"Arrived early / seated late (35 minutes), even after calling 3 hours earlier to clarify there would only be 4 for dinner and not the original 5. Seated at table for "4", which should have been for "2"; serving dishes were quite large. Everytime something was brought to the table, it was a big production to fit the new dish on the table. Food was average at best and overly priced. I have
made Salmon better than what I was served for much, much less $$$. It arrived only warm and dry.

"Starting with the great daily selection of oysters, whether old favorites like east coast Malpeque or west coast Naked Roy, or less known choices like Waquoit, the selections at Oceanaire are always fresh, varied and plentiful. This trip one of our party branched out and had the Escargot Bourguinonne, which had the lightest flaky puff pastry I've ever had with escargot (yes, he shared). The specialty entrees just seem keep getting more refined and perfected. Special note has to go to the wild Alaskan Halibut preparation, which has a perfect balance of enhancements to the fish. And the sweet potato souffle is just in a class by itself as an indulgently delicious"

"I took mom for Mother's Day. All meals were scrumptious. One member of party even ordered a steak that was tasty. Mom had crab cakes and swore they were best she had ever eaten. Com chowder was rich and flavorful. Salmon and blackened red fish were both to die for. I highly recommend. Food and service were great. It is pricy so don't go if money s an issue but worth every dime."

"The dining experience at Oceanaire was magnificent. When we got there is was cold in our area of the restaruant. The waiter got that taken care of immediately. We were given tips about the menu. The food was excellent as well as abudant. We celebrated our 20th anniversary and the waiter brought us a complimentary dessert. All in all the evening was one to remember."

"Everything was really nice. Food and service was great. The only disappointing thing was, a friend told me they printed a special menu when you let them know its a special occasion. I spoke with someone from the restaurant, they advised me to just add what the occasion was and the persons name. I did that when I made my reservation but our menus didn't have his name or any special notes. So I'm not sure if I did something wrong, wasn't given the correct info or what may have happened."

"Very impressed. Had been in several other locations, but this was the first visit in Atlanta. Had a pre-conceived idea or notion since it is owned by Landry's. But I was pleasantly surprised and would recommend this place to anyone.
The food was very good, some would say excellent. The service, from waiter Gene, was outstanding. The manager, Josh, came over to the table and gave us lots of his time, including the answering of all questions about operations, etc.
The place IS pricey. But I thought it was worth it tonight. I also recommend the au gratin potatoes. They are outstanding and frankly, the best I have ever had, anywhere."

"This was our first visit to Oceanaire. We had a birthday celebration and there were 10 in our party. We had a wonderful time at Oceanaire. They made my daughter's 18th birthday memorable. Our waiter, Daniel, did an excellent job explaining the menu; he even provided some education on the different oysters and have a brief history on how some of the dishes were created. He made a great experience better.

"My wife and I have been dining at the Oceanaire for over 6 years, and only on special occasions. The wait staff and management never fail to remember us, and in fact remember our preferences, likes and dislikes. We usually get the same waiter. They treat us in a way to make us feel very special, which is why I return. As for the food, I'd eat there every day if budget and not gaining 50 lbs allowed it! The food is excellent, fresh, perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. There's nothing like fresh fish, which is a challenge when you are hundreds of miles from the nearest ocean. I would recommend the Oceanaire for any occasion, but it's perfect when you want something special."

"Was a little concerned as it is a chain restaurant but the food and service was excellent. Had perfectly cooked scallops- great sides, cream corn and grits. Very nice room with table spaced apart. Our waiter was friendly and quick service. Would return when in area."

"Twice i have been to Oceanaire. The service has been really good both times. I look at the menu online the day we plan on dinning. I like to try fish I have not tried before. I look up the descriptions of the fish I am not familiar with and usually order based on the description. Both times I have ordered my fish grilled so there are no sauces to interfere with the true taste of the fish. The fish on the two occasion have not tasted anything liket the description on the web. The last time I went, the fish I ordered tasted more like the description of the other fish that I was not familiar with on the menu. Even on the recept, it showed I ordered a fish that was not even on the menu. Because of this I have to rate the food poor."

"Everyone knew who we were and that it was our anniversary and kept congratulating us. They put extra touches on the menu and a great dessert and helped make our evening special. The food was absolutely amazing and the service was fantastic."

"Took my fiance here for his birthday because he is a foodie. He ordered the bone-in ribyeye, grilled asparagus, au gratin potatoes and gouda mac and cheese. I ordered fish and chips...I'm not a meat fan, should have ordered a salad in hindsight...

"I took my husband last Saturday for his birthday. This is a very nice and inviting restaurant. We started the night with a hot appetizer: fried red chili calamari with warm Asian Vegetables. The red chili sauce was delicious and the calamari was seasoned just right. For dinner my husband had old fashioned fried jumbo shrimp/sea salt matchstick fries and a side of mac & smoked gouda. OMG the mac & smoked gouda was to die for. It's more than enough for two people to share. I had the baked stuffed shrimp crabmeat stuffing with creamy linguine. Everything about this dish made my palate very happy. Great restaurant, hostess and waitress were so sweet. A little pricey, but worth it to splurge."

"Fantastic place for various occasions. The menu made it very tough to choose just one appetizer/entree. A little pricey but for the amount of food and the taste, definitely worth every penny. Service was outstanding, absolutely wonderful staff throughout. Definitely will recommend, best seafood restaurant I've been too, period."

"Oceanaire used to be my go-to spot for special events, but lately it just hasn't been up to par. Food hasn't been as good as it used to be, service is becoming very mediocre, and all of this is coupled with a very high price. Sadly I'm not longer able to say that this is a go-to place as it has become so hit or miss from a food perspective. Fire the chefs and hire someone to kick the service staff into gear. I used to wonder why this place isn't as full as it used to be, but now I know."

"I took my mom and my wife out to celebrate their respective career successes. I left a note with my reservation asking that the server congratulate both of the women with me for their accomplishments. The maître d' did so, welcoming both women by name and referencing their achievements precisely, as did the waitress who served us that evening, and a celebratory desert was brought to the table to close the meal (Baked Alaska, and it was both a visual masterpiece and delicious). The salmon appetizer was terrific, my wife said that the spinach salad that she had was one of the best salads that she had ever eaten, and the fish entrees the ladies ordered were cooked perfectly, as was my filet which was served with perfectly seasoned shrimp."

"We had dinner reservations for 6:30 and the place was empty when we got there. That worried me. By 7:30 the place was packed. Service and food were excellent. I had lobster bisque; it was one of the best I have ever had. I also had scallops and gnocchi. My husband had risotto and fish. It was delicious. We also had a side of mac & cheese and spinach. It was great. We had too much food, but it was all perfect. I would definitely go back again. Perfect dinner spot if you have 8pm tickets to the symphony."
