"This is a small restaurant with an open, comfortable, contemporary atmosphere. The menu had many interesting items and we were both pleased with the dishes we ordered ( pork chops with vinegar peppers and sole en papillote). The presentation of both entrees was lovely. The service was friendly without being intrusive. We will be back to try the recommended corn chowder and other imaginative sounding menu items."

"the food was great. if you like boston quality fare them you will really appreciate this restaurant. the only downside is that it is too loud. whoever did the interior decorating made too many hard surfaces which causes the noise to bounce and the place gets REALLY loud. we had to yell to each other to be heard and at one point stopped talking because we were so aggregated."

"We are always looking for a new spot to try when visiting family on the South Shore. The food at Oro was excellent and the service was friendly. Portions were probably a bit larger than they needed to be, but things were pretty well executed. The wine list was small but well thought out - quality producers and a few unusual varietals/producers."

"We held our daughter's baptism luncheon there and all our guests raved about the food and service. We have been there a few times recently for dinner and love their food and the service is second to none. They have a great drink selection at bar too. I like a clear chocolate martini, they have the right liquor and shake it up just right! Delicious food, wonderful service and happening bar, why wouldn't you go??"

"We love Oro. It is a restaurant we save for special occassions as it is pricy but the food is always supurb.
Unfortunately the night we went a Mom brought her three young children in and they were seated directly behind me. I don't mind children going out to dinner if they are well behaved but a place like Oro is not where you teach children how to behave in a restaurant. These children were loud and moving from seat to seat...it spoiled our birthday celebration.
This in no way reflects on the restaurant which is why we will go back...I just wish parents would think before they bring young children into a small, quaint restaurant."

"The portions were above average size. We took home half of two courses. The entrees were outstanding, especially the local sole in parchment with mussels The calamari appetizer was a bit on the dry side. The beet salad , corn chowder and sushi appetizers were to die for. In fact, the sushi appetizer could serve as an entree! At first we were hesitant to drink the ice water due to hazy floatings but the server assured us it was lemon infusion! Drinks and wine were a bit pricey over similar fare elsewhere. Margarita could use improvement. Martinis were excellent. Service was very attentive. Will definitely come again!"

"Had a birthday celebration dinner with my family at Oro. I had heard good things about it and like to try new places every year on my b-day. I had the madeira duck which was cooked to perfection and delicious. Others in the group had a lobster cake special which l did nibble and found it was also very yummy. My husband had the little neck clams with pasta and liked it. Also served was the truffle pasta which got okay reviews. The food overall is very chic, creative, and funky. If you have a fussy eater in the group, or a typical meat and potato liking person, then this is not the place. The waitstaff was very efficient but not overly friendly. Sitting street level at the window offered a view of a gas station which was distracting."

"We had a very good meal. 2 of our party of 3 had the 3 course specials which was $30 each. Which had choice of soups or different salads, 3 different entrees and 2 different deserts. My companions said it was very good. I ordered duck from the regular menu which was exceptional. I would recomend this restaurant."

"We had another outstanding meal at Oro. The atmosphere is lively, but comfortable to relax at diner with friends. The beet salad was amazing as well as the salmon and the Misto del Mar. Cocktails were yummy (they had seasonal signature cocktails) and don't miss the Cookie Sandwich with vanilla ice cream and whopper heath bar crumble for dessert. We get it every time and is great to share with the table. Such a wonderful place in beautiful Scituate Harbor!"

"From the moment we arrived the staff was very tentative and helpful. We were seated immediately and greeted within a few minutes by our waitress. They have a unique drink selection that proved to be very tasty as well. The food was served in a timely manner and everything was absolutely delicious. This was our first visit to Oro, but it won't be our last."
