"I think this is the nicest restaurant in Simi Valley. It's a pricey steak house and well worth it. My New York strip steak with the peppercorn sauce was as good as you'll find at Maestro's or Ruth Chris and it is less expensive. The menu is varied . They have fish and pasta dishes and even BBQ Tri tip and these dishes are more reasonable . My husband was hoping for prime rib but it is only offered on the weekend. He had a seafood dish instead. The dinner rolls are good, the salads are fresh and flavorful and I liked the drink menu. They offer some interesting martinis. I had a blueberry lemon drop. It was very good.
I hope this place stays around. It seems hard to keep good places open in Simi Valley. I hope to return soon!"

"While the food is really good and worth the price, we experienced very negative service that frankly, had not happened in the past. We were enjoying a leisurely dinner, as we have in the past. However, once my wife was finished with her meal, the server appeared immediately, removed her plates, and asked if we wanted dessert. Meanwhile, I had several bites of my meal left, including the one in my mouth! When we said no, she then proceeded to drop off our bill, again, while I was still enjoying my meal. It was obvious that we have hit the time limit on our table and had to go quickly. Very disappointing and will remember that in the future."

"We had our step granddaughter with us for my son's birthday dinner. She ordered the mini-burger sliders. Unfortunately, they were too spicy for her and she did not eat them. I was surprised that spicy burgers would be part of the childs menu. This was the first time we brought a child with us to dinner and I felt bad for her."

"Very overpriced. Food is mediocre at best - I will not be going back. Service was attentive but over bearing. Filet was tender but relatively tasteless. Garlic mashed potatoes were simply awful like garlic mush. Bruschetta appetizer was served on limp toasted French bread - that set the tone for the rest of the dinner. With no alcohol the bill came to $123 - stick with Ruth's Chris if you want to spend that much and have a great dinner."

"my husband and I tried Larsens for the first time for our anniversary. While the service was really good the food did not live up to my expectations. "Very nice evening at Larsen's. Seated promptly and exactly as requested. Excellent and enjoyable service from Krysta. Food was delicious. Enjoyed Tuna Tartar and Fleming's Salad for starters, both were very good. Rib Eye & Bacon Wrapped Filet both cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. But best dish we had was the Chilean Sea Bass, it was really fresh, flaky and cooked perfectly, done but still very moist, and had great seasoning. "My wife and I went to Larsen's as a last minute idea. The food was amazing, especially the West Virginia Oysters, the Veal Chop special and the Miso Sea Bass. "Larsen's Grill in Simi Valley is great! It's truly one of the very best restuarants in the area! I requested a booth and it was ready when we arrived. Our 7 yr. old granddaughter was with us and she was very happy with her chioces of kids meals. The waitress was very nice and attentive. I hope we get her at our next visit! "I love a good steakhouse and Larsen's is worth the visit. The food was good, the service was as well, but the most surprising part of the experience was the phone call from the manager the next day, making sure that my girlfriend and I had a memorable time. I have never had a restaurant do such a thing. Bravo, Larsen's. Bravo."

"We always enjoy a dinner at Larsen's. Michael, the manager, makes sure all of his guests are well care for and he takes very good care of us. "Larsen's is back to its fabulous self. After two disappointing visits (following dozens of wonderful visits), I contacted the restaurant, on its website. The assistant manager called me and explained that there had been a problem with the kitchen staff, but it had been corrected. She was very nice and professional and sent me a gift card, for my next visit. I met the assistant manager and was treated with courtesy and friendliness. The meal was fabulous. My steak was cooked perfectly, and everyone in our party had excellent food. Larsen's is back on my list of regulars."

"We had a great dinner here. My wife enjoyed her filet mignon, and my cioppino past was perfect! The latter had just the right mix of brothiness/red sauce, without an overpowering bite to it. The assortment of seafood in it was great, and the serving size with the linguini was just right. We had a great bottle of merlot that we hadn't tried before and it put a perfect cap on the meal. Our server was attentive, but not obtrusive, and checked on us an appropriate number of times. "I've been to Larsens before and the food and service were excellent. Not so much this time around. We went on a Sunday evening so they weren't crowded but the service was horrible and the food was also poor. It took almost 10 minutes to get a dinner salad and all the waitress said was "oh your salad didn't come? that's interesting" and walked away. Then I ordered salmon and it was so over cooked and dried up I couldn't eat it but she didn't come back to check on us until my Mom and Niece had nearly finished theirs so it was too late now to wait for something else.
Lastly we told them it was a birthday and they didn't sing or wish my Mom a Happy Birthday or anything. Very disappointing to spend over $100 on a meal and get poor servi"

"It was my 1st visit to Larsen's and I was delighted by the food. I had the ribeye with grilled asparagus and Bacon wrapped scallops as an appetizer. It was excellent. I ended up splitting my dinner with my date and there was plenty for both of us. It's a bit pricey though."

"Steak over cooked and prices a bit high. Good service eventhough it was a packed restaurant. Very loud because of a few intoxicated groups. Overall good."
