Separating itself from other traditional steakhouses with its innovative dishes and updates on the classics, the new Delmonico's Kitchen will surely entice guests to come back for more.
"The food was ok, very pricey. The chairs were not stable...once diner fell of his chair during a meal and when I got up, the chair immediately fell to the floor. They need to do something about that.
The place has a long time reputation and while my friends thought it was okay, I was not impressed. Would not return."

"Definately a lovely, relaxing dinner spot. Mostly steak menu, so only 1-2 entrees if you don't like steak. Good service, sit in the back, front bar is fun and loud"

"Having been to Delmonico's Downtown, I was disappointed with Delmonico's Kitchen. The food was just ok. This was the first (and hopefully last) time I will have kelp lettuce as part of a ceasar salad. Kelp may be better for you, but you don't go to an expensive steakhouse for the healthful benefits. The steaks were mediocre quality for a good steakhouse, and they were both undercooked. The staff was attentive and friendly, and they did try to address the issues we had with the steaks. It also had the feel of a restaurant that just opened."

"The waiters kept coming over every two minutes to check on "how we were doing", interrupting all oonversation. When we first arrived, our waiter was pushing the most expensive wine in the house at $23/glass and when I tried to ask about other alternatives, he was not very helpful and somewhat condescending. In the end, I ordered a beer. The food was OK but definitely overpriced for a restaurant that looked little more than a glorified diner. We definitely won't be going back."

"Delmonico's was a an enjoyable place, but the steak did not quite meet the mark in terms of preparation and some of the side dishes were luke warm. Despite these shortcomings, the meal was still flavorful. The service was impeccable! I was warmly received and carefully tended too."

"Great for a business lunch. My client was in a hurry and we were in and out of there in 40 minutes. Nice range of food choices. Didn't have any wine but the list looked extensive. Will definitely return."

"We were going to a theatre in the neighborhood and needed something close. Knowing the reputation of Delmonico's we decided to try this restaurant. We were really impressed and liked the food a great deal. If it was in our neighborhood we would go to it regularly."

"The Delmonico steak, while expensive, is excellent. Decor and menu is totally different from when this place was Murano's. the folks here understand time pressures with events at MSG, so it is very convenient from that standpoint. Denis makes the place work, and is just excellent."

"Fun to be at this energetic, after work bar and restaurant scene. We were a bit rushed having to wait for our reserved table and trying to get to an off Broadway show. Also, should have ordered our steak a bit more rare/pink....but all was good."

"Great option in the area where there are few goog places. Gets a bit loud due to configuration, but nice upscale lunch choice with creative specials and old stand bys too. Kale caesar is great!"

"Despite the fact that the lunch menu was only available until 3:00 PM, the management and staff were able to accommodate the lunch menu past the deadline. Very much appreciated since it allowed for a much leisurely dining experience.
Ordered both the shrimp and lobster cocktails for appetizers. Excellent lunch portion, and flavorful. Ordered the wedge salad w/chicken for my meal, while my companion ordered the sea scallops with winter squash blended risotto. Very fragrant and eye-pleasing, besides being delicious."

"Service and food was delicious. A-plus. The only negative was the level of noise. It was very noisy to the point it was difficult to talk amongst our table of three without raising our voices."

"This is, by far, my favorite New York restaurant. Nice atmosphere, excellent food and outstanding service--what else could there be? The "kitchen salad" is fresh and different. The nightly specials are to be recommended. The deserts are also very good. The portions are large--enjoy!"

"A group of coworkers went here for dinner during Restaurant Week and I am happy we did. The food was so good and the service was very attentive! For being a new place in kind of a random location, I was surprised at how packed this place was on a Wednesday night. It was full and had a great ambiance, but it wasn't too loud. It's a little tight packed if your sitting at a table in the middle. You may get bumped a few times, but isn't that par for the course in NYC restaurants? All in all, this place was great and I can't wait to go back."

"Went for restaurant week with a group of girlfriends. The restaurant was pretty loud and we had trouble hearing each other. The food was okay. My scallop risotto tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for awhile. The braised short rib was not tender enough. I had to use a knife to actually cut through it (normally it just falls breaks apart with a fork). Dessert was fine. I won't be back."

