There’s really only one place for authentic Chinese and Thai–and that’s Big Bowl. It all begins with the highest quality ingredients–naturally raised chicken and beef, heirloom pork, sustainable seafood and produce grown locally. Because Big Bowl believes that the best food is made from scratch, you can taste big, bold layers of flavors in every dish, from the curries right down to the dipping sauces.
Everyone raves about the pad Thai, our spicy dishes that are truly hot, and our create-your-own stir-fry–and for good reason. Every element adds up to big taste and takes our food to another level, be it a fresh squeeze of lime, fragrant herbs or the seared Thai chilies.
Big Bowl is so big on authentic flavors that even the ginger ale is made with fresh ginger root–from scratch, of course.
"LOVE the flavors at Big Bowl - so fresh! Also great happy hour and we happened to be there on Sunday so took advantage of 1/2 price bottle of wine - what a great value!"

"The decor has been updated at this Galleria location but we miss the Asian touches. We enjoy sharing the appetizers for several taste experiences. Big Bowl pot stickers have been comfort food for us for 14 years. Consistently good dining here."

"Big Bowl at Edina is THE BEST restaurant. Absolutely wonderful food! Sometimes its hard for me to find a restaurant that fits my special diet, but Big Bowl has so many tasty options for me. My usual is of course the stir-fry bar. YUM. I also love Big Bowl's drink menu.. their fresh ginger ale and pomegranate sangria.. delicious. Not only that, but the service is outstanding. I haven't had one bad experience yet! Everyone is polite (even in the busiest situations) and it's speedy service but not too speedy.. if you know what I mean. Lastly, the environment is always kept clean and beautiful. I just LOVE Big Bowl at Edina. Keep up the fantastic job!"

"Great Food. I bring my customers here frequently for lunch because I am confident in their food quality. They also take reservations which is important when dinning with customers."

"Made reservation. Arrived a few minutes early was told we would have to wait and given a page. Fifteen minutes later we were seated. Wait staff took our order after a brief wait. Drinks arrived shortly before our meal. One party member was brought the wrong meal (rectified quickly). The meal portions were much smaller than we had received in the past; not sure if this was a one time thing or their new sizes to go along with the new decor. I am a tiny person and I was able to clean my plate which never happens! We drive about 18 miles to go to Big Bowl so it must be worth our while. We will try it again to see if all improves."

"We had a great meal at the Big Bowl in the Galleria. The service was good and the food hot and tasty. It is not gourmet food, but it is very good food at a fair price."

"The food is very consistant giving the assurance you will have a great meal each time you visit, the staff is very friendly and not overly attentive so that it allows you to enjoy your company and meal without needing or waiting for anything."

"Food is AWESOME, hands down!!!!... Restaurant gets too crowded and gets uncomfortable with LOTS of people around you talking. Could be better if they relocate to a bigger place and have ample space between customer's tables."

"Tried something new at the server's suggestion: PANANG CURRY CHICKEN. Was fantastic and have been craving it ever since. Celebrated my son's 18th birthday and our family of 4 enjoyed all the meals and service. Typically my wife and I get the Kung Pao tofu and seasonal greens so I'm glad I took the server's suggestion. Also what I like about this place is that it has been there for at least 14 years, so it's nice to come back to something with lots of good memories. Keep up the good work!"

"Enjoyed our lunch in the smaller red room. Our server was appropriately attentive and the food was just right. We enjoy ordering primarily from the appetizer section for varied tastes and smaller portion size. Their potstickers are comfort food for us."

"Big Bowl is one of our family favorite restaurants but Tuesday's experience was very average. The bar is under construction so only wine/beer was available. Our table (although noted that it was a birthday celebration) was very packed in and every time someone from other tables moves we felt it. Food was the usual good level and service was OK. Overall this was not one of our favorite experiences."

"Big Bowl is always good and well priced. I especially appreciate their attention to environmentally friendly "take-out" packaging. No plastics or styrofoam. Love that!I always order the Pad Thai noodles. Chicken or tofu is may favorite.Lettuce wraps were great too! My friend thought they were too spicy but I loved them. My friend is a flight attendant and was coming in to see me on a lay over. I planned the dinner spot and had a list of about 8good choices but decided on Big Bowl because its always good, in a good location in the Galleria and not expensive. It was a perfect choice!"

"I love the food at Big Bowl. This particular server seemed a bit flustered - messed up several times, but nothing that was a big deal. Se also comped my appetizer when it came late. Highly recommend that you have a reservation during lunch or dinner times."

"We went there for my finance's birthday dinner. We made our reservation online and when we arrived, we only had to wait a short time for a booth. (We had specifically requested a booth, otherwise we would have been seated immediately.) Our server was prompt and polite. The food and drinks were delicious, and the prices were competitive with those of other dine-in restaurants that serve East Asian food. I would dine there again. :)"

"It was great to have a reservation this time. We've wanted to eat here other times but the wait was always too long. This time we walked right in and were seated. The food came really fast too. Our server really spent time with us when we were trying to decide between a few drink options. We will certainly be back again."

"LOVE the food here - one of our favorite places to go, but it's always SO NOISY - if they could put something on the ceilng to absorb sound, that would be better. You have to talk so loud to the people at your table - so for this reason we said not romantic."

"You would think that for Valentines Day, the service and food would have been nothing short of perfect - wrong. The problems started happening when the chicken to my girlfriend's dinner was missing. It was the chef's instead of the waiter that brought our food, so they left as soon as they dropped our food off. To add on top of that, we had no silverware. It took us about 5 min before we could even find a waiter to assist us - as they all were in a corner of the restaurant mingling with each other.. It was Valentines day, but not very busy at all so I supposed they were more staffed than needed to be. It was a host and he got our silverware but rudely told us to find our waiter ourselves. Didnt get the chicken until another 10 min, and then"

"Our soup was very delayed, however when the Hot and Sour soup arrived it made the meal. The Green Curry was really too spicy to eat as an entree, it would have been fine if was used as a compliment with another dish, but as a main course it was over done in the heat category. My daughter ordered her Pad Thai with no peanuts but when it arrived they were mixed in so she had to pick around them. Because the food took so arrive we didn't send the food back. The manager did note the issues and did make up for all the mistakes to our meal by through a reduction on the check. Because of the fabulous hot and sour soup, and the managers thoughtfulness I would go back."

"The food and service were great! The sitting arrangements were cozy and comfortable. The only problem we encountered was the noise level. It was difficult to carry on a conversation at times. I would definitely recommend the Big Bowl in Edina."

"Don't bother making reservations here - they will just make you wait like everyone else. After arriving on time, we were told it would be less than 10 minutes for our 6:45 table ad ties pager. I returned to the host stand at 7:05 and asked how much longer. The hostess then told us we could sit down in a booth that had been empty the entire time she had made me and my family stand in the hall and wait. There was no apology, no manager who came to check on us, just "Oh, I guess you can it down." The food was fine as chain restaurant food goes, but their lack of customer service ruined it for us."

"Big Bowl recently removed it's plum sauce, and substituted a sweet and sour that is watery and acidic, we assume to save money. We loved the old plum sauce, and won't be coming back until it's back on the menu. We also had an issue with our pork--they served us meat that was mostly fat--and the manager did replace it immediately. The server was very nice as well. Everything else was fine."
