La Carbonara is the perfect place to go to for Italian “comfort” food at a really good price. – eat well and don’t worry about what you are spending. Keeping within the traditions of NYCRG other restaurants, La Carbonara has a casual, rustic look, tailored to its surrounding neighborhood.
"We happend upon La Carbonara as we were unable to get a reservation at our "first choice". The reviews on open table looked promising. We weren't dissappointed. The service was great, everyone was very friendly. The food was very good and the atmosphere really nice. We will definetly go back."

"while pricing for food is correct - wines are overpriced! clams were good but linguini was overcooked - tricolor salad with lemon oil excellent as always .....

"We come here often because the food is always great. Sunday the place was very empty and there was only one girl working. I think there were just too many people for her. We had to wave her down for everything. I had to grab the bartender to have him get me a 2nd glass of wine. Other than that it was great as usual."

"Came here for brunch on a Saturday. Had 2 o'clock reservations and we were seated promptly. The restaurant was pretty quiet compared to some other brunch places in the city, so good for conversations. Food was decent, and they have an unlimited champagne option which was a plus. Would definitely come back again!"

"A neighborhood favorite that tweaked its menu with a few excellent additions since my last visit and a couple of great specials. I've never had a bad dish here. And the price can't be beat."

"Friends had recommended this place to us. We finally made it here and were not disappointed. The food, service and ambiance were all wonderful. We would definitely go back and recommend to others. Prices were very reasonable. One thing - and this seems to be a trend in a lot of restaurants, the price of wines by the glass seem to keep rising."

"Carbonara is a reliable neighborhood restaurant.....not over priced and food quite acceptable. Can be noisy at peak hours, otherwise a fine choice for moderate restaurants in our area."

"What a pleasant surprise! We picked this restaurant because it was convenient to our granddaughter's school. When we saw there was an inexpensive 3-course dinner we were quite concerned since that is generally not a good sign as far as food quality is concerned. To our delight everything we ate was very well prepared and delicious. The pork cutlet was among the best I ever had. We will definitely be back!!!"
