"I am SO happy I found Alchemy when looking for someplace special for my husband and I to celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary. I was wanting something outdoorsy, with a view and of course good food. So many of the Scottsdale resorts were so pricey but Alchemy had come up on several searches and didn't seem outrageous on price.
The view was breath-taking, the service was fabulous (thanks to Jean) and the food was unbelievable!!!!

"I had been here before with friends, members of the resort where the restaurant is located, and it was fantastic. I returned this time as a non-member guest; the difference was staggering. As a member they could not be more accommodating, as a non-member I was just a revenue source. I requested a window seat on the reservation; there was none available, and the hostess just said I don't a table for three at the window, so we were sat in the middle of the restaurant. The only reason to go here is the view. I specifically made a reservation for lunch, though, not needed this time of year, to request window seating, and I am positive that nobody on the staff bothered to read the request. I did not feel welcome, and I will not return."

"My husband and I ate at Alchemy to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. It was worthy of the event in very respect. Since we do not live in the area, all of my knowledge came from on line reviews. They were very accurate. Food was great. Service was attentive but not overbearing. The outdoor setting was magnificent. We got to hear music from the wedding going on as an added bonus. All in all, the restaurant rounded out a perfect celebration."

"Great views, excellent service. The Chef's Special of scallops was very good. We would order it again. We felt it was somewhat overpriced, but ambiance helps compensate. We have been there three times and each time there has been at least one table of eight or more, which made the room very noisy and conversations difficult. Try to be seated away from the larger tables. They do not honor table requests, so if you want a table by the window you must arrive very early, which doesn't work for us."

"We have eaten at Alchemy several times. Tonight was a fantastic experience. I asked for an outside table and we had a table right on the edge of the patio with an unbelievable view of the mountains! Then a beautiful full moon started to rise and the view became even more beautiful. . Our waiter, JR made sure our martinis were shaken to a tee so they were a winner. My husband had the tomato bisque which was delicious. The salmon and the butterfish were equally yummy...both were fantastic! We also had the coconut pineapple crumble and it topped off one delicious meal. Both of us are still talking how good our meal was...the service was great too. Thank you"

Only four tables on the patio, every table has a view!Our server "John" from the South of France was a joy and very helpful in our wine selection. Osso Bucco was to die for, corn and macaroni appetizer was pleasant. "We've been dining at Alchemy over 2 years, every 3 months or so for special occasions. It is a gem as far as locations and the view is spectacular! However, lately we've noticed that portions are really smaller than one would expect for the price. Service of the waitstaff is outstanding or mediocre depending on waiter. Recently, we were disappointed. Unfortunately, due to the overpriced menu vs. portions and service that seems to be slipping with each visit, this probably will not be our "go to" place for special occasions. Makes me wonder if it has changed management in the last year or so?"

"The wall of glass doors was open, so it was a little cool. There were no patio heaters to warm the area. Service was friendly, but not very quick. We waited quite a while between being seated, ordering a drink, placing our order, etc.
The ambiance is lovely and we always enjoy our evenings dining at Alchemy. The view is wonderful. Go for sunset!"

"What a delightful find in Fountain Hills. Secluded location, great views and patio. Food was done perfectly and the service just the way you want it to be. We chose a red wine we'd never had before and it was a wonderful choice - excellent right out of the bottle, no "breathing" time required. It was just charming. We will return."

"Nice view but highly over rated for food. I had barely warm mashed potatoes and filet not cooked to order. The lettuce cups ahi tuna appetizer were the worst presentation I have ever seen (no cups but romaine lettuce logs - crunch lettuce does not go with tiny tartar cubes of fish). Dessert (strawberry short cake) was one I thought they could not mess up - but they did! No whipped Cream on strawberry short cake rather a frozen glob of marshmellow that never melted! Overall very very disappointed especially since it was a 30 minute drive from much better restaurants within Scottsdale."

"The view was incredible...I mean it was nearly breathtaking from the deck outside. The food was great. Unique tastes, perfect sized portions. Service was fine as well. We went for lunch to keep costs down and I must say, given that fact that it's daylight you can really enjoy the view from outside."

"I've eaten at Copperwynd many times and was very pleased. On the special evening of the day afterValentines day we went back to Copperwynd. We couldn't get through the lobby because of the many people sitting around. (Jazz on the hill). When we were seated it took twenty minutes for a waiter to show up. It was so noisy that we couldn't have a conversation.
My wife ordered a medium rare steak and it came to the table well done. The steak was sent back and the replaced steak was so tough that we left it. The Jazz started and the noise was so loud that we just left.
We won't be returning to Copperwynd."

"My wife and I had Valentine's Day dinner at Alchemy. The menu was fixed price for the evening and had wonderful choices. We were given a window-side table with a great view. The server was very attentive to my wife's dietary restrictions. The dinner choices were excellently prepared and attractively presented. This was our first trip to Alchemy, and we certainly will return."

"We have ate at Alchemy many times over the years. There was a down period when it closed during the recession. I've got to say it is back to being top notch, where it used to be! Highly recommended, if you haven't tried it, it's the best Fountain Hills has, with a view to die for."

"We went for our anniversary. It was nice and the food was spectacular as well as the views. We were not disappointed. The crab cake appetizer and lamb entrée were delicious. The salmon entrée just melted in your mouth. Next time we will try sitting by the fire to relax and drink our drinks after dinner. There will definitely be a next time!"
