Big Bowl features fresh Chinese and Thai food. We make all of our sauces from scratch daily. We offer a wonderful and preservative free kids menu and organic white and chocolate milk! Our meat is hormone and antibiotic free and responsibly raised. We make fresh ginger ale's and lemonades that are out of this world! Our wine list features all organic and sustainable wines and our beer list features many local beers that complement our food nicely. "When I arrived I was meeting a client for lunch and they said they would let her know where I was. After waiting 15 minutes I went to the hostess stand and my client had been sitting there for 15 minutes. The hostess never asked her or offered. Server and food was great but don't ever count on them to watch for your guests."

"I'm a senior and the restaruant was full, infact the next table to customers for our table and the next had phiysical contact with their backs and tried to pull their chairs closer to their table. It was difficult for several of us to hear with so many people in the same room"

"We visit this location quite frequently. Our children especially like the chicken noodle soup. This actual experience the service was a little slow and not very attentive. I never heard the special, however the table next to me did so I knew I wasn't interested in it. i needed to ask for chopsticks rather than being given the option in past experiences as well. I now question if the server didn't think she was going to be given an adequent tip based on my dining companion was my daughter and I didn't order an alcoholic beverage.
Good tip- use open table. Because this location is attached to the mall, having a reservation will get you in closer to your time rather than simply showing up at the door."

"We made a reservation 30 minutes before we wanted to eat and drove there and got in right away. Even though there was an hour wait. This was only possible because of opentable... They were quite busy. Our service was a little slow at the beginning yet got better, yet the food great and we were in and out in 30 minutes.

"I have eaten at this Big Bowl location several times because of their gluten-free offerings. On this last visit, there seemed to be an odd tension radiating from the employees--not just our server but also from some others. In the past, Big Bowl's service has tended to be over-scripted and corporate. This time that was replaced by a "I don't really care, got better things to do," sort of attitude. I am hoping this was a one-off issue caused by some particular situation that night rather than a trend. I would prefer the wait staff to have personalities and not be as scripted as they have been in the past, but I prefer the zero-personality, scripted staff to the "you're not really a priority" attitude I got."

"Big Bowl's food was terrific, as always. But as elegant and classy as the cuisine might be, the place was as loud as a sports bar in play-off season. Plus, the restaurant's location, so close to the mall entrance, meant for occasional blasts of cold air where we were seated -- granted, it was an especially cold Minnesota night.
All in all, Big Bowl remains a genuine favorite spot for us. We usually avoid heavy traffic times; on this occasion, a concert required us to go at 6pm on a Friday. We won't make that mistake again -- the place was crazy busy. (On the up side: Hats off to the kitchen crew for getting our food to us without any delay or slightest hint of hasty preparation!)"

"We were extremely lucky to have remembered we could make a reservation at Big Bowl. because when we got there we were seated immediately while others were told there would be at least an hour's wait. The food was good as always but it seemed my favorite Orange chicken was nt quite up to snuff. The place is very noisy quite the opposite of what one wants with Asian food,and the music, if you can call it that,was annoying when you could hear it at all. I realize these particular minuses are not going to change but we go there now and then just the same as the food is very good and the service generally good even when the waitpersons are busy as they were that night."

"Big Bowl offers a menu spanning Chinese and Thai dishes.
The food is beautifully presented and is consistently good. Most dishes come in a large shallow bowl referenced in the restaurant's name. Besides being able to choose from quite a few dishes on the menu you can choose to design a stir fry by selecting a protein, a starch (noodle or rice) a suace, and then you can select your own vegetables or have the chef do so. You are given a small bowl to put the veg.s you choose in, and you leave it with a ticket at the kitchen counter. When it is ready, it is brought to your table.

"We were seated at a table right near the kitchen and walkway for the wait staff, so it was really loud and congested. We placed our appetizer order and at the same time ordered the food for our kids because they were hungry. About 10 minutes later, we placed our order for the adult food; however it was all ready and served BEFORE the kid's food arrived. The fabulous thing about Big Bowl was that they jumped on the customer service and without even a comment from us, they comp'd the kid's food. Honestly, I didn't even think this was necessary, but it was a very nice gesture. As always, the food was hot and tasty. We'll be back for sure..."
