"GW Fins has been on my relatively short list for almost 8 months, and I finally found occasion to stop in. With a menu that changes daily (seriously-- day/month/year at the top of the thing), food coming fresh from the docks every day, and an incredibly talented chef, I cannot speak highly enough about my experience here. It was without a doubt one of the best tasting meals I've ever had in New Orleans, and I've been alllllll over the city.
The service was also fabulous. They were training a new waiter in our section, but I literally told the senior staff that he wasn't needed-- the guy was that good, and later told us he'd been in the business for 6 years. There when needed, not obtrusive when we needed some privacy-- just a great time!"

"Service was first class, our reservations had us seated immediately, our waiter Carl was kind and attentive. Our plates and silverware were removed and replaced quickly, and management ran the restaurant very well.
The lobster dumplings and sizzling oysters were outstanding. I had the sautéed red snapper over shrimp étouffée and my wife had the blackened swordfish. The étouffée overpowers the fish if eaten together, but the fish was light and tasty and the étouffée was flavor able. My wife's swordfish was delicious and the mushroom risotto was the highlight of the meal. The apple pie with cheddar baked into the crust and two scoops of ice cream was simply amazing and our favorite part of the evening. Perfect portions and four star taste."

"Not being a native to Louisiana, but having lived in Baron Rouge for the past 14 years, I often felt pressure when entaining out of town friends in NO. It's like I was "expected" to know the "best" place to go on NO. What pressure! There are so many good places to go! But, without a doubt, if you are looking for an experience or impression that never fails. GW Fins is the way to go. The atmosphere is perfect, location is superb, and the food is out of this world! The staff is extremely professional, from the start of making reservations to paying the bill, we were never disappointed. I am gluten intolerant, Celiac Disease. The moment I told our waiter, Troy, he took care of me and never once made me feel bad about having to special order!"

"We had the opportunity to go twice while visiting New Orleans... The first night we had the opportunity to sit at the bar and had a very friendly artender who was quite helpful with menu navigation. We tried an assortment of appetizers since we knew we'd be coming back again. Everything we tried was great, really enjoyed the lobster app. Our Open Table reservation gave us the opportunity for a more formal experience in the dining room a few nights later. Atmosphere is upscale and relaxed. Our dinners of halibut and scallops were excellent. Our waitress was polite but quite robotic, everything she said seemed to be recited from a script without warmth. I would recommend that visitors make their reservations at least 3 weeks in advance...."

"My husband and I chose GW Fins based on reviews found on TripAdvisor and Yelp for our recent trip to NOLA. I am so glad we went there! We stayed in the French Quarter so it was in walking distance - a great bonus. Even though there were several folks waiting for tables when we arrived about 10 minutes early for our reservation we were seated within a minute or two (I was told that the folks waiting were walk-ins). The wait staff was incredible... our waiter was VERY knowledgable about the food and made excellent suggestions for appetizers, salads and entrees. The food was wonderful and their menu is great for seafood lovers - many non-traditional items. I only wish we had stayed longer so I could have gone back to try more of their menu!"

"G W Fins is the best restaurant in NO! The food is outstanding! The staff is the best trained, friendliest, most professional I have seen anywhere. The ambiance is great. All in all, it was a wonderful experience. We were made to feel welcome the moment we walked in the door and where greeted by name by a manager and our waiter. Our waiter, Jason, also immediately offered birthday greetings to our celebrant. Jason was a superior waiter, assisted by professional backup. The lobster dumplings were sublime and the crab pot stickers excellent. We both had the tempora red fish. It was a whole fish served tempora style. The skin was had a delicious flavor and the fish was sweet inside. Dessert was great, apple pie and salty carmel cake. Bravo!"

"The hostess was pretentious and discourteous, wrong introduction to a finer establishment. Our waitress was a delight. Other staff were just ok. They all need to reflect a more courteous and professional manor.
Our Drum fish dinner was good, but not as tender as at Borgne Rest., Our Sazerac cocktails were better than at Commanders Palace as was the Soft shell crab, very light and tender. We left after dinning at 3 restaurants in 3 nights and would rate this third on the list. It was good but would rate Borgne more upbeat and fun and Commenders Palace as number one . They just know how to make you smile after your meal and wanting to come back. Costs were similar, the feeling after GW Fins was lacking a great over all experience. Too bad

"The seafood is spectacularly fresh, beautifully & imaginatively prepared. Prices, while steep, are appropriate to the excellent quality of the food. The service is friendly & attentive. The lobster dumplings are ethereal, with intense lobster flavor & a luscious, rich butter/wine emulsion. The redfish with shrimp etouffee is spectacular, with the most delicate light-roux etouffee I've ever had. The black sea bass with foie gras and a demiglace was an inspired combination of tastes. The apple pie is delicious. The wine list is substantial & has a generous selection of wines by the glass. The decor is playful & elegant. If you want a romantic meal, ask to be seated away from the lively bar area. All in all, a new favorite NOLA restaurant."

