"We had an early dinner at Acacia, the first time at the restaurant. The food was excellent, and the menu was varied and unusual, with interesting sides. Service was great. All in all a wonderful experience. I would definitely go again. I usually don't enjoy dinner out unless the food is much better than what I could prepare at home, and this definitely hit the mark."

"My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Acacia and had a wonderful meal. The food was first rate and the ambience and service were excellent. The menu required a bit of explanation, but our server was on the ball and guided us to some excellent choices: grilled snapper for my wife and baby back ribs for me. We shared some fried green tomatoes as an appetizer and quaffed the local IPA. All of the food was fresh and the service was well timed. In all, a wonderful evening. The added surprise was that the bill for this high quality meal was under $60."

"I had not been back to Acacia for two years. They have kept their consistency, good food, excellent service and a reasonably varied wine list at reasonable prices. Definitely one of the best value for money restaurants in Frederick."

"I selected this restaurant based on good reviews from others and the interesting menu variety that I found on their website. I really enjoyed that it was fairly quiet so that my friend and I could have a conversation and that our dinner was without the rushed feeling that you get in most overly noisy chain restaurants. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and did not steer us wrong when we went with a couple of her suggestions. Food was pleasing to the eye and palate. Portions were just right for every course. I can't wait to go back for more."

"Server was friendly, attentive, and knowledgable of the menu. The beets were amazing, as were the fried squash blossoms. Scallops were delicious as was the pork and kimchi dish. Best of all: Acacia cream dessert...one of the best desserts I've ever tasted. Hope to go back sometime when the weather is nicer. The enclosed patio looks like a lovely place to eat lunch or dinner."

"My husband and I had a wonderful meal at Acacia this past Sunday night. There were only 2 other tables when we arrived at 6:00, and when we left around 8:00 only a few more had trickled in, so it was very quiet. The food we had was delicious but there were a number of dishes the kitchen was out of (not unusual for a Sunday night, but disappointing). The service was attentive and friendly."

"All aspects of this restaurant create a wonderful dining experience. The service was gracious and the staff demonstrated significant knowledge of the food both in preparation and in taste. Recommendations for food/wine pairing as well as their famed Kir Royale were welcomed and wisely followed. The brunch menu offers a notable variety of different choices from diverse cuisines. Our group enjoyed several dishes including the mussels with garlic-chardonnay butter, omelet, crispy brussel sprouts, and the Thai shrimp wrap with peanut aioli and kimchi. Though we didn't save room for dessert, indulging in the chef-chosen appetizer served prior to our starter course - delectable chocolate donut bites - more than satisfied our craving for sweets."

"This place was fantastic. The care they took to make sure we enjoyed our experience here was 2nd to none. Our server was nothing short of personable, and the management went out of their way to make sure all the guests were taken care of.

I've seen and heard some of the other reviews in which they said the service was slow, and I would tend to agree that the food was "a bit" slow, but that said, the care they took in serving up perfection as well as giving us a few mins to finish each course was perfectly acceptable to us. It was about the overall enjoyment of the experience, and NOT about how fast they could turn the table. We didn't think it was slow at all, if anything, it was perfectly timed for the overall experience."

"Excellent dinner the other night at Acacia. The service was prompt and friendly and the food was terrific. I also felt the check was very fair. The only drawbacks were (1) We shared a cheese sampler and I felt the size of the samples was a little weak for $16 (2) The other problem was that on their website (which cleary states that it is a sample menu) indicated that almost all of their entrees were available as small plates for a reduced price, yet when we got there there was only one entree that could be ordered as a small plate - although their list of appetizers was quite lengthy."

"The food and service at Acacia is excellent. I dined with three others and we all enjoyed our food, from the appeitizers/snacks to our entrees and desserts (order the homemade ice cream...it's fantastic). The dishes are a bit small (compared with normal American portion sizes), but were just enough for a great, filling meal. I ordered the scallops and was not disappointed. The tables are situated closely together, making it a bit noisy, but it was still a nice experience. Our server was fantastic...very attentive, but not too attentive."

