Of all of our "native" food, barbecue is uniquely, authentically and gloriously All-American. Old Glory, located on historic M Street in Georgetown, captures the food, flavor and feel of the great barbecue restaurants of the United States, and offers representations of each styles of barbecue served in different parts of the country. "It looks like a rib joint, sounds like a rib joint and smells like one...most important, of course, the kitchen smokes fine barbecue," says the Washington Post.
The huge barbecue pit, the open kitchen, and the 1901 Silver Dollar Four Winds hand-crafted bar, create lively, exciting atmosphere that is downright down-home.
"While the ribs were fall-of-the-bone, they were also dry and not as meaty as we would have liked. The sides were the skimpiest of any rib joint I've ever been to, which was too bad because the mac and cheese and their new smokey baked beans were the best part of the meal. Usually rib joints love to pile on the sides. Not here. I would give this place 2 and a half to 3 stars out of five. Not the best, but not the worst."

"For some odd reason out Opentable reservation was not found in their reservation system which Made us wait an additional 40-45 minutes to get seated. The host was not very accomodating overall Considering i had the email with the confirmation of our reservation. Once we were seated, the service and food were Very good. I would recommend this restaurant as a good place for BBQ."

"We were looking forward to eating here considering the reviews were promising. Unfortunately all of our meals were underwhelming to say the least. The ribs were overlooked, the pulled pork was dry as was the smoked Gouda mac and cheese. Our server only had a few tables but we needed to ask repeatedly for drinks."

"Old Glory is located in the center of Georgetown and very lively. Don't expect to have a quiet dinner. The restaurant was full of energy and people having a good time. The food and service was very good and the staff were helpful to accommodate seating for our 2 year-old grandson. You couldn't beat the ambiance unless you were expecting something totally different."

"Overall my wife and I had no issues at Old Glory. Food and Service were good, but just didn't seem like a real BBQ place... Much like the rest of Georgetown (in describing the people, restaurants, and bars,) Old Glory was a little too "neat"; I've never been to a pretentious BBQ place before. Sounds odd right?"
