"Waiter was horrible. One person did not eat her entree and the waiter did not even ask if he could bring her something else. We had to flag down another worker to get our check and ask for more bread/water. Food was average for the other 5 guest."

"We ate with a group of six friends so we all got something different. One of our group was vegetarian so he asked for something special. Everyone was very very pleased with their meals. One person got the Hanger Steak and said the steak was great but the reduction sauce was over cooked. He enthusiastically said it would not prevent him from returning. The duck was wonderful and the halibut was truly the best prepared the person who ordered it had ever eaten. The vegetarian was very happy. We come to NOLA several times a year and have eaten at all the best restaurants. Now we have a new favorite."

"We ate on the shaded patio in back of this charming little restaurant. (In warmer weather, this might not have been as pleasant as it was for us on the cool day we visited.) The warm beet and goat cheese appetizer is one of the best things I've ever eaten. We both had the Italian Wedding Soup which was full of flavor and just right for an afternoon stop on our sightseeing adventure. The service was knowledgeable and attentive, and the patio was a very relaxing place to enjoy the wonderful food. I'll come back here, and certainly recommend it to anyone on a shopping tour of Magazine St."

"I'd been wanting to try Lilette for quite awhile, and I managed to snag a reservation for lunch recently. The beet salad was perfectly delicious. Everyone enjoyed their entrees, and I'd recommend the salad with sunchokes and pesto for sure! Cocktails were a standout as was the bread pudding. Happy meal had by all!"

"We were seated in a small room in the back, party of 4, which allowed for comfortable conversation. It was a nice private area. The hostess changed our reservation at the last second from party of 2 to party of 4 with minimal groveling needed on my part. Food was great. Would definitely go there again."

Had the BLT with pork belly which was delicious but a little hard to eat on the dark sourdough bread that tended to fall apart. Beet salad slices were grilled which gave a nice flavor. Hubby had the black drum fish special which was okay A nice spot for lunch on Magazine Street."

"Food outstanding. Front desk service very bad. Arrive on time and told to wait for our table when a table is open. Asked why we could not have the table and told that the table was being held for a friend of the chef. The party arrived half an hour after we finally say down to dinner. Asked to call a taxi and when the taxi never arrived and we asked front desk to call again they told us to go outside and hail a taxi."

"Got off to a bad start.We were seated at a table,where my seat was a stationary booth,& the person across from me was in a chair.The table was a good foot away,so to dine,I would either have to sit on the edge of my seat,or pull the table closer.Which I did. Apparently,it was our servers pet peeve,& she rushed over(not even said hello)& said,"Now it's all uneven!"I apologized,said it's ok,I'll just sit on the edge of my seat,to which she told me to get it situated where I wanted to,& she'd make sure the table wasn't wobbly(tile floor).This wouldn't have been so offensive if her tone hadn't been so condescending,outright hostile,& rude. My husband was even taken aback. Tone changed dramatically when menus were given,but it was too late."

"This is a great restaurant; wonderful neighborhood place to enjoy lunch or dinner. Only reason it doesn't hit a perfect score is my last visit saw some service needs. Food is wonderful and the place energetic. If you have seating along any wall you still can maintain a private conversation. Any of the tables down the middle of the room and you are dining with strangers. The service was really lacking, although the food not on my last visit. When you have to flag servers down to re-fill water glasses or ask for bread, you know this is not what Lilette was founded on. It was impossible making eye contact, they seemed to be all about talking and visiting amoung themselves. It was a mid-week night so while busy, it was not packed."

"Lilette is amazing! We loved everything we had and I wished I could’ve eaten there again while visiting NOLA. We ordered the lunch specials and loved everyone bite, the lamb meatballs, heirloom tomato salad, and pork scaloppini salad were amazing. The best part of the meal might have been the dessert although everything was good. The dessert we had was a trio of house-made ice creams which included run, caramel, and chocolate chip ice cream with chocolate chip cookies. We also had strawberry lemonade sorbet which was the BEST sorbet I have ever had. Do not leave lilette without dessert!"

"What a great experience! Great food, great drinks, great dessert! The meal was well rounded with several options and varying levels of adventure. The serving sizes were appropriate for you to enjoy an entire meal and include dessert. Often desserts at restaurants are an afterthought and can diminish the overall experience of a restaurant, but Lillete delivered!
Show up early and enjoy a drink next door at Bouligny Tavern for an extra special night out."

"Quiet, little restaurant. Chose to eat in courtyard. Was served by five charming people throughout my meal. Specials for each step that were delicious. Lovely, secluded, natural setting with a nice selection of soft music playing in the background. Bottom line is that the food was delicious and gave me that buzz you get after a great meal."

"As always we went for the kobe burger and the gnocci. It was crazy busy but we were taken care of. This ia the secind time the bread service skipped us which is a shame because the bread is fantastic. While some tables got 2 or 3 servings we got noneuntil we repeatedly requested bread from the waiter. My soup appetizer and the bottle of winevwould have been complimented nicelt"

"Enjoyed a special meal at Lillette recently with my husband. Atmosphere lively, tables close together. Wine list good, a bit pricey. Food above average to excellent, portions are a bit small but that is not a problem in my opinion. A bit expensive but I would definitely go back for another special occasion."
