"My son and I enjoyed an early dinner (6:30PM) in your Bethesda, MD location. The service was a bit hurried, however, the staff was pleasant and complimentary. Your house merlot was excellent. The lamb was cooked correctly and the asparagus was perfect. (grilled) The evening was enjoyable and we will return. Michael Johnson and son, Alexander."

"Went for Father's day dinner. The lack of sequencing of busing the first course caused the second course, which was attempted, to be delayed by approximately 10 min. The filets arrived cold, were sent back and still were not hot. The ordered sides were also cold but replaced with hot. The manager made a limited attempt to comp deserts (which we do not typically order) Poor performance overall."

"This event was a surprise for fathers day. The table was in the perfect location, there was sufficient arm room for six people at the table, and the table settings were clean, uniform, and visually appealing to the eye. The service was timed perfectly, from taking our order to giving us the check. Information on food items and description of timing for certain dessert items was appreciated (since this was the first time for all of us) and we did not feel rushed in enjoying our meal. The cost was to be expected but we did not feel overcharged because the overall food, service, and venue was outstanding."

"A delightful experience. I had notified the restaurant of our anniversary through open table. Special menus were printed up. Everyone from the assistant g.m. Wes, to our waiter, Bob could not have been more pleasant. The food was up to our expectations(delicious), but the special treatment for our anniversary was extraordinary."

"Even once you get past the very high prices for the steaks on the menu, the steaks do not measure up to those in equivalent venues, like Ruth Chris or Smith & Wollensky's. The double cut pork chop for $30 was definitely not "special". Vegetables were under cooked, even for an andante lover. Overall, I will not return."

"Went to Morton's for a nice steak dinner. I didn't get a nice steak! Ordered a 16oz, $47 prime rib and was given something much less than that. There is no way before or after the steak was cooked that it was 16oz. It was so thin, that I couldn't believe it was called prime rib. I ordered it medium-well and it was cooked well done. The Mac and Cheese was very good, but I went to Morton's just to have a steak dinner. I will not do that again or recommend going there to anyone. What was on my plate, was a steak that I could buy in the store for $12 and cook it much better by myself.
The server we had was very nice and knew what she was talking about. As for the ambience, it felt like a fancy bar. My K.L. pie was good, but the steak was awful."

"Poor front desk experience. We arrived early and were told we'd need to wait. That wasn't a problem. But there was a feeling of indifference at the front desk. And then no one came to get us at the time of our reservation when we were sitting in the bar area and having a glass of wine. A more senior person I think "got it," as we were being seated. But it was too late at that point. The person who should have been more attentive was chatting with colleagues in the bar and, we think, having a glass of wine.
Food was excellent. But at these prices (top steak now $57) the service should match the food. Unfortunately it did not. Hard to justify coming back at those prices.
Get your act together in all parts of the restaurant."

"Mother's Day dinner. Mom caught a glimpse of a hostess signing mother's day cards with personalized photos and was very excited for her own that evening. While the food was great, the service was less than desirable. Our waitress was impatient, got our dessert order wrong, then of course, suggested it was our fault when she brought everything out. She did everything perfunctorily--she was only asking questions out of obligation, despite knowing that we were there for a special occasion. She told my mother they "weren't taking mother's day pictures" which we knew was a lie because we saw them for other tables. She took those, again, out of obligation. All in all, the service made this Morton's not all it had cracked up to be."

"At those prices everything should come out hot, correct and without a hitch. 1) a specialty drink was ordered but I came with one of the key ingredients substituted. A ceasar salad was ordered but we we offered no fresh ground pepper. The lobster tail came out and it was cold. The truffle butter can poured on top of the steak. Previously it had come on the side. We had ordered the potatoes au gratin and we got asparagus. Finally, for desert, the chocolate mousse was selected. The presentation samples had the mousse in an over-size martin glass. When the desert came to the table, in as in a small cocktail glass. While the manager gave some discounts, for a Mother's Day experience, it was not all it should have been."

"Thought we`d try Morton`s for Mother`s Day dinner. Although there was a small glitch with our steaks, the food was outstanding. We did feel a bit rushed by our waitress`s aggressive recommendation of dessert (several times) during our meal. We realize some of the desserts took rt time to prepare, but scheesh! I would recommend Morton`s to anyone who would enjoy a good steak."

"It was a bit of a wait when we arrived but nothing too long and it was a Saturday night! We had called ahead to let them know we were running late and they said it would be no problem so they had actually been quite accomodating! This is a restuarant to visit for a special occasion since it's not exactly inexpensive. They will print a special menu with a "dedication" at the top of a paper menu for the occasion you let them know you are celebrating and also offer a free dessert for the occasion as well. These little extra special touches make it a nice restaurant for that special occasion!"

"The service here was impeccable. The decor is nice...small enough to feel cozy, but large enough so you don't feel as if you are inches from another table. This was our first visit and we had a gift certificate for $250. Morton's ended up with $138 more of our money for our meal for 2. Everything on the menu is horrendously overpriced. My $25 appetizer was good, but small. Not the best I'd ever had. For a $25 appetizer, I expect it to be. I ordered the filet. Tasty, but again, for $40, not the best 6ozs I'd ever had. My eating partner says he'd never order the strip steak again. The key lime pie? Ok but again, not the best. If you want to spend a lot of money for a good, not great meal, this is the place."

"Morton's is known for their exceptional steaks, and they did not disappoint. We had one vegetarian in our group, and she had no problem finding an excellent option. The General Manager was fabulous, checked on us frequently, and made an excellent (and affordable) wine recommendation. We were one of the last groups in the restaurant, and it is to the great credit of the staff and management that we never once felt rushed. Great experience, we will return."

"My wife and I just celebrated our 1st Wedding Anniversary there and had a wonderful time. Our server, Antonio, was exceptional. I highly recommend the Oysters, the grilled Asparagus, the Bacon Wrapped Scallops, and of course the steak. By far, our favorite part of the meal was the lemon souffle! It's not something we would ordinarily order, but we're so glad that Antonio recommended it as it was amazing!"

"I noticed that they no longer bring the cart of steaks around anymore. I asked the Maitre'D about this and he explained there had been several changes since they were bought out by Landry's in January. I am familiar with Landry owned restaurants, and its a good thing. The menu has expanded and it all looks good. Our surf and turf was great.Everything was flavorful, no extra salt or pepper needed on anything at all. The seating arrangement has also changed, its more open."

"Great special occasion restaurant, a bit out of my range for everyday dining, too bad for me. Server and atmosphere were very pleasant. There were families with children who seemed to do well in the environment…no rowdies. Staff was friendly and it was clearly a well-managed establishment. We were greeted by the on-duty manager who called us by name. Nice touch."

"We were seated by the kitchen it was very loud. The fillet was overlooked but I didn't bother complaining. It took a very long time for the main meal to come. We were there for 2+ hrs! For $250+, I expected better! Hate to send that message but it's true. We did enjoy the anniversary cake and wine. The waiter was good."

"We had reservations for 7:15 but arrived at 7:00. We were not seated until well after 8:00. Since we had entered the restaurant from the hotel, we were not aware that there was a hostess station at the outside entrance door. The assistant to the Matre' D told me he would get our reservation ticket for us twice and never completed the transaction . I finally found my way through the crowd to the hostess station and got the 'ticket'. The hostess was kind enough to place our ticket on top of about 4 others, once I'd explained our story, but we were, nonetheless, seated over an hour past our reservation time.Our table was just outside the kitchen door, so all the harried waitstaff cruised past us in quick succession. The food was excellent."
