"An evening of wonderful, finely prepared interesting cuisine and good wine. Service was excellent with an interesting adjourning bar and restaurant owned by the same owner. Fair price for excellent food."

"What a wonderful dining experience! Being an avid foodie, my expectations surrounding food/dining can be high. A couple standouts of the evening were the fried and then marinated trout with sliced radish and the toasted olive oil/cardomom cake with vanilla cream. Although I first heard of Spinasse because of their reputation in pasta, I must say that the other dishes were far superior, well-executed (perfectly cooked fish), and delightfully creative. In my opinion, skip the pasta and save room for other protein/vegetable dishes!"

"Spinasse lived up to the hype! My husband and I were very excited to try Spinasse after reading lots of good reviews. Everything was delicious and we definetly will be back. A great date night spot."

"I usually don't find many Italian restaurants that make good pasta... it's generally overcooked and under salted and drenched in a awful sauce. Cascina Spinasse brings high-level Italian cousine to Seattle. We tried their special (tagliatelle all'anatra) which was on par with any I had in Tuscany and their pheasant ravioli who were outstanding.
The ambiance is very quaint - only downside was the noise level."

"If you want to spend a lot of money for very small portions and an incredibly limited menu, then this is your place. The pasta dishes are great and that's where I would focus if I ever go back. We were surprised that the menu didn't include even a small garden salad as an option - how hard is it to toss a few simple greens? And it was strange that we were served a basket of rustic bread with olive oil to dip, but no bread plates to rest our slices as we nibbled away slowly. I guess we were supposed to place our bread on the bare table. Also, the server was annoying and pretentious. Our takeaway - it's overrated and pricey for what you get."

"My new favourite restaurant in Seattle! Inventive dishes, beautifully presented and delicious. Helpful, friendly waitstaff. Great cocktails and wine list. Cozy dining room with tables far enough apart for intimate conversations. Love it!"

"I made a reservation on Open Table, and when I got there, they had prepared a special gluten-free menu for me. The service was great. I asked for a wine recommendation to go with my meal and they chose quite well."

"The food is always top notch which keeps us coming back. Unfortunately at this visit the waitress made us feel as if we were simpletons. If we go back again we will make sure to get another server."

"What an amazing dining experience from beginning to end. They restaurant is notable for it's wonderful pastas, which are outstanding. What is most remarkable about all the food is how all the dishes offered had their own personality and flavors, but everything was consistent with its Northern Italian cuisine. This is a great restaurant to order several dishes and share family style. This is one of the gems of Seattle. Note that parking is on the street and reservations are hard to come by. They are on Open Table. The selection of interesting wines was also notable. The waitstaff were all professional and friendly. We even saw children eating here and they seemed completely at home. The decor is very modern Italian."

"Really extremely good. Great antipasti, great selection of wines by the glass, amazing ravioli pasta course and really succulent rabbit meatballs, shared a really delicious dessert olive oil and cardamom cake. and left wanting more. Service was really good and warm. Maybe think about some cushions for the banquette seating."

"A symphony for the palate. Every dish is packed with flavor. There is always something slightly unusual on offer for those who want something little different. The stinging nettle risotto was superb, a gorgeous green and delicious. We basically ordered the menu since there were three of us. More than we could finish but enjoyed every mouthful. Service is attentive and friendly, excellent."

"We had the lamb appetizer, followed by the sage butter pasta. Both were excellent, but the pasta was a bit of a gloopy mess rather than discrete strands of pasta, not offputting totally but certainly difficult to split into portions. We then had the pork rolls which were excellent. I had a demi of dolcetto--fairly unremarkable, but worked well with the food, my wife had 2 glasses of Gavi, fairly spendy at $12/glass but excellent. The total bill was a little under $200.
Our server was generally attentive, knowledgable and appropriately present.
This was an excellent meal, but compared to high end restaurants in Italy, not at that level. However we live in America, and have learned to live with less."

"Spinasse went out of their way to make sure this birthday evening was special for my friend. Fantastic service including knowledgeable and friendly team. The food was incredible as usual and loved the fresh spring choices that were light and flavorful.
Thank you for such wonderful and memorable evening."

"Menu tries to be interesting and innovative, but fails to provide palette pleasing dishes that appeal. It has been a long time(perhaps the last time I dined here five years) ago, that I seen a menu so limited(three entrees), with no represtation of fish(the server suggested a salad with anchovy paste as a fish course when asked), beef or chicken. Unusual is fine...appreciate the creativity, but not the selection or taste!"

"We visit Spinasse frequently. Its pasta is always superb and so are the desserts. We couldn't decide between the antipasti choices and the pasta choices, so we ordered one of everything. Then we were too full to order secondi, so we went straight to dessert. This made for a wonderful adventure in tasting!"

"Great, small restaurant with unique, delicious food. Pace invited you to thoroughly enjoy the food while enjoying the company you are with. The variety of the limited menu made each choice enticing, rabbit meatballs, quail ravioli, etc. It was a delightful experience."

"Do you want a truly authentic Italian experience!? This is it! The only one that I have found outside of Italy. Sure you will pay for it but you get what you pay for, it is worth every penny! I went in with high expectations and left with more than full satisfaction! Our whole party did the "try everything" option and ate every single bite! There was not a single course we were not impressed with. Our server was absolutely amazing on top of that!"

"This is my second dinner at Spinasse and think it is one of truly favorite places to eat. The homemade pasta, especially the thin noodles simply prepared with butter and sage, is amazing. All food is thoughtfully prepared with tastes of freshness and complexity. Service is attentive and helpful. Can't wait to return"

"The three of us ordered appetizers of the Prosciutto di Parma and the Cipolline onions...both delicious! Then we had the egg pasta w/butter + sage, the pasta special of the day, and pheasant ravioli...All very outrageous! We finished w/entrees of rabbit meatballs, Capunet, and duck breast...So Delicious! We can't say enough good things about the food and service! Great Job Spinasse! We'll definitely be back!"

"The service is impeccable and the wait staff is so professional. A waiter folded a napkin while a customer was away, and I love that attention to detail. The food is always delicious and I appreciate the new things on the menu. It makes the experience different every time while maintaining consistently delicious creations. A lot of restaurants make you feel rushed, like they want to turn over the table. I don't feel that way at Cascina Spinasse. I feel like I can have a true Italian experience. Grazie!"

"Spinasse reminds me of a being at a cozy restaurant in Tuscany. The menu is innovative without being fussy. Watching chefs make the stellar pasta through the glassed-in kitchen adds an authentic feel, and their melt-in-your mouth preparations of it are alone worth a visit."