"This is a favorite of our family whenever we are in New Orleans. Went with another couple this trip and while I was extremely satisfied with my order, the others were just OK. I had the spinach & goat cheese salad to start followed by the sea scallops & risotto. All were wonderful. My husband had the crab cakes to start which were good but not the quality had elsewhere & not what you would expect from this restaurant. He also had the Crusted Drum, which again was good but not something you would order again when some of their other dishes are so much better. The other couple both ordered the Wood Grilled Grouper which they liked OK but again, probably would not order again. Past experience best bets: sea scallops & lobster dumplings."

"Everything was wonderful, from the door staff who went out of their way to seat us quickly w/ the requested server, to Barbara at the bar, to Phil (although not the "Phil" we requested, as he wasn't there or no longer works there), to whatever closing mgr. bringing us the recipe to one of their delicious desserts. And that is before even mentioning the food! We also stayed later than all other diners and staff. Working in the service industry, I know how inconvenient it is for guests to hang around late with no concern for the staff's time or other priorities and responsibilities, but it's also my job and true privilege to give them the best experience possible. I appreciate being treated with the same respect. Can't wait to go back!"

"2 words: Sizzling Oysters! Once you get the first platter, you might as well go ahead and order another. The wood grilled shrimp appetizer was also outstanding. For the entree' I had the Scalibut (scallops sliced and laid over a halibut filet) which was delicious and different, served over lobster risotto and some green peas, which I could have done without the peas. It would have been nice if there had been a little extra risotto. The other two guest in my party both had the Red Snapper, which they seemed to enjoy but nothing really special. The portions were moderate and well prepared, although we thought the gumbo was a little bit bland. Overall I would go back and would recommend to friends...and be sure to try those oysters!"

"GW Fins may now be my favorite all-time restaurant. Either we got lucky and just hit everything right on a Tuesday evening, or this is one fantastic restaurant. Got even more fortunate with our server Jason and his support. He was down to earth yet consummately professional, offering helpful advice on the menu. Our appetizers were both excellent: Sizzling Oysters and Wood Grilled Gulf Shrimp. My wife was very happy with her Wood Grilled Sea Scallops entree (quite different than the aforementioned shrimp appetizer, as per Jason). And, I had the Scalibut -- which is now my favorite all-time restaurant dish. Topped it all off with a truly oustanding take on bread pudding. No way to describe it other than a great dining experience."

"GW Fins is one of the best restaurants I've ever been to.. The service was off the chart, from when we walked in to when they validated my parking on the way out. It was our 8th wedding anniversary and when we got to the table it had some classy glitter type things on it and a special menu printed with our names on it and happy anniversary on it.
Our waiter was amazing. He took great care of us and was very, very good.
The food was off the charts. We left full, which, at a high end resultant like this, its amazing. They had 2 different species of tuna on the menu. The food was amazing.
I'd give it a 11 out of 10. We go to fancy restaurants in New Orleans as a hobby and this was one of the best, if not the best, we've been to

"GW Fins was better than I imagined from start to finish. There was glitter on the table and a personalized menu waiting for me at my table in honor of my birthday. I eat oysters about once every five years in order to diminish the possibility of being disappointed (I am an oyster snob). I was NOT disappointed!. The other three in my party, non oyster lovers, loved them as well. The lobster dumplings were as wonderful as I had read about. We all enjoyed our entrees, mine was the scalibut, a GW Fins original. Finally, we had the molton lava cake and the apple pie. I used to think I make the best apple pie I have ever tasted; now I know that this is not true. I absolutely will come back on our next trip to New Orleans."

