"The food was excellent. I had the sea bass that I would highly recommend, everyone in my group also enjoyed their entrees. Margarita's were also very good. Service was attentive, but not cloying. Overall a great experience."

"La Hacienda is definitely worth trying if you have the opportunity. It's nestled within the Scottsdale Princess resort, which in itself is an elegant start to your dining experience. The atmosphere, music and lighting was all very nice. I had the shrimp empanada appetizer which was fabulous. It was the best shrimp appetizer I've ever tasted. My entree was the Tampiquena which was excellent as well. If you're capping off your dinner with something sweet, I strongly recommend the Cafe 1921. It's a tequila-coffee drink with chocolate, cinnamon and whipped cream and it is most delicious!"

"My daughter and I spent the day at the spa at the Fairmont and stayed for dinner at La Hacienda. We had a great meal time. The service was great, the food fabulous. We both ordered the shrimp dish and wanted to share the side of veges. I asked our waiter if it was enough to share (meaning the veggies) He must have thought I meant the shrimp because when the bill came there was only one shrimp dish with a $5 shared plate charge. Nevertheless the shrimp was great and since we both had a salad to start it was plenty of food. The margaritas were extra special. I will definitely go back!!!"

"La Hacienda is probably one of our top 3 favorite restaurants in the valley. We are 'foodies' and eat out often. This is THE best SW menu in the valley. Superb menu, superb service & great environment, all located on the Scottsdale Fairmont property."

"I was very impressed with the entire Princess property. I had not visited in a while and heard they did some remodeling. La Hacienda still has the cinnamon coffee drinks which brings about a fun atmosphere and incredible smell. We had the guacamole and lobster tacos for appetizers. Then the filet and enchiladas. Everything down to the service was awesome!"

"We routinely remind ourselves that one of the best restaurants in our area is at the Fairmont Hotel - tucked away in the North end of the complex where a lot of people have never been including those who stay at the hotel. The food is fabulous. Southwestern and Mexican with heavy emphasis on seafood dishes. Outstanding salsas and min-tacos. Lobster Taco being my favorite appetizer. Great setting. Fires outside are wonderful. No one we take here ever leaves without saying "Wow, I never knew this place was here. It's great.""

"We were disappointed that the reservation stated no points would be awarded. ?? Note to Fairmont Hotel: It is impossible to read signs at night that are in black on white on a 4' X 3' board with NO LIGHTING. Fining the restaurant proved to be such a challenge that we finally drove to the hotel entrance, valet parked, and took a shuttle to the restaurant. Once there, I expressed my exasperation to the hostess, who smiled, ignored my comments, and seated us. With all of that frustration beFORE being seated, our experience from this point foward was fabulous. Ray, our waiter, was spot on with knowledge, timing, and professionalism. Entrees were well presented."

"Unfortunately this was a very fine restaurant at one time but it has now gone down hill over the years. Food was not good bat all and I will not be returning until it is corrected."

"brunch I don't recommend. It was bottomless, but we could never find our waiter. He didn't leave champagne on our table-we had to hunt him down every time we needed anything - drinks, water, a napkin, a spoon, etc. Horrible service that was rewarded with a baked in 18% gratuity. our party was only 5 people, including 1 child - not a large party. The food was outside. it was nearly 90 degrees so I was a bit concerned about things like seared tuna sitting in the heat. There wasn't much to choose from. There were about 5 settings of desserts, but nothing really substantial. There were 2 omelet stations, beef carving and sliders. Nothing much for kids, no scallops or pancakes, no french toast or cheese. never again!"

"Order a tequila flight and have a visit from tequila goddess (just to be sure ask to meet her). If you got the cash get the "presidente flight". Very informative and fun. Coffee service is a great end to the evening."

"Truly gourmet Mexican food. Don't fill up on their fantastic guacamole - save room for the fabulous fish dishes and the excellent chicken mole. Try the watermelon salad!"

"Our table of 4 had a lovely dinner (again). Everything was great, this place is a hotel restaurant but a local treasure as well. I must say I was very disappointed in the dessert - sorbet. We ate some but it was grainy and lacked flavor. It sat there for 30 minutes before it melted. A very poor dessert, too many preservatives?"

"We found service to be a little slow, but we were not in a big hurry. The guacamole was outstanding! Children at a nearby table were being accommodated easily. The outside dining is pleasant, as long as the temperature is reasonable."

"Started off with the tableside guac which wasn't impressed with. Asked for medium and had to ask for more spices to make it at least some what flavorful. Chips also very dry and again no flavor. Ordered the El Nina diablo margarerita which was outstanding. My husband who doesn't like spicy really enjoyed this drink. Had the sea bass tacos-amazing. Husband had one of the rib dishes which was also awesome. Service was attentive and he gave us excellent recommendations. Chairs are not the most comfortable-sink down and you feel as though the table is too high. regardless, would go back again."
