Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse – Dallas
Fogo de Chão® (fo-go dèe shoun), is an authentic Southern Brazilian steakhouse. In 1979, Fogo® began sharing the gaucho way of preparing meat in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Today, our gaucho chefs still expertly grill each of our 16 cuts of meat and offer you continuous tableside service.
We invite you to enjoy the delicious preparations of our gaucho chefs along with our gourmet salad bar, authentic Brazilian side dishes, and award-winning wine list.
"The place had great service with the staff attending every need in a speedy manner. The ambience promoted an energetic feel. It felt comfortable dining and conversing with ones company. The two types of servings offered great contrast to the experience. On one hand being able to take your time picking out anything you wanted in the salad bar and choosing at your own pace. On the other you have waited service that provides meats to your table without doing much of the work."

Review 2 for Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse – Dallas
"The service was great everything was taken care of very quickly. If you're a meat lover this is the place for you. Just make sure you show up with an empty stomach and take your time eating. Eventually I got tired of eating meat haha but if you have the money and you feel like you can eat several rounds of meat then go for it."

Review 4 for Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse – Dallas
"So, we went to Fogo's with my family, party of 10 on Mothers day. The service was great, and the salad bar was great. Virtually all of the meat we ate had little to no seasoning, and very bland taste. I understand that some people like just salt and pepper on meat, which I am OK with, but none of the cuts seemed to even had salt and pepper. The house special (I dont remember what the specific cut of meat was) was the only flavorful cut of meat. Even the bacon wrapped was not good and bland.
It was definitely not bad food, but for the price we paid (roughly $100 per person), I would have expected the meat to be on par with III Forks or Ruth's Chris in terms of flavor. It simply wasn't close."

Review 6 for Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse – Dallas
"What's not to love about Brazilian Steakhouses, endless crazy meat? Yum! At $50 a plate, Fogo de Chao is one of the most expensive Brazilian Restaurants in the area, but the service makes a difference. Other restaurants claim great service to justify their price but Fogo truly does it. i.e (You are almost full but want 1 specific meat. I placed my marker on green, the server came around to offer what he had, I informed I was l looking for just 1 specific meat, he turned my marker around, finished his round, and came back directly to me with my selection. No muss no fuss. Other places, I have had to ask the same servers 2x-3x before I get my choice of meat. Is it worth the extra $? Up to you, but at least their claim is justifiable."

"I've been to Fogo De Chao a couple of times but this was my fiances first time and I will say that it was an overall Wonderful experience for us both. The service was incredible and the various meats were served to us promptly upon request. Our sever was also a gem and she brought us a complimentary dessert for our anniversary. We will definitely go back again."

Review 8 for Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse – Dallas
"Fogo never disappoints. The food was outstanding. My wife always gets salad bar only, which is more than fulfilling. The meats are excellent, especially the picana, filet, ribeye, and sausage. We saw they were a member of the Metrocrest Chamber and stopped in to eat."

Review 9 for Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse – Dallas
"This is the real thing, not a wanna-be. A clone of a really good Brazilian "Churrascaria" like you would find in Rio or São Paulo. The meat selections are high quality and well prepared; the salad bar is as good as you'll find anywhere; the "cheese bread" rolls are addicting; and while they have a great wine list, their caipirinhas amaze. (If liquor is not your thing, try a "Guarana"... A Brazilian soft drink tastily different from what the Coke/Pepsi mafia puts out). This is hearty eating, folks."

"Very good food but too loud to have a conversation across the table. Put up some partitions or something! ! ! We cut our dinner short and had dessert elsewhere so we could talk in a relaxed way instead of shouting across a table for two."

Review 17 for Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse – Dallas
"For my mother's birthday, I wanted to do something special so my wife and I took my parents and our son to Fogo for dinner.
Friendly greeting by valet set the tone for the night. Well stocked salad bar, we were warned not to eat too much.
Our son has allergies and they explained exactly what he could and couldn't eat and even cooked up some french fries for him.
There were several types of beef, chicken, pork, and lamb cuts that were constantly brought around, though I think some of them missed us, but you can always ask for what is not brought over. Everything from the sausage to the lamb was tender and tasteful.
This is pretty much a $50 per person buffet, so go hungry, eat lots and enjoy! It's worth every cent!"

"Food is good but too expensive for the quality, at least at dinner. We also had to wait for 20 minutes after our reservation before sitting down. If you are in the mood for great steak, go somewhere else."

Review 21 for Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse – Dallas
"One of our favorite places to dine. We went on Valentine's Day and they were well prepared for the large crowd. All the servers were attentive and a manager stopped by to say 'hi' and check on us. The food was spectacular, as usual, from the scrumptious salad bar to the still steaming meat selections. Also had a caipirinha- fabulous! A beautiful evening!"

Review 22 for Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse – Dallas
"I have heard so many great things about Fogo de Chao. I have always been a huge fan of another local churrascaria, but after hearing so much hype, I decided to make reservations here for the Wednesday before Valentine's day. When you first walk in, it looks like you will be in for a treat. Once the greeter calls you to be seated, you will see that the lay out, the decor and the ambiance do not compare to what other churrascarias have to offer. The salad bar was okay, but once again, I have seen better selections at many other churrascarias in town. Some of the meats were really good, but most were just okay. Lamb chops were definitely my favorite. Prices should be compared to competition that outshines Fogo de Chao."

Review 23 for Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse – Dallas
"Fogo is a favorite of ours. We love the quality of the meat served gaucho style on long sword like skewers. ...and as much as you want controlled by the red-on-one-side/green on the other "card". Green side up means keep on coming with the meat. Red means, I'll stop awhile. ....but that's the meat....the salad bar is equally sumptuous. The wine list is superb, too. All this is done by a team of folks that cater to your every desire. My favorite place to eat, bar none. I actually believe the Fogo in Addison, TX is even a little better than the same restaurant chain in Rio de Janerio where we visited a couple of months ago."

Review 25 for Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse – Dallas
"This is one of my favorite restaurants and dine there a few times each year on visits to Dallas. The great thing about the restaurant is that everything, from the food to the excellent service, show very little variation between visits and I know that I will get excellence in each department. I travel a lot and seek out critically acclaimed restaurants for the experience. Fogo is a chain but the Addison restaurant ranks right up there with the best individually owned steakhouses in the country."

Review 28 for Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse – Dallas
"Decent ambiance and friendly staff with attention to detail; the meat was very good - well seasoned with lots of beef, pork and chicken choices with more available than one could eat. Other Brazilian steak houses usually include a seafood choice, which would have been nice. For the price, the salad bar and side offerings were not as robust as we expected with only potatoes and polenta brought table side. Drinks were well made. This would be a good location for a group dinner when one is interested in something different."

"The meats are the best we have eaten when it comes to Brazilian Steak Houses. Texas de Brazil is a close second, but Fogo's meats seemed a little bit juicier and tastier."