"We went to Acacia with great expectations based reviews we have read. We LOVE good food & wine, and have enjoyed finding great restaurants in Downtown Frederick. After the initial warm welcome, we were disappointed in our server who was at best awkward, and at worst, quite offensive. It seems she judged us based on appearance: young and in casual clothes. She made condescending comments, such as 'only animals accept a new bottle of wine without tasting it first' and that 'this is not a drive-thru'. We reward great dining experiences handsomely. Perhaps we full-filled her 'assumptions' about us I only tipped 20% when I usually tip more.Everyone else seemed friendly and welcoming, so perhaps it was just this particular server."

"I having grown up in Frederick always love going down to Market st to see all the evolution and revitalization. Acacia is right at the heart of Church and Market and is a great little place. Fresh high quality food with Mediterranean roots. This place is not for the corporate trough feeders who look for quantity to determine value, so If you like Olive Garden for its "authentic" Italian you'll feel this place is very expensive. Having been a chef for 20 years and knowing what it takes to prepare high quality food with simple simple quality ingredients this place has real value for quality. Acacia is excellent for a real high quality meal in a non pretentious overhyped and really comfortable environment."

"We had a 5:30 Friday reservation to ensure that we could get to the Weinberg at 6:30 or so. There was almost no one in the dining area at that time although there were plenty in the bar area. We were seated promptly and our waitress appeared immediately. We both ordered crabcakes and the Acacia Chardonnay. Both were excellent. The cheesecake for desert was quite good also. And we had plenty of time to make the concert after a leisurely meal thanks to the prompt service. We will definitely return."

"We live about an hour north of Frederick & have friends who live about an hour east. We meet at Acacia a couple of times a year for dinner and always have a delightful time. The food is fabulous, service is very good, and the prices are reasonable. if the weather's nice we like to eat on the back patio .... very quiet and private. We've tried several of the restaurants in Frederick and found them all very good but Acacia is the best combination of ambience, food, service and price & has become our favorite. A Plus - it's right across the street from the parking garage."

"As always, Acacia provides one of the best dining experiences in the area. It remains one of two of our favorite places to go. Wait staff is always obeservant of our needs nad very personable. "We went for Easter Sunday brunch with our 5 month old infant. Not only was the entire staff friendly in a place where babies don't generally go, but many made a point to stop by and say hello to her. Our server Alid was, as always, amazing and fantastic and I can't say enough good things about her! Her service always exceeds excellence and this time was no different. Always ask for Alix when making a reservation!!!"

"It was an exceptionally lovely dining experience. The food was excellent, the service would have been as well but for some reason our waitress forgot to mention the specials for the evening...for which she was most apologetic.
Spacious dining area overlooking a terrace which I assume is open for dining in warmer months as it was, it afforded a pleasantly landscaped view.
We will return to Acacia and are already talking about when! We will recommend it to our friends..it is a gem."

"Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable and helpful when choosing our meal. The food was absolutely yummy giving credence to the beautiful presentation. The appetizers were plentiful, to the point where we could have made a meal of those. The fried calamari and fish were crisp and light."

"I have been to Acacia twice in the last year and it was still as wonderful as the last time. Excellent service and delicious dishes to please any pallet. Since it was Frederick Restaurant Week , my friend and I had the 2-course lunch with entree and dessert. We were both pleased with our choices. Kudos to the chef and pastry chef. This restaurant is highly recommended and I look forward to my next visit."

"We went during Frederick Restaurant Week. However, due to an impending snow storm, very few of the restaurants were filled. The waiter was very attentive, but not annoyingly so. It helped that he was very personable. I am not sure, but because of the low turnout, it seemed as if we received larger portions than normal.

I had the Mussels, Kung Pao Chicken, and Turkish Coffee Crème brûlée which were great. All of my fellow diners were very content with their meals, actually. I would definitely recommend going there."

"We went early on a Friday (5pm) since we had a 7pm movie to see, so the noise level was very low. The server was great and the food was also very good. The server recommended a white wine and it went well with our selections. We had the fondu appetizer which was very good and the Dessert as well. Overall a very memorable experience and we will return."
