"Having had spectacular meals at Frascas, we were excited to celebrate our wedding anniversary there. We were shocked at the poor quality of the food and the small portions for the price. I am not quite sure if they are just riding on their reputation but for what we paid, we would have had a better meal at some of the other restaurants in Boulder. Not worth the money!
This makes me sad since we really want a place to go in Boulder that is upscale and for special occasions!"

"Enjoyed our meal but service did not meet expectations. Not sure if it lives up to the hype, although my friends enjoyed the sommelier's tips. I thought the quail was unremarkable and my dessert wasn't much to write home about despite being sold on it by the waitress. Maybe we were just misled but I'm not as anxious to go back as I thought I'd be."

Perfect if you like tiny tidbits drenched in butter; not so appealing if your preference is for fresh, nutritious fare prepared to deliver an explosion of flavor and great texture via health-aware preparation. "We don't go to Frasca often, let's admit it, it is expensive. But that said, we seem to return here for special occasions at least once or twice a year. And this year they remembered us and the last time we were there.
You are greeted and made to feel so special. Service is outstanding. Wine selection superb. (I actually had a cocktail before dinner.) Never rushed. I think we were there about 2.5 hours. Fixed prices, $78/person four course dinner. Felt full, if not stuffed when we left. Presentation outstanding. And of course the food incredible. I am not going to mention what we ate, but just recommend it is all so fantastic. Well, maybe Frasca isn't that expensive when I compare it to places in Chicago, Dallas, NYC and probably Denver."

"Having lived in Boulder for almost seven years, I'd always wanted to try Frasca. I'd always heard rave reviews and talk of Beard Medals and Michelin ratings. Finally, my wife and I took the plunge for our 9th anniversary. The service was incredible. I was afraid it would feel stuffy but it was the complete opposite. The wait staff actually made the experience fun! We needed to be walked through the menu. The food was familiar. The portions were just right. We'll definitely be going back maybe for a Monday night wine pairing menu!"

"I travel regularly, and about once a year, I find a restaurant that is extraordinary. Frasca is once in a decade. First and last, because of the attention to detail, was the service. The maitre d', servers and sommelier were all professional, attentive and well qualified. The second, third, fourth and fifth, yes I ordered the Quattro Piatti, were the most memorable courses I have ever enjoyed. I will not bias the reader with the specific dishes since I was one of a party of six, and each of us would attest that theirs was the best item on the menu. I can not wait until my travels bring me back to Boulder to enjoy Frasca again."

"We visited Frasca recently for the first time upon the recommendation of several friends. The food, presentation, and service were exceptional. My son-in-law is lactose intolerant and our waitress took time to explain in detail which items on the menu contained dairy and which ones could or could not be modified to accommodate him. Close attention was paid to his selections throughout the evening by several people to make sure he was aware if something contained the slightest bit of dairy. The four course tasting menu was very well-rounded and offered us the opportunity to sample a greater variety of the creative and delicious food offered by the chef."

"We have been to Frasca many times and on our last few visits, the food has been inconsistent...sometimes fabulous, and sometimes uninspired. We had dinner at Frasca 4/18 and the appetizers and pasta dishes (the gnocchi was particularly divine) were excellent, but our entrees (two fresh fish dishes) were both overcooked and under-flavored (my husband's fish was even gritty). When the server asked how we were enjoying the entrees and we told her we were disappointed, she offered no reconciliation or apology -- just a shrug. Despite the dull and overcooked fish dishes, the rest of the evening was lovely and as always, we felt welcomed and well attended-to by Bobby Stucky and the staff."

"My fiancee and I dined here after he proposed to me. Everything was top-notch. We felt like VIP's from the minute we walked in the door. He made a note on the reservation on open table that we were celebrating our engagement, and everyone in the restaurant knew and congratulated us. We also received complimentary champagne and an appetizer. The service was outstanding and we had everything our way. The wine list was spectacular and the staff knew every detail about the food and wine. We never felt rushed. It made the perfect ending to the perfect day, we both give our highest recommendation and will be back!"

"My sister and I went to Frasca and were really pleased. We'd heard about it for several years and weren't disappointed. She is vegan and they made very willing accommodations for her and she said it was "over the top". We'll definitely go back. Next time with our husbands."

"The restaurant is always outstanding. We went for one of the wine tasting Mondays and probably will not get the wine tasting option again. We have done this a couple of times and the "tastes" are quite scant for the price. One would think three courses, three glasses but that is not the case here. I have been given larger portions by bartenders to see if I liked something before ordering a whole glass!"

"This visit featured a seat at chef's table in the kitchen, where a well orchestrated team produces the unique food that keeps building Frasca's reputation. Each of the line chefs who prepared my four course dinner came over to talk about their dish to make sure I enjoyed it. I never miss an opportunity to dine with Lachlan and Bobby at their special restaurant in Boulder. You shouldn't either!"

"Frasca is most notably Boulder Colorado's finest restaurant. The cuisine is remarkably and amazingly unique with a special designer taste. Totally delectable cuisine just doesn't do this world famous restaurant justice. The co-owner is a rare Master Sommelier with a master personality to match. Yes, the service is impeccable and unpretentious. My husband and I chose Frasca to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and will treasure each moment and each designer taste. As a farewell, we were presented with a genuine Magnolia leaf that had inscribed in icing the # 20 along with lots of hearts that is usually presented as a Birthday Leaf. If this experience were on Broadway we would have given it a standing ovation."

"This was our second time at Frasca. Visiting friends in Boulder, we wanted to thank them for a great weekend, Frasca hit the spot. We all had the fixed price menu but tried different options on the menu. All were delicious. Service was terrific, just the right amount of attention and never felt rushed. We had different wines suggested as we worked our way through the courses and were happy with all the recommendations. We will go back."

"We have eaten at Frasca in the past and found the food to be very good. This time several dishes missed badly. Polenta was bland and boring, the crisp on the top seemed like an afterthought. Orechetti was too salty. Rigatoni with swordfish and raisins was sweet and the rigatoni large, hard and unmanagable. The beefshank was in a bowl and the thin gravy turned the mashed potatoes to soup. Your Berkel did its job slicing the salumi paper thin. The sturgeon was cooked perfectly. We liked the salt and acidity of the bacon and blackeyed peas. Chocolates were melt in the mouth good. Pinot from Slovenia was great. Service was tip top as expected."