"We went here for my mother's birthday on February 9th. It was a disaster. We ordered 4 starters which were pretty good (3 carpaccio and 1 tuna tartar). I ordered a Pinot Noir that was served so cold it actually hurt my teeth. Now we get to the main course.... My husband ordered Salmon, which came out so fishy he was afraid to finish it. I had the Delmonaco's signature ribeye medium rare... It came out medium but I didn't complain. My mother ordered the filet medium.. Which came out so well done it was not edible. At all. They had to bring a new one out. Finally my brother got a T bone steak rare... It came out medium. Not a single entree was correct. The sides were horrible as well. The waiter kept calling my mom gorgeous. It was gross."

"I tried Delmonico's Kitchen during restaurant week and was not disappointed. My dishes were quite tasty, staple dishes. I had risotto with scallop for appetizer, braised short ribs with spinach & mashed potatoes for main course and the beignets for dessert. I also had the special restaurant week drink which was very, very good and a nice touch. I would go back. The service is impeccable and professional."

"I liked my dessert more that any of the other course, but the appetizer and entree were ok. The Beignets were TO DIE FOR!! If I could go back, I would order them for my appetizer, entree, and dessert! The location was nice and centrally located. The staff was friendly and did a great job. My water glass only stayed empty for 1 second at a time the whole time I was there."

"The two dining rooms of the restaurant that are open for lunch, have tile walls, hard floors and non-acoustical ceilings. The head-splitting noise level is so loud you can't hear the person across the table from you. I asked for a quiet table and was shown to the back room, but the noise level was not much better. The food was good. My fish was too well done and dry. Not what I'd think Delmonico's standards are."

"The food, atmosphere and even the location were all great. I was here during the restaurant week, and it had a variety of choices for appetizers, entrees and desserts. Both my friend and I enjoyed the food and were very impressed with the restaurant. We both tried mushroom soup for appetizers and it was okay - not great, not bad. I tried fillet mignon which was great - the portion was perfect and the side dish was good as well. My friend tried Salmon and she loved it. Chocolate hazelnut mousse and new york cheese cake were awesome. Waiting time was a bit longer than I expected (I didn't have to wait to be seated since I had a reservation but waiting time for the dishes were a bit long)."

"Wonderful dining experience. I have been to Delmonico's before, but never this midtown location. My husband and I decided to go for restaurant week and from the service to the food to the wine to the ambience - everything was really perfect. Even outside of restaurant week, Delmonico's a great value. It is moderately priced and the food is really excellent. Lately, I have been feeling like top NYC restaurants spend more time becoming the next "hot spot" than on the food. Here, the food really is the draw."

"The food was amazing. We had a reservation, but still had to wait almost 20 minutes at the bar for a table. The staff was very nice and attentive, but water and drink refills took quite a while. We also received our food before our silverware during 2 out of 3 courses. In their defense, it was packed when we went there. The food was really great, which made the chaos pretty much worth it."

"Went for Restaurant Week 2013 and the food was impeccable. I had the short-ribs and I usually hate ribs, but these were some of the most fantastic I've ever had. The service was great, did not receive as much attention at some points like when I needed a drink refill, but it was busy. So overall great experience, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. If you order cocktails, they are pretty strong (at least when I went)!"

"Top 5 steaks I've ever eaten. Quiet, but we went on Super Bowl Sunday. I like quiet because I went with my husband and 6 friends, and we wanted to be able to talk/converse, and we did. Easily. Steak house decor: very nice. Wait service was very good, we really liked our waiter who gave honest opinions, and did not disappoint. Ate the leftover steak 2 days later at work for lunch: the thing was still delicious. Would most definitely go back."

"Waiter was very cordial and friendly. Busboys, not so much. One guy ran into my arm, spilling food everywhere! If any would have gotten on me I would have been outraged, but thankfully just on the floor. Ridiculous honestly. Went during Restaurant Week 2012 and it was very good. The food was scrumptious as to expect from Delmonico's."
