"While the food was and always is excellent, for the second time in a row it took us significantly longer to get out of the restaurant after we wer done dining. We asked for our check....wait....10 minutes late it comes. we gave the payment....30 minutes later we were finally walking out....so 40 minutes to check out. Unacceptable. The manager noticed and offer compensation....it should not have come down to that....for our second time in a row. Our last visit was last July. We are not sure, but this may have been our last visit to this location."

"Every time I eat her, one thing stands out. The staff is so friendly and accomadating. They all quickly serve you your meat selections when you card is green. If you need a drink or a refill of your side dishes, they are so nice. I love the food and the salad bar is amazing."

"We drove in from the Harrisburg area, and it was well worth the drive. Unlike your typical high-end steak house where you place your order and hope you made the right choice, at Fogo de Chao you have the opportunity to sample the entire menu and select just what you want and as much as you want. We asked to be seated in a certain area, and that was accommodated. The service was attentive, yet not intrusive. Clean plates are supplied without asking.
My only complaint is there is no Fogo near Harrisburg."

"This was our first time and we will definitely return! My husband and I took our two kids (5&11) while visiting Baltimore for the weekend, and they had a blast! It's noisy, it's fun and perfect if you have kids that like to go out to eat but you don't want to disturb anyone. Not to mention the food and the service was outstanding!"

"After hearing about the restaurant I thought the food would be awesome. It was very good, but less than stellar. The service was supreme and unfortunately for me outpaced the quality of the food. Don't get me wrong, the food was good, it just wasn't up to the level of what I was expecting based on what I had heard and the price."

"I am sorry for the poor review but that was by far the worst service from a restaurant.I don't know if it was because we were young but the waiters were rude. My wife simply asked for extra plates so we can split a dessert for my birthday and the waiter laughed at her and point at the plates saying,"I think theres plenty of plates" pointing at the dinner plates. Same waiter also made comment while we were choosing a dessert stating, "It's not like these plates are heavy or anything" because he had plates in his hand. So he left after we said, "just give us a few minutes" so he can put the plates down. He never came back instead some other waitress came to the table laughing after they left the kitchen area.We spent $250 and regret every $."

"We came here for a dinner during a bachelor party weekend. The food was great, although I wish there had been a separate plate for salad. With only one plate, you had to decide about space and opportunity. In all, a good experience, except at the end of the dinner, when we told the waiter that we didn't want dessert. The waiter kept pressing it even after we said no four times, so we thought it was going to be complimentary since they knew it was a special occasion. We got cheesecake with "congratulations" written on the plate - and we got charged for it!!! I don't know what part "no thank you" was hard to understand - it was $9 for cheesecake we didn't even want!!"

"As a first-timer here, I felt it was a bit overpriced for quality of food. Prix fixe dining including extensive salad bar (with some great stuff on it) and an endless supply of meat served freshly sliced from skewers by meat-runner waiters/staff. The salad bar (in my opinion) was the best part. The meat was good, but nothing fantastic. Out of about 12 meat selections, the runners only came to our table with about six of them, and of the 6 I only really enjoyed the bacon-wrapped chicken and filet mignon. Personally, I feel Fogo is a bit overrated. It's a great place to go if all you want to do is utterly gorge yourself on good, but not stellar fare. For the price, I'd much sooner recommend Roy's or Pazo nearby in Fells Point."

"After giving up meat for all of Lent, this is the third year in a row that our family has celebrated Easter here. The kids love it and don't want to even consider eating elsewhere. The "gourmet" salad bar is wonderful as well as the cheese rolls and plantains. Recommend making your reservations as early in the day as possible to get the "lunch" rates- same tasty food, great service, and nice ambience at a lesser cost!"

"Fogo stil has some of the most flavorful meats in the area, but it has lost its open yet intimate, friendly and service-oriented feel. I brought my family there for a birthday dinner expecting a repeat great experience but instead felt like I'd been run through the buffet line at Golden Corral. Too many tables in too little space, not enough servers to handle the flow. Drink orders weren't taken or filled timely, and my family was in a corner out of the flow of most of the servers carrying the food, so most of the time our plates were empty as well. Now, when we DID get served, it was delicious, and our server was a very pleasant young lady who apologized profusely for the delays. Still...dropping that kind of money I expect much more."

"Great food, great service! Tell them if you are celebrating an occasion! Make sure you go hungry because the salad bar alone is unbelievable! The only down fall was that it is a little noisy and was difficult to hear each other and our wait staff."

"This is by far my favorite restaurant!!! They never disappoint. Everyone I introduce to this restaurant becomes a loyal and regular patron. It has definitely become a favorite for special occasions and date nights with my family. Even the salad bar gets rave reviews. Drink and dessert list is phenomenal as well. Give this place a try!!! You will be so grateful that you did."

"We really appreciated the attentive service by the staff at this very busy restaurant. The salad bar is great, but it's really about the meat, as the restaurant chain markets. We wondered what happens to all the meat that the hoards of people don't eat -- no doggie bags allowed (even for very hungry dogs!)"

"I went there on Valentine's Day for the first time and it was great! My fiance enjoyed everything about this restaurant and so did I. The service as well as the food was outstanding. I paid for valet and it wasn't too expensive nor inconvenient. Would love to attend again soon and bring my parents."