"My husband and I traveled to New Orleans from Lake Charles for a quick getaway from the kids for our anniversary. We made reservations through Open Table for 9:15 but we arrived about an hour early as we planned on having a few drinks in the bar first. (They have a great wine list!) Our table was ready about 15 minutes before our reservation time, so that was nice. When we were seated our table had been decorated with confetti and our own personalized keepsake menu in honor of our anniversary. A small touch that really went a long way in making our night extra special! Everything we ordered was amazing and Jeff, our waiter, was great! Definitely a place we would go back to, but probably just for a special occasion."

"In a city that boasts some of the finest dining establishments in the world, our best experience so far was at GW Fins.
The Ambiance: While Fins doesn't have the historical flair of Antoine's or the elegant charm of Commander's Palace, it has a more modern upscale-but-casual feel... reminded me more of a New York restaurant.
The Service: Excellent. I let the restaurant know that we were celebrating a special occasion and when we arrived the table was decorated, including a special commemorative "Congratulations" menu. Our server was very helpful with recommendations, and even gave us a free dessert (the Salty Malty!).
The Food: Simply put, everything was delicious. Fantastic fish and well-made cocktails.

"This was my second time dining at GW Fins and it surpassed my expectations, which were very high. I love the fact that they walk around the dining room passing out fresh biscuits throughout the night. The wine list is impressive, but I am more of a cocktail and liquor fan. I ordered an old fashioned and it was a bit too sweet, and ordered only neat bourbon the rest of the night. I had the Scalibut (thinly sliced scallops wrapped around a halibut) which was amazing and served with a lobster & tomato risotto which was fantastic. My wife had the swordfish which was cooked perfectly, not too dry like most other swordfish dishes we have had. I love this restaurant and plan on coming back in the near future."

"This popular French Quarter location deserves its many accolades. A creative menu inspires even those who don't normally order fish to enjoy seafood. At least one entry of chicken, beef and pork appear on the menu.
Our group of four found all of our dinners prepared attractively with good taste but all were warm at best, the biggest flaw we found but a significant one. Was this the kitchen at fault or the server? Desserts were not exceptional but not disappointing.
Our server did a fine job of highlighting the menu but failed to ask if we wanted to order any drinks so we had to make a request for the wine list.
I'd definitely be willing to try again b/c the menu inspired even if the service didn't."

"We booked this restaurant from home in Toronto before we went to New Orleans for our 32 anniversary. I mentioned we would like a quiet table for this occasion and when we arrived hostess greeted us with " Happy Anniversary" and showed us to our table which was strewn with sparkles and a personalized menu. Our dessert was complimentary and accompanied by a single candle on a plate with chocolate writing spelling out Happy Anniversary. Our waiter was very attentive and the food was amazing! We so enjoyed our dining experience we re booked for another night of our vacation and were not disappointed.WE would highly recommend this restaurant for any one who enjoys great food with an emphasis on fresh fish!"

"I have heard positive stories about this place long before visiting New Orleans and I must confess that the reality has proven to be much better. Very inventive dishes, with a lot of passion and care for the details. Sizzling oysters and "scalibut" have been great examples of chef's talent. Great food, good wine list and quiet!!! atmosphere (why US restaurants are usually so noisy???) are certainly strong attributes og GW Fins. Service could be more aligned with those characteristics, being less intrusive and more professional - nothing critical, but some improvement would help the place. I am looking forward to the next visits and truly envy Newleans such a talented, visionary Chef. Congratulations!"

"Tried this restaurant prior to our "Fling Before the Ring" gals night out. From the time we arrived at the restaurant to the time we left everything was wonderful. Could not even begin to suggest anything in need of improvement. We tried three different appetizers, all of which were very tasty. All three of us ordered the drum fish. It more than met our expectations. After dinner drinks perfectly rounded out the meal. This dining experience was nothing but first class. The only bad side of the meal was that we were full and could not try dessert. Finns even gave the bride to be a menu with her name and the date on it as a momento.. This is what a dining experience should be! Kudos!"

"I wanted our last night in New Orleans to end with a spectacular meal and delightful experience, and GW Fins delivered beyond our expectations. It was a great sign that after stopping for a pre-dinner cocktail at Hermes the bartender told us how he had known the owner for years, what a great restaurant it was and how they get all their seafood airlifted in every day so it was the best in town.
The bartender was right. The fried lobster tail with slaw appetizer was perfection, and the blue crab potstickers were a delicious new twist. Then we split the blackened swordfish with fried shrimp - freshest I've ever eaten. Finished with heavenly apple pie. Best meal in the Big Easy.

