"Have dined at Chimayo many times and it has become one of our favorite lical restaurants to take out-of-town guests.
On this particular Friday night, the veggie enchiladas, which we have had many times before, were not up to par. They were dry and lacked flavor, as if they had been prepared days in advance, and warmed-up to serve.
Seafood dishes, soups and salads were excellent.
We will be back, but will avoid the veggie enchiladas."

"Love Chamayo ... every time I have vistied Park City I have gone to Chamayo. This time was no exception. I really enjoyed the scallops and my niece had the lamb which was outstanding! Good combinations of light and tasty ingredients make this a choice place to dine. Excellent wine offerings compliment the meals very nicely as well. I would highly recommend giving Chamayo a try. It's pricey ... but you get what you pay for!!"

"The prices on the menu obviously reflect the anticipated two for one special.
They double the price of an entre and then offer a two for one special.
The problem is it's no deal and my wife and I usually split one entre..
Lastly, I think Bill White's policy of carding every patron is ridiculouse.
My wife is 50 and I'm 67. It's obvious the waiters are embarrassed that their employer doesn't trust their judgement to recongnize a senior citizen. I have not found another restaurant in the United States that uses Mr. White's policy.
We won't be going back to Chamayo."

"the food at chinmayo remains good if perhaps a bit overpriced, but that's park city for you. you can't really get too upset about price on main street.
ribs are great, veggies are good, the scallops were tasty.
the desserts were notably lackluster, particularly the mint ice cream cookie which tasted like a freezer burned it's it.
the wine list is flat out obnoxious though. bring your own. i have never seen such a collection of $18 retail bottles being hawked for $88. 2 times retail is fine and 3X at a stretch and for an interesting list, but when you start looking at 5-6X for very ordinary wines, that's getting out of hand. the by the glass prices are similarly absurd and the choices lamentably poor. get the beer."

"I always make it a point to have dinner here when I am staying in Park City. Love the soup sampler and everyone in my party enjoyed an incredible meal and we had 4 different meals. Love this place. Never disappoints. They have even accommodated me during Sundance film Festival with some favorite dishes. One of my favorite restaurants anywhere."

"The dining experience was so great that we went there twice in the same week. We thoroughly enjoyed the avacado salad, tortilla soup, duck enchiladas, salmon entree. The ribs entree portions were so large and fit for at least 2 persons! Each dish had a true southwest flavor. The desserts were really delicious too. No doubt, we'll be back!"

"This restaurant is very good for Park City Standards. The dishes are original, but everything, except for the ribs are covered and I mean covered in some type of sauce. The ribs are the signature dish, but me and my guest choose other dishes. For the table we shared the Duck enchiladas and the soup sample. The duck was very good but clearly not large enough to split between two people. The soup sample was unimpressive and had no “wow” facture.
For dinner we had; the Pan Seared Sea Scallops, which were very good, but a little too much sauce, London Broil of Elk was excellent, Stuffed Breast of Chicken “Nachos Grande Style” NOT GOOD and we really weren’t sure what the dish was supposed to be a chicken breast lying on top a mountain"

"Overall Chimayo was a good evening. Main Street restaurants are packed this time of year, so the 30 min wait (w reservation) was expected. There is zero room to wait in Chimayo, so plan on waiting in the cold outside. The food is very good but prepare for strong SW flavors of chile and chipoptle. I would have preferred to taste more buffalo and less spice. Service was fine, the waiter was attentive and friendly."

"This was the second visit to Chimayo for two of the three people in our party, so we both remembered it with fondness and were excited about returning. The ambiance is charming; the service was excellent and the food was great, especially the salmon with chimicurri sauce. However, the third member of our party pointed out that the prices were even higher than the other remarkable places where we've dined in Park City this week, which does raise the question of value for the money spent. In future, we might save Chimayo for a special occasion."

"Would like to keep this a secret so we could always get a reservation, but I can't. This was the 2nd time we were there in 3 months and we loved it. We celebrated my husband's 66th birthday there (our son lives in Park City) in Dec. 2012, our 1st visit. The food was so remarkable that when we knew we were returning in Feb. 2013, with friends from NH (where we live), we made reservations immediately so they could experience it. Loved by all!!!! The trout fajita the most remarkable blend of flavors and textures I have ever experienced. My husband had the ribs and my son had the elk. Others had the osso bucco and the steak. As I said, loved by all!!!! (And we had several very, very picky foodie people with us!)"

"The food was not up to the quality of the high prices. Of the 8 in our party, 3 of the entrees were wrong. The food was not hot or even warm when brought to the table, this goes for both the soup and the entrees. Both the wait staff and the manager were very nice and did what they could to make everything right. But in the end the food was just so so and not worth the price we paid."

"I make it a point to visit Chimayo each time I am in the Park City area. The menu consists of freshly sourced ingredients combined exquisitely to produce harmonius flavors and textures in each dish. Items range from game such as the fantastic London Broil of Elk to ribs, fish and seafood. The specialty margaritas with Serrano peppers are refreshing while providing just the right amount of kick, and are definitely recommended.
Service was splendid and the atmosphere is perfect for a pair as well as a group."

"Chimayo is a beautiful restaurant. The food is very good. The margaritas... not so much. No self-respecting high end restaurant should use anything but fresh lime juice in their Margaritas - just this reviewers opinion. The service is good but they get quite busy with large groups and the small tables get lost a bit. No matter.. definitely a good stop in Park City."
