Tango Restaurant and Lounge serves Latin inspired cuisine and cocktails in a fun, sophisticated 1908 brick building on the cusp of Capitol Hill. From the Tango front door it is just a short walk to the Convention Center, Paramount Theater and ACT Theater. Tango is a family owned restaurant that prides itself on great paella, ceviche and mojitos.

"The food was tasty and the service was friendly making for a great mothers day dinner. This was my second time here and I can't wait top back for a third visit. We showed up for our reservation about 30 minutes early and were promptly seated, a nice bonus since the paella can take a little while to cook. The paella was definitely worth the wait, very tasty."

"Had a large group of 10, everyone always had a drink in hand. Never had to wait too long for anything, service was great! We ordered 3 paella's to share which was perfect for a group our size, along with a few tapas. The meat paella was impressive and by far a big hit!!!! Seafood lovers will enjoy the seafood version. And for a nice mix of both, they have a combo option available too (just be prepared bc the dish can take an hour, but well worth the wait) Definitely a new favorite spot!!!"

"We had a group of 10 and did the group menu and it was perfect - plenty of food - everyone loved it, easiest solution especially as it was on an expense account so that way we knew going in the cost and could budget. Furthermore - they were very helpful doing a separate check for the alcohol we could not put on the tab. Big success with out of town visitors."

"I have traveled extensively in Northern Spain. I am well acquainted with the food scene there. The food at Tango paid great tribute to the foods I eat in Spain, but it is not slavishly tied to reproducing that cuisine. The wine list included two wines from the Basque region that are difficult to find in the states (txacholi grape from getaria). I just wish they included a mencia grape based wine from Galicia to round out the list. The service was excellent. We had a memorable evening there."

"I went to Tango for one of the 3 for $30 fixed price menus and loved the food. The presentation was excellent and the flavors were so yummy it had me wanting more. The problem was the service. I felt so RUSHED that it really detracted from the dining experience. I literally still had half the appetizers on my plate (they had arrived three minutes before) when the main course arrived. And our server crossed that fine line between attentive and impatient. When you shell out fairly high $$$ per person for a meal, you expect a pace and an experience that isn't reminiscent of the "turn the table as fast as possible" vibe of a chain restaurant. In short, I didn't have time to savor and savor was what I was expecting."

"I adore Tango Restaurant. It is by far my favorite place to dine in Seattle. From the Queso Fundido, to the fantastic desserts, the meal is certain to place a smile on everyone's face. The staff is thoughtful and engaging, and the setting perfect for enjoying a truly fantastic meal and conversation - you can actually hear people speak!
The portions are generous and the options have breadth; the offerings will please both vegetarian and carnivorous attendees. Even trying tapas I otherwise may not, I have never been disappointed. Each dish provides something special - I would recommend all with confidence.
To close, El Diablo. Always. Maybe two. Always."

"The food and service were amazing. I am a cook by trade and the flavors were really well developed and the plating simple. The service was great and although Jessica, our server, was always there when we had a question or wanted something, she never felt overwhelming. The atmosphere has a lot of energy to it, but I feel as though the acoustics naturally made the place noisy. At points it was a little hard to hear what the other person across the table was saying. All in all, I would/will gladly go here again when I am looking for a great tapas place."

"Tango helped me succeed in surprising my girlfriend on her birthday! What a great place. I asked to have sparkling white wine (champagne) on the table before we got there. They even helped me choose something for our friend who does not drink. Everyone had a flute to cheers with! The food was delicious, and it came out so quickly. I liked how we were not interrupted other than to order dinner or dessert. The El Diablo was fantastic. As was the port pairing. We will definitely be back! Great place whether you are starving hungry, or just looking for a little something to eat with your wine! :)"

"Kyle was our server this evening and we had a fantastic and interesting meal. My husband and I had both been to this restaurant individually on business trips but tonight we had a chance to enjoy this place together. The wine recommendations were fantastic, the hot tapas were excellent and the service was fantastic. We've been here five times collectively and have never had a bad experience. Highly recommended!"

"Our reserved table was ready as soon as we arrived, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. We sat in the bar and followed the recommendations of our server. The wine and food were fabulous, as was the pace of the meal and the service. My steak was cooked perfectly, the best steak I've had in a restaurant for a long time. An an overall great dining experience, didn't feel rushed at all (Saturday night) and took a bottle of wine home at half price."

"I sent an e-mail to the manager of Tango expressing our wonderful dinner experience. Customer service was exceptional - server was very knowledgeable about menu items & made great recommendations. Food was superb & had beautiful presentation. This was our first time there & we will certainly visit again when we drive down to Seattle for the weekend. We live in Vancouver, BC."

"This is the second time I have been there. The food is excellent and I like the service as well. We had several dishes and only one was sub-par(more of a personal preference thing really),the duck. It was just too fatty for us but the flavor was excellent. I have an educated pallet and this food is some of the best I have had in Seattle."

"We visited tango on for a friend's 30th birthday dinner and it was wonderful. Our server made wine list suggestions - excellent. We checked with him about our food choices - he was wonderful at picking out just the gems we would enjoy. They even had a separate gluten-free menu, a life saver when dining out for me. The flan was fantastic, especially the cranberries on the side. I was able to make a reservation for 10 and the staff allowed us to show up a little earlier than we originally planned for. They were very sweet, friendly, and took great care of us, including putting a candle on the El Diablo. One thing I wish they had is non-dairy creamer, one person in our party was severely lactose-intolerant and was sad they didn't have any."
