The food at Wild Ginger spans the Pacific Rim from China to Indonesia. We pride ourselves on offering traditional dishes from these distinctive regions and insist on house-made ingredients. Chefs make spicy chili sambals, fresh coconut milk, delicate egg noodles, and our pungent oyster sauce all from scratch. To achieve the sublime flavors of the East, there is no substitute for the time-honored customs of these rich and ancient cultures.
"Since moving to Bellevue a year ago, the Wild Ginger has been one of our favorite restaurants. It always has great food and service with convenient parking. We eat here at least once a week. We love it."

"Overall the food was good (been many times before), but service was poor. Infrequent checks to see how we're doing. Would do a drive by to drop something off without asking what else we needed (wanted to order a bottle of wine!). Ordered a dish that was never delivered. Not sure if we ended up paying for that or not. We'll go back, but worst Wild Ginger experience we've had, and on Mother's Day...."

"The food was great - as usual. You can't go wrong with the Seven Flavor Beef or the Chicken Chieu! Favorites of ours. Service was a bit off, but not a deterrent from returning to Wild Ginger."

"I have always loved Wild Ginger but the last two times I've been back, the food has been mediocre. I went for Mother's Day with my 16 year old son who LOVE Asian food. We ordered a few items off the Dim Sum list and they were gummy and not very tasty. Our entrees were pretty good but not at the standard I expected."

"I dine at Wild Ginger once in a while, and the food is consistently good. I was disappointed by the service received on Mother's Day. The restaurant was busy but not overflowing, yet it must have been short-staffed. We never received rice with our meal, and the waiter forgot to bring our second round of beverages for quite some time. I would still go back, but perhaps not on a holiday."

"I originally had reserved a table downstairs. Because it was a sunny day I was allowed to move to an upstairs spot and sit at the rail where I had a view of downtown Bellevue (and enjoyed Happy Hour prices). The waiter was very courteous and professional and even asked about any food allergies. I tried the boar and duck sliders. They were delicious."

"I always enjoy the food here. The service was a little off this time. They brought out our 6 dishes separately, with the last one coming nearly 10 minutes after the first. But everything was delicious, as always, and I will continue going back."

"The shrimp asparagus satay was THE YUM! I went here with a friend for Restaurant Week and I am so glad I made reservations because it seems like all of Downtown Bellevue goes here for lunch. Anyway, my food was delicious and the boy across the table from me could not agree more."

"Food at Wild Ginger is amazing. The tastes linger with each bite. The service is professional and friendly. The tables are a little close together, and we were near a noisy group, but we still had a very good evening and I would return there - soon."

"I like all their Satay's but my favorite is Peasant’s chicken and Thai Chicken satay. This time I ordered a Chicken POTSTICKERS, which came out great and GREEN CURRY CHICKEN, which had no curry in the dish, just pieces of chicken. The service was ok. Although it was not the rush hour of the lunch, our server was still busy and not available for the most part."

"I was really disappointed. I expected to top my previous experience dining at Wild Ginger, Bravern, Bellevue, WA, instead :
1. The veg fritters were dripping oil and characterless. 2. The main entre that I chose veg rama with potatoes, eggplant, sweet potatoes and tofu was so bad -- the potatoes and eggplant was undercooked, the onions raw and not complimentary to the recipe, just not what I expected from Wild ginger. No delicate flavor, no differentiating tastes.
I don't know if I will be that enthusiastic about eating there again :-("

"Our group grew from 8 to 12 and Wild Ginger immediately accommodated the change. Lunch was delightful, service was excellent and the Seven Fragrant Beef was delicious. We will definitely enjoy the fare and service again. Perfect for anyone visiting the Meydenbauer for conferences. Wild Ginger is just up and around the corner."

"Great Gluten-Free options! I love the fact all of the gluten-free options are noted on the menus, and there is a large selection to choose from. What sets this restaurant apart from others is their balance of fresh herbs used to highlight each dish."

"The Asian bistro concept seems to be very popular now. This place could be good but the food needs some improvement. The Hanoi spring rolls were scorched. When I asked the server, he told me that was normal. Really? Wrapping them in the butter lettuce leaves and adding sauce turned into a sloppy mess. The thai flank steak was good. The duck was okay as it seemed really under-seasoned. I like the format where portions can be large or small depending on your appetite. I think I would give it another chance. Maybe I just didn't get the really good stuff on the menu."

"Though I've been here many times before, never on a Saturday night. It was lively, full to the brim, and food equally as delicious as on any visit. There were just two of us, and it was wonderful to be offered a smaller portion of each dish. Our server was outstanding, checked in often, and apologized for the delay in order coming out. There was a very large party, I'd guess at least 15, that got their order in just before we managed to, but it was fine. The scallop satay was wonderful, as was the Penang Beef. I think this is the most interesting restaurant on the Eastside. They validate parking in the Braver garage, but NOT valet, which was $7.00. Again no big deal. LOVED it!"

"The lettuce cups were tasty, the duck was great, and plenty of it. My wife had the steelhead fish and was also good. $15 corkage (not bad). This was our second time and both times were great. Service was attentive, but not overpowering. I would recommend this resturant."

"I had the signature duck dish - VERY good. And my husband's curry was noteworthy but did not meet the bar of his favorite restaurant's version. We assume our server was fairly new. Pretty much had to tell her what she needed to do throughout the meal, i.e. request the finished appetizer plates and service be cleared and replaced with new set-ups when the main course arrived. The service did create a disappointment, as my husband and I rarely are able to have a night out together. As such the overall experience was lacking."

"Apparently this place is suppose to be an Asian resturant and Satay Bar. This is the most tasteless food I've ever eaten. And I've yet to figure out why the put a plate out only to have it always be taken away."

"Pretty good, very nice waiter, but he was spread very thin so things were slow. We weren't in a hurry so it was fine. The food was interesting but far more salty than necessary. Overall we enjoyed the evening."

"The two of us shared family style: chili beef and panang curry with chicken. The beef was tender and very tasty, the curry tender and tasted OK .. could have been a little spicier for more taste. Attentive, friendly service. I felt $35 was little high for two small plates and two iced teas.
First time I had been here for lunch (several times for dinner before) and I found it a great spot for a business lunch with networking and discussion of potential opportunities, as the booths are spacious, it was bright and light, and not noisy despite there being several groups nearby."

"My wife and I had a date night here on Friday. Lots of energy, but didn't feel crowded. Food was awesome. Loved the sea bass lettuce cups. The seven spice beef was a hit also.
Service was a bit slow but not annoying.
There were several groups here and looked kid friendly. Will definitely return and bring friends."
