was excellent-- especially the knockout crab cake appetizer- except the filet mignon which we both found to not be as tasty or juicy as those at Cameron's around the corner. This was a real shame as we loved everything else right from the start when we were seated in a round booth so I could sit right next to my hearing impaired husband. The wine list is actually on an IPad which was very informative and such fun to use that we played with it for quite some time-- very innovative. A very enjoyable evening except for the slight disappointment with the steaks."

"We had a wonderful meal, but very $$$. Our service was very attentive, but the water glasses were too often empty, especially given the salty, though otherwise yummychimichurri. We were pleased to score a comfy booth.
We never felt rushed and the staff was pleasant and informative.
What was great: the food (aside from the chimmichurri salting), the atmosphere, the variety and descriptions on the menu, our waiter, James.
To improve: the dining room wasn't half full, but it was surprisingly loud for conversation (this is a common issue in restaurants and is getting worse everywhere--I can't be the only person who wants to have a conversation), keep filling water after dinner, reduce the salt, ditch the iPad menus."

"Food expertly prepared. The lobster bisque was remarkable with a nice spice kick. Steak perfect; lamb chops delectable. Ambience is that of a sophisticated steakhouse without being overbearing. Service attentive.
Of special note: they were aware that the evening was to celebrate my wife's birthday. From the hostess to the waitstaff to the management they all acknowledged this and made the experience even better."

"We had Easter brunch at Flemings. As always the atmosphere was very inviting, and the service was good. The holiday brunch crowd seemed to overwhelm the kitchen. Our brunch took well over two hours to complete, the portions were generous, but the food came out luke warm or overdone. We have always enjoyed Flemings in the past, and we will return there again. We may be cautious about big holidays or promotions."

"My husband, my parents and I went to flemings to celebrate our anniversary. We went last year as well. Last year they gave us a box of chocolate and a $25 dollar rewards card to come back and dine with them again. It was in our intention to go back again but until Monday night we didn't make it back. They had out an exp. date on it of 4-21-12, a year later they still let us use it. The customer service at Flemings is amazing. They are polite, educated in their menu; after all they have over 200 different wines on their list, and the management is respectful as well. The manager visited our table 3 times to make sure everything was alright and to present us with yet another box of chocolates and $25 reward card. The food is amazing too!"

"Jered was a great waiter. We ordered the filet mignon special which came sliced. We both ordered medium rare. When they arrived (sliced), it was obvious they were medium and medium well without tasting. Jered had them replaced. The second time they were still more medium than medium rare. We gave up and ate them. The green beans were not seasoned (my wife was happy). I tried three salt shakers before I found one that worked.
They gave us their new 100 wines electronic tablet. After 4 of them didn't work, we chose from the paper list. Nicce idea, poor execution."

"The steak was outstanding, everything else fell a bit short. We ordered shrimp cocktail appetizer, had to send it back as the shrimp were very sad looking, weathered and bruised. We ordered salads instead, which were good. Made a mistake of ordering lobster, it was rubbery and bland. Definitely not the place for seafood. The steak and wine were excellent, which redeemed the dinner. The server was nice, not very attentive. With all the competition in the area they better up their game, we used to love going there, hope this was just an off night."

"My husband arranged for us to try Fleming's to celebrate my birthday. He made our reservations for 6:00 pm. He also made reservations for the Comedy Club in Royal Oak for 8:00 pm. He thought 1.5 hours would be plenty of time for us to eat our dinner. Unfortunately, we waited almost 1.5 hours for our food to arrive, so we had to eat quickly and have most of it boxed up to take with us in order to make it to our show in time. While waiting anxiously for our food, we flagged down the manager and told him our predicament and he went to check on our order. He also gave us a $25 gift card to come back at another time, which was kind of him. But unfortunately, that did not help our situation that night."

"This was my first visit to Flemings. Unfortunately, the quality of the food and its preparation did not match up with other fine steakhouses. Two of the meals were severely overcooked and had to be prepared again. While i enjoy a relaxing dinner without worries of time, our experience was 3.5 hours. That is a bit much, considering we didnt receive our main dish until almost 3 hours into the evening. When the food was re-prepared, it was good.
I will say, the service was very good. They were very apologetic for the mistakes in the kitchen, and quite polite. Unfortunately, I also saw a couple tables around me that required the matre di to visit for apologies as well. Could have been a bad night."

"I was very disappointed with this restaurant. After substituting mashed potato with baked, was charged extra ($10)! When bringing this to waiters attention, he suddenly didn't recall it bring a substitute AND manager explained there was no comparison because mashed was only a dollop! Ultimately is was taken care of but not after bring insulted several times. I will never eat there again."

"First time visit (and will likely be our last). Was planning to be in the area and we had a $50 coupon so decided to try it. Both of us had the bone-in rib steaks, which is their "signature dish". Steak seemed small for the price and was cooked well past our requested medium rare, though still tasty. The Fleming's potatoes were "meh" and the spinach was OK. Service was outstanding but we were really there for the food. All in all it was an OK meal but for $170 (or $120 after discount), we expect more."

"We love Flemings and it is our go-to place for special occasions such as Valentines Day or anniversaries, birthdays, etc. Disappointingly at our last two reservations (both made via opentable) we have been sat 25-45 minutes late! I am not sure if this is because our Opentable reservation is not waited as importantly as other reservations or rathe because they are accepting too many per night. It is sad at such a nice steakhouse that reservations are not respected."

"Great Valentine's evening at Fleming's, with outstanding service provided by 'Lena'! What a doll! We ordered the petite filet and pepper (au' poivre) strip steak, along with their gastrobustingt mac-n'-cheese... wonderful!! Wine list is quite ample; we had a lovely bottle of Faust 2009 Cabernet that perfectly complimented the meal. Of note*** We were given a table upstairs in the area usually reserved for private parties. The restaurant in normally quite ear busting, but this upper room area was superb and very quiet. All in all a great evening. Oh yes... the Lava Cake and Icecream is OFF THE CHARTS decadent!!!"

"Food is amazing there are lots of yummy specials not on the menu. Only complaint is the service can have a little bit of improvement. I've been here quite a few times and the waiters should be a little more attentive and getting an alcoholic beverage takes a long time. Other than that it's a great place!!!"