"We came to Fins for a birthday celebration, and the food. Everything exceeded our expectations. When we arrived, the table was decorated with confetti and a personalized menu; the birthday girl was thrilled. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable. We never felt rushed. The food! Divine! We ordered the lobster dumplings, soft-shell crab, iceberg triple wedge salad, and shrimp remoulade for starters. Our entrees were the Scalibut, Red Snapper and Grouper. Beyond scrumptious. It was a great experience and we are making plans to return soon. Oh, Fins offers validated valet parking at a garage only a block or so away from the restaurant! What a wonderful dining experience."

"We went back to GW Fins - we have had many wonderful meals there over the past four years yet this visit was a disappointment. I am not sure if it was an off night or if their quality went downhill. The entire experience was mediocre - starting with the hostess who seemed bored and annoyed that we had arrived on time for a 7:30 reservation. We were told to wait with no excuses given. When finally seated, our waitress was harried and short tempered with our questions. Food itself was very average - my crab cakes were truly a disappointment. Sadly - we will not return to OUR 'GO TO" New Orleans restaurant - too many other wonderful places in the city to waste a meal here."

"I took my wife to a romantic dinner to celebrate our anniversary, and I could not have picked a better place. The waiter was knowledgable of matching our plates with the proper wine, there was an endless supply of sweet rolls, and every plate was delicious. We loved the sizzling oyster appetizer, and both our entrees, the salmon and the scalibut. The seats were so cozy that I felt almost at home. We were able to chat without the instrusion of conversations from adjacent tables, and the noise level was minimal. In 7 years living in New Orleans, this is, by far, the most pleasant dinner experience I have had. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone."

"Celebrating 22nd Wedding Anniversary with my husband. The restaurant made this the most memorable with confetti and a personalized menu. The menu changes daily depending on what is available. We had the Lobster Dumplings for an appetizer and could have eaten two orders. Entrees are just the perfect size. I ordered the Scalibut which is their creation of scallops topped on a portion of halibut. This was served with risotto and lobster sauce. If you are fortunate to have an opportunity to order do so it sells out fast. We split a bread pudding which was enough for the two of us. It was excellent! We will definately dine here again on our next trio to NOLA."

"I had highly-valued clients in from Massachusetts and wanted to show my appreciation to them. GW Fins was the perfect dinner destination. The table was ready at our exact reservation time, as well. Ashley, our server, was very friendly and informative but not over-the-top; just right for showing Southern charm, respect, and promptness.
The GW Fins speciality drinks were delightful, appetizers were perfect, and entrees were as good as they could be. Save room and time for the baked Apple Pie -- it is worth it. After your wonderful meal step out the front door into the French Quarter and let the sights and sounds complete your evening."

"Although the food and our waiter were very good, everything else really disappoints. I have never met snootier hostesses. Lordie, the look we got. We were a party of two professionals dressed and behaving accordingly. We arrived around 10 minutes early for a 6 pm dinner reservation and had the hostess say...hmmm, I don't really want to overwhelm the kitchen. What? We were a party of 2. Then there was someone, the owner or manager, who walked from table to table talking to people. Our only experience was his rear-end as he hobnobbed with the table next to us. I had the swordfish and it was awesome. Everything else...I wouldn't bother."

"Something has happened at GW Fins, or maybe it was just a really off night. We have had very good meals there in years past, but this time were sad to discover that the food was disappointing. The soft-shell crab was flavorless, the pork belly served with their formerly delicious compressed watermelon salad was fatty enough to be disgusting, the biscuits so melt-in-your-mouth before were dry and bland. Dessert was the best part of the meal though hardly worth the rest of it. Even the service was lacking in attentiveness, although our waiter was himself a lovely fellow. We won't return. Go to Herbsaint instead for the same price!"

"Another great restaurant of New Orleans. Great food and service. Roomy and comfortable seating without worries of hearing your neighbors conversations. Fresh seafood with a seasonal menu that's printed on a regular basis depending on the freshness of the fish. I didnt give it 5 star because i found the menu to be limited in creativity. I loved the compressed watermelon and pork belly and would have loved to see more creative dishes of such. Maybe I'm just a tough critic and used to NYC dining scene. The men dress code does makes the place that much more elegant. Reasonably price for seafood. Definitely worth the visit."

