JW Marriott San Antonio - Cibolo Moon
Cibolo Moon has a distinct personality, yet it represents the heart of The JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort and Spa. Specializing in Texas Hill Country cooking, it incorporates the diverse culture of the region, its German smokehouse and Artisan Heritage. With its connection to nearby Mexico, Cibolo Moon creates a unique dining experience that is quintessential San Antonio. Our chefs at Cibolo Moon have BBQ down to an art.
"We ate here for breakfast and dinner; both were excellent meals. The wait staff is very attentive as well as are the hostess for accomodations. Would come back here for sure."

"Had a great meal at Cibolo Moon. Five adults and one child. They were very attentive to the child, impressed with that. Food was above average but not outstanding."

"It may be a small menu but its the best of evertthing from Fish to Steak. Want something different try the bison meatloaf. Want the best chicken fried steak? This is the place."

Review 5 for JW Marriott San Antonio - Cibolo Moon
"We found their "known for" BBQ ribs, sausage and brisket to be dry. The service was excellent, but we were disappointed in the $25 BBQ Trio's dryness especially in Texas. Perhaps our expectations were too lofty, but were sold on the specialty entree by the waiter because of the "18 hours" that they smoke their meats."

Review 6 for JW Marriott San Antonio - Cibolo Moon
"We enjoyed our first time there. There were two options for breakfast included buffet or off the menu. We selected the menu and enjoyed the whole egg omlet with home fries and toast. Our server was highly attentive. We'll took a stroll on the expansive grounds afterwards. We'll be back."

Review 7 for JW Marriott San Antonio - Cibolo Moon
"As usual, everything was great! The only issue was that our service was not what we typically experience, or expect. Our server(s) were not as attentive to our table as they normally are, and we did feel a little rushed. When my wife excused herself to use the restroom, her entire place setting and coffee was cleared from the table, even though she wasn't finished. I was busy talking with my kids, so i didn't notice what was going on. Another issue was parking. Very busy morning at the JW Marriott, so parking was very difficult to find. No one on the staff told me that free valet parking was available for restaurant patrons until after I had driven around looking for a spot for several minutes. This was very frustrating."

"The food is really great here especially for a family friendly resort. We had the dinner buffet which had a great selection for both kids and adults."

"We chose this restaurant because we enjoyed the buffet. Some of our group arrived 10 minutes before the buffet closed. The staff asked if there was anything on the buffet they would like before they closed, and got it for him. The food is wonderful, but the service, outstanding!"

"The food was excellent and the setting at the hotel was awesome. We ate at the restaurant three times over the course of our stay at the JW Marriott. I would recommend this to anyone. The barbeque was great, made right on site in their own smoker."

Review 14 for JW Marriott San Antonio - Cibolo Moon
"We ate at Cibolo Moon during a stay at the JW Marriott. The food was delicious.
However, it kind of depended on your server as to what you received at your table. We saw tables around us getting little skillets of biscuits and jelly. Then we saw several tables who did not receive them (including ours). Not sure what that criteria was to get them, other than those that did receive them had different servers than those that didn't. We did not have our drinks refilled when empty, even when one person in our group was drinking water.
Next time, we will probably skip Cibolo Moon and either try another restaurant onsite, or go offsite for dinner. While the food is good and the menu interesting, the service was poor."

"One of the best hotel restaurants I have ever come across. I consider myself a BBQ snob but I had their trio plate two nights in a row. Very good cue. Breakfast buffet is also oustanding."

Review 17 for JW Marriott San Antonio - Cibolo Moon
"The experience of the whole resort was excellent. The Cibolo moon was perfect, it fit to what we were looking for, many times you get food that is geared away from relaxing and casual in the resort situation. My guest and I enjoyed the breakfast and the dinner options and the food was very good. We did not feel uncomfortable in any way and the service all the way around was excellent"

Review 19 for JW Marriott San Antonio - Cibolo Moon
"For the price, I expected more. I know it was a busy night - Valentine's day, but the food selection really isn't very broad. The appetizer was delicious, but my main dish was advertised with a mushroom/roasted tomato rague, and there were all of two mushrooms and two tomatoes. For as pricey as it is, I just expected more out of a $90 dinner."

Review 20 for JW Marriott San Antonio - Cibolo Moon
"Very disapointed. Finally got a date night with my husband and 2 close friends. Poor Service. We ordered a bottle of wine and probably waited 20 minutes or more for her to bring it. Drink glasses empty throughout dinner also. 2 out of 3 steaks over cooked and dry. Bison meatloaf was super salty. Had 3 bites and couldn't choke it down. We had reservations and were seated close to the food area. Very loud and hard to conversate.
Our bill was 260.00 for 4 of us and walked out feeling very in unsatisfied. Huge disappointment. I was thankful for my company and to have a night out with my spouse but can't say we will ever come back. I'll take my 260.00 we spent and spend it somewhere else."

Review 21 for JW Marriott San Antonio - Cibolo Moon
"Went with 2 other couples for Valentines Day specifically for prefixe menu. Our son works at the hotel and recommened it. Our Waitress was not familiar with the menu, gave us misinformation on the menu items and proceeded to tell us that she must have given us what was on Silos menu, as she works there too. Our waitress did not come to check on us, put the wrong food in front of us and proceeded to walk away, The food was excellent. We were put in a corner off the main restaurant, no ambiance at all. The restaurant was very slow as indicated by staff so would have been nice to sit in main area. Noticed roses being given to all the other patrons but no one came to our table. We had to ask for a drink menu and then ask to order drink"
