Located in historic downtown Redlands Farm Artisan focuses on local produce and meat procurement. Our vision is to supply our restaurant with products received within the range of a gallon of gas. We focus on locally available produce. We produce all our pastas, breads, desserts, cured meats, pates, etc. Half of our menu is vegan and many choices are gluten free
"We have been going to Farm Artisan for Mother's Day for several years. The food and the service have always been fantastic. The Farm is the best restaurant in Redlands."

"My daughter suggested going to Farm Artisan Foods for Mother's Day and I'm so glad we did. Apparently they had a special brunch just for Mother's Day. The menu selection was great. We each chose to have an egg dish. My husband and I both got the wild mushroom omelet. It was made with a Guyrere cheese. So good. My daughter ordered the Eggs Benedict. She said it had to be one of the best Eggs Benedict she had ever had. The Mimosas were so tasty. All of this was finished off with a dessert menu to die for. We chose the flour-less chocolate cake. It was a little rich for me but still tasted very good. Overall a great place to go for Mother's Day."

"I looked forward to the Farm. I decided to take my mother there for Mother's Day 2013.
Food - French Onion Soup was superb - sausage and ham entree was a disappointment - ham was chewy - sausage great and nicely spiced - vegetables were wonderful - so a mixed bag - I told our server about the ham but nothing was done - the reply had to do with approved cooking time - of course that was not my question - the Mimosas were the best I have had, as was the French Press Ethiopian coffee
Service - server was distracted and took too long to get back to us for wobbly table
I plan to return at some other time to check out a different small plate - I have been looking forward to the rabbit - for not the Farm is not on my must go back list"

"The Chef is so creative. I love how the menu changes with the local ingredients of the season. Everything is always so fresh and unique, without being ridiculous. Highly recommend their vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options - all are winners. And best of all, the Chef has no problem customizing dishes for you to accomodate food allergies, prefererences. etc. We love the Farm!"

"Chef/Owner Roberto has a new menu that now includes several Gluten Free and Vegetarian items. With this change he is catering to a group of diners that have not had many choices in Redlands and the surrounding area. But with this change, he has diluted the menu choices for his regular "Foodie" diners and the menu now is boring. The quality of the food we chose was excellent as uusual, but the choices were fewer. Also, our server was not at all famaliar with the new menu and had to ask the kitchen several times on how new menu items were prepared, the type of sauce, etc. One response to a question we asked about a menu item was for the kitchen to send out a small sample of this item. Even great restaurants and chefs have bad days."

"This was my third and most likely final visit to FA. I ordered a salad with chickpeas, which were uncooked. My cod cake was unbearably salty as were my greens that were under it. If I was a server and saw that one diner had not eaten more than a few bites of anything on their plate, I would ask them if everything was alright. She didn't and didn't appear to care much about her tables.
I'm really bummed because a trip to FAF is something we're excited about when we visit Redlands. We'll have to find a new place for our next trip."

"The food was outstanding! The house-made sourdough bread is marvelous- chewy, fragrant. We tried the cheese sampler, which was nicely presented and delicious. I had a fennel-and-orange-and-garbanzo salad that was nice- the dressing was a little light on flavor, though. Entrees were great too- we had a roasted chicken breast, and I had the stuffed squash blossoms, which were amazing. Service was a bit slow, particularly after we had our entrees - took awhile to get the dessert menu -but all in all, great food and a terrific menu."

"The service was outstanding. Isiah was very attentive and paid attention to every detail. The food ordered from entree was mediocre, for the price. The walnut cake was good and so were the small plate appetizers."

"Chef/Owner Roberto has an excellent menu that changes with the seasons and with the freshest products that are available from local farmers. The menu is always "Farm to Table". The Goat Cheese Stuffed Squash Blossoms are always a winner this time of year (March). This restaurant is a must when heirloom tomatoes are on the menu. As I have said before in my past reviews, Chef Roberto is an asset to the Redlands Communtiy as he constantly supports local charities and constantly gives back in thanks to the customers that frequent his restaurant."

"It's not always easy for me to eat out due to my many food allergies. And since I came in with a large group, I appreciated the wide variety of options, ranging from several types of meat, poultry and seafood to vegan. I also appreciate that ingredients are predominantly local and/or organic and/or homemade. The food was beautifully plated and extremely tasty!"

"We attended the beer-pairing dinner, at the FARM, that's offered once a month, for the first time. It was a 5-course dinner including dessert. The food was delicious, the service attentive and with each course the beer served and it's attributes were explained. Since Tuesday night I have reccommended to two people. Looking forward to going again.

"My date and I were absolutely enamored of our last trip to Farm. We indulged in the 7 course tasting with wine pairing. It is quite exciting to not know what is coming next and being at the whim of the chef! We were in the extremely capable hands of chef Roberto Argentina, and he prepared a fabulous meal, start-to-finish. Our courses included a salad of pickled veggies and goat cheese, chicken, avocado and lentil soup in a great herb-y, savory broth, scallop with cauliflower, halibut with braised celery and potatoes, Shepard's pie with lamb, filet mignon with buttery whipped potatoes, carrot and Brussels sprouts, and a dessert of apricot torte and flourless chocolate cake. Overall, a flawless and extremely tasty meal and excellent service!"

"Our waiter, Matt, was very forthcoming; he saved me from ordering something that would have been undercooked for my taste. He was very knowledgeable about the wines. The food was simply okay. Based on my limited experience in Redlands, I would say that there are better restaurants in the immediate area."

"Ate there twice in one week which tells you that it is good. Tried the rabbit bread pudding the first time which was great. Split several small plates the second time and all were very good. The angus stew with mashed potatoes is what comfort food is all about. Everything is fresh and local. The staff is very friendly and helpful with recommendations."

"I had heard mixed reviews about the farm. Reservations made online, great! It was pretty nice inside, romantically lit, and seated right away which was appreciated. The bread that was served was great! Food, just okay. Nothing special about the $29 steaks, entree salad was lacking a few things per mom, and soups were nothing special. We wanted desert but had another engagement and we couldn't get the waiters attention in time, kept trying to flag him down, he kept walking by but wasn't being observant. So we missed desert and then waiting and waiting for check, I finally had to walk up to someone in bar to tell him we needed check! For what we paid, disappointed in food and service."

"The outstanding quality of the food combined with very good service makes the Farm Artisan Foods a terrific destination whether you live in Redlands or out of town. Chef Roberto constantly changes the menu as he sources locally grown fruits, vegetables and other menu items. The menu is well thought, inventive, consistent and reflects the changing of the seasons. This restaurant is a gem that should be enjoyed several times a year, if not monthly."

"Chef/Owner Roberto continually practices the Culinary Golden Rule: SERVE GREAT FOOD. Also, he changes the menu to reflect seasonal products and to insure that his diners never get bored with the same old menu choices. The menu is very original and creative. As I have said in my past reviews of this restaurant, Chef Roberto is a genuine and genererous person that believes in supporting his community. He supports the local charities and the local farming community. Other independent restaurants in the city should follow his lead."