"I decided to book GW Fins as a joint celebration for my graduation from business school and my dad's birthday. We were running late because of masses of traffic in the quarter but the staff were so accommodating. I picked GW because my parents both love fish and seafood and they were so happy with their meal choices...they both cleared their plates before I had even finished. Especially good were the lobster dumpling appetizer, the seared yellow fin tuna and gnocchi with pesto as entrees, as well as the apple pie with cheddar cheese crust for dessert!
I can't wait for my next visit to this wonderful retsaurant!

"I am from New England and Fins provided us with one of the best seafoods meals we have ever had from start to finish! Amazing Sizzling Oysters and Sift Shell Crab appetizers. Fish entrees were all flavorful. the Scalibut and the Parmasean Encrusted Drum were particlarly scrumptious, yet light, followed by the Pretzel Crusted Salted Carmel Pie. Wine list is sublime and our waiter was courteous and helpful with our menu selections. Also loved the ambience, although a bit noisey, sitting on a booth is a nice choice to enjoy a view of the whole restaurant. Can't wait to return to New Orleans and head back to Fins!"

"My husband and I celebrated my birthday at GW Fins and very happy with our choice! I had my favorite Scallops (grilled with Mushroom Risotto) and my husband opted for the Scalibut (Scallops pressed into Halibut). The serving size was perfect and we shared a Caesar salad which was placed on separate plates. There were wonderful little biscuits that kept appearing on our bread plate, which was a tad too tempting. We ordered the bread pudding to share for dessert and our server told us it was gratis in recognition of my birthday! Best bread pudding we've ever had and we would have gladly paid for it!"

"This place came recommended from friends of mine that live in the area. I was born and raised in New Orleans but never ate here. I took my mother here for her birthday and she completely loved experience. Being that she and I are both foodies, that says alot! From the moment we walked through the door, the ambiance, the taste of the food and most definitely the service of our waiter (sorry can't remmeber his name) it was worth every penny and then some. I look forward to returning with more friends, family and colleagues. Thank you for playing a major role in making my mothers birthday a success!"

"Our experience at GWFins was disappointing. Our waiter was pleasant but fast and we overheard another waiter take time with another table to describe the menu. We ordered the GW Fins special platter called scalibut. It is halibut with encrusted scallops on the outside. It looks and sounds better than it tastes. Too bland. Very very skimpy on the sauce and supposed snap peas etc. We also ordered two appetizers and special chocolate molten cake. The appetizers were the shrimp -grilled and gumbo. None of the mentioned were not noteworthy. We do not need to return for the money."

"Everything was excellent except for the spatters of filth on the back wall of our booth... hard to not notice and totally took away from what could have been an out of this world meal. Before leaving I looked at the booth next to ours and it had a similar spatter of food on the back of the booth wall as well.
BBQ Shrimp appetizer was way better than expected (ordered because the server suggested). The Snapper with Shrimp Etouffee left me considering ording a second to take home... it was so good. Sea Scallops looked a little translucent but tasted awesome with the Risotto."

"The food was delicious. One of our party was given the wrong entree due to an error by the waiter. However, after flagging down a manager--our waiter was nowhere to be seen at that point--the manager told us to keep the wrong entree and the other would be rushed. He kept his word and the right entree was served about 5 minutes later. Overall, the wine was very good and the fish excellent. The salty malty ice cream pie was quite delicious. Ambiance was nice, although nothing out of the ordinary. While the price was high, it was not off the scale for the type of food."

"We would consider this a restaurant not to be missed. Incredible service, fresh ingredients, well prepared, and great tasting food. This is a dining experience that deserves its place among the New Orlean's classic traditional great ol" dining establishments- Old world in the new world. Wonderful blue crab pot stickers,, an incredible Parmesan dusted Drum fish, a sinful dessert!..... Did I mention the fantastic waiter who not only took care of us in a five star way but actually steered us in the perfect dining direction selection wise for the night! We will be back!"

"As the name suggests- seafood is the main attraction; with high quality options for the non seafoodies- esp. the filet. The smoked oyster appetizer was outstanding- we dined there twice in a week and ordered it each time. Canjun and French infulences. Clean, recycled paper menues are printed daily- with new additions based upon availble fresh fish. A non tourist attraction dining gem- the excellent quality of the food is matched with the timely/professional service.
I've been dining in New Orleans for over 20 years and GW Fins is worth visiting.

"GW Fins provided a delightful dining experience. The menu included an array of fresh fish offerings that made choosing really difficult. I selected the fresh flounder stuffed with crabmeat and brie - a distinctive preparation that was well conceived and well executed. My wife is gravitating towards a vegetarian diet, and was served a vegetable plate that exceeded her expectations. The dish had a great variety of freshly prepared vegetables served in a very appealing manner. We will defintely plan to return when we visit New Orleans again."

