"We needed to find a restaurant that was close by and fit the timeframe of a tour planned later that evening. We were concerned when we saw the sign at the door that said "Appropriate Attire Required." We were in jeans and tennis shoes for walking tour. The hostess didn't bat an eye nor did the wait staff. We were well served and the food was excellent. We didn't rate a visit from management to our table but not a huge deal."

"I took my wife here for a belated Anniversary meal prior to our attending a show. The meal was very good and the restaurant was very appropriate for the occasion but it was the service that was outstanding and made the whole meal that much better. This won't be our last trip here."

"Reservations were made for a special occasion with a special request and the day of the reservation I received a call for confirmation and everything was reassured that my requests were gonna be fulfilled hours later I received a full up call and at that time I was told I couldn't have my requests fulfilled but I still decided to have dinner there. Once I arrived at the restaurant 10 mins before time I still had to wait 25mins for my reserved table so I left due to frustration. So that experience prohibited me from eating and had to choose another restaurant last minute for my special occasion which wasnt much appreciated at all!"

"went for dinner before seeing wicked. as non meat eater, was hesitant and should not have been. the garlic crusted redfish was perfect. and the portabello mushroom fries were amazing - great to share. my daughter loved the filet and soft shell crab. and the dessert she had was enough for 3 - and wonderful (3 chocolate cake). service was prompt without being obtrusive. will definitely return!!"

"Steak was incredible, melt in your mouth good. Expectedly expensive but did permit sharing of entree which was nice since one of us was on a special diet. Service was a bit complicated. 3 people to tend to us but none readily available, so it got a bit frustrating. Meal prepped very fast... Almost too fast as we were out of dinner before we even wanted! Certainly better than keeping us waiting though!"

"Spotted Brennan's Wed eve on a walk and it had "the look," so we made reservations for Fri eve. Walked into a relaxed, inviting, professional atmosphere where everyone seemed to say "leave yourselves in our hands." Seemed like we had hundreds of servers all courteous and at the wait to help us, yet totally unobtrusive. Mouthwatering filet for my wife and my new favorite is the same as Dickie Brennan Sr. Fine wine, perfect lighting and surroundings, and Sinatra serenading us. Had great experience at a Shula's previously, but that doesn't compare. We have a new favorite steakhouse! Tasty dessert to go reminded for 2 days what a wonderful experience we had. Thanks!"

"Went back after two positive experiences last year.
This time was rushed thru dinner. Steaks came out too fast and mine was cold.less than half way thru.
Everything so fast, cancelled wine as we would have been done with entres before it arrived.
Once servers realized we were unhappy, manager came by and ended up giving free desert and glass of wine.
Waiter at first not gracious at all in regard to the pacing problem. Set bad tone."

"I choose to celebrate my birthday at Dickie Brennan's. I was very disappointed. I wanted to try Dickie Brennan's for the first time. Being a local, I thought the food was only average and was not very impressed. Although, I do suggest the crab and artichoke dip. We enjoyed this the most. Service was very slow and did not meet my expectations. We ended up pouring majority of our own wine and felt as if our table was being ignored. I would not choose to return."

"We checked in at the host stand for a 6:30 reservation and were asked to wait even though the restaurant was still mostly empty. After a few minutes another lady who seemed to be running the show noticed us waiting and asked for my name. She was professional and on the ball and had us seated right away. We were seated at a very nice booth and from then on the dining room service was great. Our waiters were very courteous, professional and knowledgeable of the menu. Our steaks and prime rib were wonderful, although one person in our party sent his steak back to have it cooked a bit more. The fried oyster appetizer was some of the best fried oysters I've ever had. Dessert was great as well. Overall we really enjoyed it."

"There really is no dress-code for Dickie Brennans, so don't worry about that. There were diners in what would be considered appropriate clothing for a white linen table cloth /5-star restaurant and then there were those in T-shirts and flip-flops. Anything goes! The steaks and Prime Rib were cooked to perfection and as tender as could be...everyone in our party loved their meals. The side dishes were also very good. The tossed salads (Iberville) in particular were just bad. The dressing had been on too long and as a result it was a wilted mess...better to stay away. Mixed drinks...not much in the way of alcohol in one persons Vodka and Tonic and anothers Jack & water- stick with wine or beer. But the Meat can't be Beat!!"

"I was very disappointed in my experience at Dickie Brennan's. First off, though they seated my date and I at 9 pm they were obviously anxious to have us out of the restaurant by 10. On top of that, they recommended a house special, surf and turf, which was stated to be $30 but when the bill came it turned out to be $40. A 6oz fillet with 3 small shrimp, the kind you'd expect at a TGI-Fridays restaurant, not a Brennan's property was what was served. Very disappointed...would not recommend!"

"Wow, what an absolutely wonderful dinner. Five of the six in our party had fish! At a steak house. It was fantastic. Also the onion rings were terrific. The Bib salad had a great Blue Cheese taste!"

"The service at Dickie Brennan's is ALWAYS beyond compare. Each and every employee from the hostess to the wait staff and beyond treat you like you are royalty. I took a couple that had never been there before and told them that this was not just a restaurant but a Dining Experience. They were not disappointed."

"We had a wonderful meal and evening at the restaurant. The staff were very professional and friendly. The booth seating was comfortable and perfect for our party of three. I'd recommend the Turtle Soup and the redfish. The asparagus tasted as if it had been smoked and was delicious."

"The food was good, the service was slow. We had like 3 or 4 wait staff. However, they did not work well together. Hence that is why the service was fair. We had to wait to order, wait for refills of ice tea, wait for bread, etc."

"While we did book our reservation on a short notice we were seated and NOT ask was the location okay. We were seated right next to the kitchen . it was very noisy and distractive. We ask to be moved and was. It took a while to get our food. All though it was an accident the waiter pour a whole glass of red wine all over my teenage son. He apologized for the accident and my son was a good sport about it. The only thing the waiter did was offer him a free desert REALLY? We felt my son's meal should have been totally FREE and a visit from the manager with an apologize was in order. I can say if it had of been one on the ladies replacement or a dry cleaning would have been included. The steaks were good but the potatoes were cold."
