"The service was the best in the city. All of the food was very fresh and handled with care. We ordered the specials and we were each pleased with the selection. The portions were perfect. We can not overstate the service by our waiter - he was most attentive in a busy dining room. The prices need a slight adjustment - although they were not hurting for diners on a Thursday night!"

"The shrimp were awesome as always and the tuna appetizer was delicious. However, two of us (seven in our group) ordered the scallop special and they were so gritty that we could not eat them. Two others ordered the rock fish special and the fish was overcooked, dried out and tasteless.

A little embarrassing since I had out of town guests and I had spoken so highly of the restaurant."

"The shrimp appetizer was, as always, excellent. Portions seem to be smaller but prices have not changed. I had the baked seafood platter, a platter that I normally get fried, and although it was good, I was definitely missing the "fat is flavor" that comes from the fried preparation. If havingg scallops, be sure to have the dill sauce, it's excellent!"

"Steiny's is a gem; reminds me of the dinner clubs my parents used to go to in the Midwest. Superior food without being stuffy or over done. The service was perfect. If you are new to town get in the car and drive to Steinhilber's- a local favorite for good reason!"

"On a cold week night, the roaring fire was so inviting. The shrimp lived up to its reputation; however, the twice baked potato was dry and cool. At this point, I would not give up on what has been one of my favorites."

"I liked the scallop dish that I ordered. We ordered the fried calamari for an appetizer; would have preferred it to be a little more crisper. The dipping sauce was interesting since it was more on the sweeter side... would have liked a more savory sauce, but it overall was tasty. Overall, the service and ambiance was great. The cornbread was amazing - definitely a great treat to have with dinner."