"Just three of us for dinner. It is sad how many places these days start with a host/ hostess who seems to treat those who show up on time for a reservation as a nuisance to be managed rather than a welcomed guest. Starts the evening wrong - someone might talk to this hostess and remind her to smile? The waiter was prompt and very ready to serve so that was great. The choices we had - were all interesting - but I'm not certain they were as delicious as they were interesting. I've been here now three times - might not hurry back..."

"Fabulous seafood! Just thought I had eaten great seafood in the past. GW Fins has set the bar high. Chef made a special dish just for our discriminating 14 year old. Dish was not even on the menu. My son ate all of it and said 'this needs to be on the menu'. The meal doesn't end with the entrée...MUST save room for the unbelievable desserts. Crème brulee was best ever tasted. Had read in previous reviews not to leave without tasting the sorbee. So true! Great atmosphere, plenty of table space, fine dining service but, not stuffy."

"After reading most of reviews and lots of recommendations we went to GW Fins. The food was not as upscale as we expected, and the service was too snobby!! We ordered the signature lobster dumplings and were OK, Oysters were yummy but we prefer raw bar, the worst part, the entrees: we ordered fish and both plates were extremely cooked and with no flavor at all, we had to pour lots of salt and pepper!!
It is a nice place with a classic upscale vibe, but we are more interested in creative chef designed food, specially in NOLA.

"Service was wonderful, we just struggled to understand our server. Amazing food - starting with the lobster potstickers complete with homemade noodles and a delicious sauce. The scallibut was amazing and so succulent. The flounder roulade was delicious and delicate but order the scallibut! The crema brûlée was a decent creme brûlée, but the pretzel salted caramel pie with homemade ice cream and caramel whipped cream was delicious. With the appetizer and dessert I would have licked my plate if it weren't considered uncouth!"

"This was my fourth time dining at this restaurant. The wait staff is knowledgeable and friendly. We were a group of four. My friend had the Oysters and enjoyed. We ordered the Blue Crab Pot Stickers, lobster dumplings and wood grilled shrimp. For dinner we had the Red Snapper, Shrimp and other fish. This meal was one of my favorites as it always is. They also have the best homeade biscuits - almost like a scone. We asked for more of those. This place is fabulous. Definitely give it a try. You won't be disappointed."

"We spent our anniversary at GW Fins in New Orleans and loved it. They made our night even more special with their added touches - confetti on the table with a personalized menu for the evening, wishing us a happy anniversary. Both the food and the service was wonderful. Before dessert arrived, they brought us a plate with a lit candle with Happy Anniversary written in chocolate. And they even took care of one of our desserts. We were there with friends and the wine we had was delicious! A truly great evening!"

"Food was great! Our server, Brandon, realized my husband and I were intending to share a gumbo and salad. Without our prompting both courses were split and served. The gumbo was served with a flourish tableside, rice placed in center of bowl then gumbo gently poured. Great gumbo! Salad was fresh. Husband had Scalibut, a special that he liked. I had Black Grouper with a great pineapple glaze. To recap--service great, food great and always a favorite of ours, seated near window enabling us to people watch."

"We had a great dining experience. The service, food, atmosphere and value were all outstanding. This is a very un French Quarter kind of place and once inside you would never know you were even down there. It is a very sophisticated venue and one of the really nice touches is the use of black napkins. This keeps your dark pants from getting little white fuzzies on them. This was a business dinner so little touches like this are memorable. Highly recommend this fantastic hidden gem in New Orleans!"

"We're new to New Orleans so it's always about discovery. We had heard good things about GW Fins and we were not disappointed. Food was great, service was outstanding, ambiance just right and we didn't think it was over priced for the quality of experience we received. We would definitely go back and have already recommended the place to friends. Only regret was we were seated immediately and didn't have a chance to try out the bar, of course the cocktails we had at the table were perfect."

"They are a family friendly restaurant, not stuffed shirts like some high end restaurants. I like the fact that they do not push the dress code because they understand that most people who are dining with them are tourist and right now it's to hot for the shirt, jacket and tie.
I didn't care to much for our waiter, he calling my husband and son, boss, brother and chief. Needs more training.
This was our second time there and that didn't happen the last time.
The food was great."
