"During lunch the noise level inside was so loud it subtracted from any nice things we could say about the place. The din was unacceptable. Almost impossible to carry on a conversation. 2 out of 4 meals were excellent. The Reuben was just okay. The salmon salad was okay. The nicoise salads were outstanding. But the noise level would discourage me from ever returning."

"The Grill is always a great place for a near-work business lunch. Its setting provides a refreshing break from the office and even if no one has time right then to get on the course, everyone has a fun moment at least aspiring to do just that. Everything I've tried from the menu over time has been a solid hit and the drugstore burger is hard to beat."

"My wife and I live in the area but have never tried this restaurant before. After reading the reviews I thought we would give it a try, especially since they also have an electric vehicle charging station.. a definate plus. ( has nothing to do with the food though!).. We were lucky enough to get Kara as our server. She was mentioned in a Dec 2012 review. She exceeded our expectations. Friendly, great at conversation and making truthful recommendations. The quality of the food was great. We did order the brisket dish with the cream sauce.. This was on the rich side and I cannot eat rich food. They had no problem taking the meal back and giving us something else instead. This was a great local find. We will be back !!! Thanks Kara & team!"

"As my office is close by, I have lunch at The Grill about 3 times per month. The food is very good, the service is excellent. Make a reservation as the room is small and it gets very busy at lunch or during golf tournaments."

"On Line it said that this was the place to have brunch at Torrey Pines Lodge and listed several mbrunch menu choices. In reality it wasn't. There were about three brunch items and that was it. What we had was good but overall it was disappointing."

"The Grill at Torrey Pines was a delightful find during out trip to San Diego. The staff was delightful, the atmosphere was very pleasant and the food was outstanding. Our waiter matthew was a real gem. He made us feel welcome and took excellent care of us."

"Had a great valentines day experience. The place was quiet, we got our own giant booth to ourselves, the server was extremely nice and accommodating, and the food was just outside my norm enough to make it different, interesting and special but not so much so that I was unsure if I would enjoy my meal. It was all cooked to perfection and very tasty!"

"The food spread was great and the food was very good. I really enjoyed that they had a nice beer list and had plenty of great local beer available. The service was some of the best I've had. It might be hard to justify the cost compared to the other top places available in San Diego."
