"The Food, Service and Atmosphere were ok. Nothing exceptional. The Salmon Kebob was tasty, but the Shirazi Salad was bland and Yogurt Trio hit and miss. I might give it another try."

"Service was prompt, efficient and friendly. Drinks were well made, attractive and came quickly. Nice touch was the mini carafe from which wine by the glass is served. Food was varied, well prepared, nicely presented and very very good. The dining rooms are very attractive and the sound quality was such that we could not hear the large group at the next table. They nicely included some extra hummus for our hungry group and a tasting of delicious home made ice cream even though we passed on dessert. Definitely worth a visit."

"The food here is standard mediterranean fare, its delicious every time. I've been here several times with my parents, both of whom are gluten free and prefer lighter mediterranean cuisine. Try the sour cherry basmati rice, but know that the rack of lamb is a small serving. I recommend the cornish hen."

"Had a superb Mothers day lunch. Every dish was excellent. Very well prepared with the freshest investigations. Appetizers, entrees, desserts and wine were all consistently superb. Service was professional but friendly and warm. Will return again and again!"

"4 of us had lunch here recently, based on positive reviews on OpenTable and proximity to the park. 3 of us chose the $17 prix fixe lunch menu, which had plenty of great choices, and 1 of us ordered al la carte based on a Michelin review. The service was prompt and efficient. All the appetizer and entree choices were consistently fantastic, and the portion sizes were very generous. Although we declined to order dessert (because we were all so full!) the proprietor surprised us by bringing a selection of house-made ice creams - of course we managed to try them. The pomegranate was the group favorite, with the rose/saffron close behind. Although we don't live in the area, I'm already looking forward to coming back on our next visit to NYC."

"This, our 5th visit, was as enjoyable as the first. The food is exciting with intruiging flavors. Try the chicken stew, a traditional dish. The rice accompaniments are a special treat. Thwe staff is knowledgeable and professional"

"This is a great neighborhood restaurant serving Persian style food. We liked the Hummus and falafal appetizers, and the Saffron chicken was wonderfully flavored. This is a good choice if looking for a quiet restaurant where you can have a conversation. They do not blast the music, and voices from the other tables do not amplify in the room and become too loud. The service is very attentive but never intrusive."

"I had never eaten Persian food. Everything was very good: the traditional Persian chicken stew, the basamati rice with lentils, the grape leaves, and other appetizers whose names I don't recall. The ambience is also very nice; soft lighting, quiet enough to have an actual conversation and attentive service. I would definitely return."

"Great Persian Food. It was a treat to try their food. I ate the Fesenjoon (Chicken stew with Pomegranate and Walnuts) -it was sweet but delicious with saffron rice with sour cherries. The sourness of the sourcherries, offset the delicious sweetness of the stew. We also tried the Baba, Yogurt with cucumber and the dumplings. The Baba was average but the yogurt was a great spread for the warm fresh Persian bread that was served."

"Became introduced to the restaurant because of the guitarist playing there, and loved the music with the delicious food. Staff is just terrific with wonderful service. And the cuisine which was new to me was fantastic, really wonderful evening on a day of terrible weather."

"Went here after the Met closed and got there in time for the reduced prix fixe. Enjoyed the food. Service was great. Considerably less expensive than lunch at the Met members dining room."

"I have been frequenting this place for quite some time now and have always appreciated its unique, delicious food and knowledgeable staff. However, after making some minor tweaks to the interior it is better than ever! They have added a lounge area as well as a new happy hour menu which lasts until 9pm! It is a perfect neighborhood spot- consistent, cozy, warm and inviting. The prices are beyond reasonable and the portions large."

"I used to love this place. The food has always been very good but the service has really gone down hill. One of our dishes was forgotten about and after bringing this to the attention of our waiter- he failed to even apologize."
