"I wanted to take my friend out for dinner to celebrate her birthday. Dante was a wonderful place on a Monday nite. Neapolitan-style Pizza and a bottle of wine at a great price & chicken marsala. Started with Brussels sprouts as an appetizer. Yes, they ARE that good. Our birthday treat was Italian pudding....Ok, I wanted to lick the bowl, but didn't want to embarrass my friend. Took leftover marsala home for dinner Tuesday. Might have been even better nuked! My friend had the fungi pizza. She raved about it, too."

"The most under rated and the best for authentic italian food. It takes a bit of getting used to if your looking for lots of cheese and fillings on your pizza or a huge bowl of pasta you can take home and eat for days, but their made in house pasta is the best and their servers know wine and food and the menu."

"Food was good but not great. Risotto was undercooked but the vegetables were fresh and tasty. Pizza was ok. Service was very fast but we were not looking for a fast food experience. We're in and out in less than an hour."

"I'm not a big salmon (having lived in England - I got a bit over-salmoned) but on our servers suggestion I tried the Wild King Salmon special. I was told it had been flown in from Seattle that morning and it was beyond incredible! Great portion, crispy skin - absolutely the best fish I have tasted. It was served with new wood-roasted artichokes and arugula. Topped with a fantastic Terresole Brunello – a wonderful evening at one of Omaha’s best restaurants!"

"Quality of ingredients & taste of food was excellent. Both of us in my party had pizza. Half of the outer crust on my pizza was fabulous as usual, but the other half was so burnt and hard as a rock which was extremely dissapointing. We dine @ Dante's at least once a week, if not more and this was the first time I was not 100% satisfied with the whole experience. Service is usually always outstanding as well, but the person who waited on us this time seemed to be new. She did okay, but certainly not to the level that we have become accustom to over the last several years since we've been regular customers."

"It's always a pleasant meal at Dante's! We have always had great food, good service, and an enjoyable evening. Sometimes the pizzas come before we are done enjoying our appetizers, which makes for an awkwardly crowded table, but lets be honest, im not going to complain about having too much food on my table at any given time! :)"

"The food was better than ever, which I didn't think was possible. Had the chicken and gnocchi dish and I wanted to lick the bowl. My husband had the lamb chops and I've never seen him so silent as he was so focused on eating! I could eat here everyday. So delicious."

"Went to Pitch the other night............the pizza wasn't even close to Dante"s. The crust was like cardboard and the noise level made it impossible to talk. Dante's has lots of energy but the way it is set up, the noise is dispersed. And the menu doesn't compare. Dante's has the most unique and varied Italian sides and entres in the city."

"Dante Pizzeria Napoletana deserves its frequent place on Urbanspoon's top 10. Pasta is made in house, very fresh, never dried out and stored. The pasta concoctions are all to order, like ragu, which is never made ahead. They take a bit of time, the time required to do it right. So, enjoy a glass of Barbarella while you wait. In a bit of a hurry? The pizzas are the choice. Dough is made daily, hand thrown and the ingredients: San Marzano tomatoes from the region around Naples, authentic Italian meats, cheeses and very well matched veggies. The time is quick, as the wood fired oven, unlike the electric ones at pizzerias "wannabes", is red hot. Average of 90 seconds seems to bake them just right.
Deserts wow!"

"I had the whole Roasted Branzino – (one of the lightest best tasting fish dishes I have had in a long time), while my wife had the Ricotta Tortellini – which she loved. Our waiter told us all pasta is now entirely house-made by hand – and you can certainly tell. Also tried the new ‘wine on tap’. Allowed me to taste an expensive vintage – but by the glass – great idea. Loved the evening and highly recommend it for diners looking for a true culinary dining experience at a real value."

"We didn't receive one of the two starters we had ordered, but turns out we had plenty of food for 4 adults- we shared a pizza, a pasta & the special entree...plus two desserts! It was all just great! We dined on a Sunday evening so the half-price wine allowed us to "order up"- very nice!"

"Excellent pizza, salad, appetizers. We had a terrific meal until the very end...our waitress accidentally spilled me girlfriend's cappuccino on the table (and partially on her)... although she apologized and brought a replacement, a proper restaurant wouldn't have charged us for the coffee and/or offered to pick up a cleaning bill/offered a dessert item/something. This was utterly disappointing, and we let the waitress know via a note on the bill along with a reduced tip. Additionally, her knowledge of the wine list left much to be deisred. Tables are very close to each other, making it hard for servers to work."

"Friday nights are "pizza night" for us and some of our friends. We chose Dante based on the reviews on OpenTable and other reliable sites. We also had eaten there a couple of years ago and enjoyed it on a week night. Dante was very busy and everyone appeared to be enjoying themselves and the food. We were greeted immediately and were seated based on our reservation on time. Our server was very good and we went with her recommendations for wine and types of pizza. Everything on the menu was authentic and the wine was Italian. We had a Margherita pizza, meat pizza (with various cheeses, Italian Sausage and an Italian salami similar to prosciutto), and a Funghi Pizza (Mushroom and various cheeses). All were outstanding! Will go again!"

"It is so rare to have authentic italian food so close to home and such a varied menu that is always changing and evolving. "We smelled burnt pizza and it ended up being ours. One side of the crust was completely burnt. It had great flavor, but 3 of the pieces we couldn't eat! The brussel sprouts were really good and the salad was just ok. Service was good...but felt a little rushed."

"I had a great dinner with friends on a busy Saturday night. We tried the braised rabbit for a starter which was AMAZING. Had the mussels for my main course and they were great too; they are served in a large dish with broth and a huge piece of bread for dipping. My friends loved their meals too (two different tortellini dishes, a pizza, and risotto). Great service, great food, highly recommended."

"The Brussels Sprouts were the best I've ever had. They were recommended by our server and she was spot-on. We cleaned the bowl. The special was cavatelli with boar was hearty and perfect comfort food for a cold, dreary day. The CANTINA DI MONTALCINO chianti was the perfect accompaniment for the hearty boar."

"Excellent restaurant that is quickly becoming a favorite. Chef Nick has a great approach to food and offers up interesting and very tasty combinations that pique my interest. Not normally the most adventurous of diners, I've tried quite a few of the items on the menu and always been extremely pleased.
Dante's focus on freshest ingredients, from locally grown produce to fresh made mozarella and pasta are all brought together to deliver amazing taste and foods that I really enjoy."

"I've lost track of how many times we've eaten at Dante. Everytime it's been fantastic. This is the first time I need to say something a little negative, but hopefully only as a training moment. Our waitress was very friendly and seemed to enjoy what she was doing. However, before we were even finished with our meal she came over with the dessert menu and bill for the meal. While tellng us it was not meant to rush us, it made us feel as if she was trying to get the table turned over quickly. That was the first time that has happened to us at Dante, and hopefully the last. Maybe a little extra training would help. By the way, we love the fact that none of your waitstaff introduces themselves with their first names. We'll be back."
