"Fogo has a reputation for being a great place to eat. And it lives up to its billing. I've been to a similar restaurant before in NY and this one beats it hands down.
Come to this place with your appetite, the salad bar alone could fill you up. A good variety of salads on the bar. Love the pao de queijo, I wish I could take it home with me. Would love to bring a plastic sack and sneak them away for later.
The selections of meats was great. My faves were the chorizo, picanha, and the fraldinha.
Can't wait though to compare Fogo to other churrascaria in the area, to see which is the best.
Make sure to make your reservations. And plan to valet, the construction around downtown is horrible."

Review 2 for Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse - Austin
"We are "frequent fliers" with the Brazilian Steakhouses... This trip to Fogo de Chao wasn't our most remarkable experience. We had reservations for 5 (2 toddlers included) as a Mother's Day treat. Our reservation was at 4:30. We arrived and were pleasantly surprised to find a half empty restaurant! The hostess seated us immediately and we began with their usually robust salad bar!! It was okay... As we transitioned to the meats, we noticed that several were over-cooked and/or under seasoned!! The service staff was overly attentive the entire time and ensured that every request was met. In the end, we go for the meats which are supposed to be the "stars" of the experience... We weren't impressed this trip!!"

Review 3 for Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse - Austin
"Great experience with great food. The garlic steak, sausage, filet and sides are phenomenal. Dessert was a treat too. The salad bar was underwhelming and the lamb was inedible. Otherwise, good service although a bit rushed. Great treat if you want to splurge and indulge!"

Review 7 for Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse - Austin
"We were a little disappointed with our experience at Fogo de Chao. We went to celebrate a 40th bday & made reservations through Open Table for 8:30pm.
At 8:30, the hostess let us know they were running behind schedule it would be a while (The whole point of having a reservation is so you don't have to wait!). She suggested we grab a drink at the bar and gave us a pager. Ultimately kept us waiting for a15 minutes before seating us at 8:45pm. It took another 15 minutes (and us flagging down 2 different waiters) to get our drinks and trying to flag down a waiter to order a dessert took forever. The salad bar was medicore compared to other Churrascarias we have been to before
We were very disappointed and will not likely go back"

Review 8 for Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse - Austin
"This place drips of the corporate "cookie-cutter" mentality; find a successful concept and then drop one in every major city. It was like an expensive Golden Corral. I'm glad I didn't pay full price! Tried three different lamb chops...all were cooked well done (even though I asked for MR) and tasted terrible...like the meat had spoiled or was frozen thawed and then frozen again before cooking. The "house cut" was dry and needed salt, by far the worst cut of all of them. Leg of lamb was delicious as well as the chicken leg and bacon wrapped chicken. Filet Mignon was overcooked and just not that good. I think I paid too much at $37...couldn't imagine how I would have felt if it were full price. Fogo de OH NO!"

"This place works great for my husband and I. As a meat lover, it works great for him because this is a meat lover's paradise. As a veggie lover, the salad bar is excellent for me too!!"

Review 14 for Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse - Austin
"The food was spectacular, service was the best I've experienced at any restaurant, and I left so full, I thought I would burst! The salad bar was great and the all you can eat meat was just dreamy. My mouth is watering just thinking about all the foods we ate! It is kind of pricey, but worth it to go during Austin Restaurant Week! Hope I get to go back soon!"

Review 15 for Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse - Austin
"Ive been to fogo before in dallas pd full price perhaps thats why it felt like they had better cuts of meat. The majority of the cuts at austin was sirloin not even worth the 37 we pd per head for restaurant week. I would recommend the store in dallas. I specifically asked for lamb chops on the menu and they never came by and I didnt see anyone have any."

Review 19 for Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse - Austin
"I loved my first FOGO experience. I've been to Dallas Texas De Brazil and I must agree with the other reviews, there's not much difference in the meat from the two. Though, I liked Fogo's house meat better. I must say, Texas De Brazil wins on salad bar, but just barely. I REALLY liked their fried bananas (as a side they give you) more than anything else. Other than that, it's also a tad bit cheaper, but I loved Fogo's atmosphere and service a bit more."

Review 20 for Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse - Austin
"While a visit to Fogo de Chao, Houston, makes you feel like you are in South America, a visit to Fogo de Chao, Austin, left me feeling I was in a typical Austin restaurant - young, inexperienced wait staff that continually left us waiting to be served. The food was fine. We just didn't get the attention you normally get in a churrascaria. In fact, one person at our table finally gave up and asked that her plate be taken away. We will not go back."

Review 30 for Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse - Austin
"I have been to many Fogo de Chao restaurants and this one is by far the worst...all the meat was under seasoned and the waiters were bickering with each other in the dining room the whole time we were there. I would not recommend Fogo de Chao Austin if you are trying to impress a date or business associate."

Review 32 for Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse - Austin
"Outstanding service from our waiter. Food was good but didn't warrant the $50 price tag in my opinion. The restaurant was noisier than expected to but this was our first experience and didn't know what to expect. It's been crossed off the bucket list!!"

"First off I wasn't happy that the flowers I had ordered for valentines day through Urban Spoon weren't on my table when I was seated. It was an $80 waste of a surprise. Besides that the food was pretty good but I have had better Brazilian grill places. The Buffett area wasn't that great and the sides that were given weren't nothing special."
