"Four of us enjoyed the cozy draped off side room...like dining in your own home with service....and our Waiter, Rupert, was very enjoyable and friendly...putting us very much at ease in the atmosphere of first class dining but casual and comfortable. The Host was a perfect gentleman, relaxed and friendly. Rupert's service was perfect and well-timed. As for the food, the Jumbo Lobster Tail was delicious and well worth waiting for....would have liked a few more of the Yukon potatoes though....the Ces Salad was delicious and just the right size..It was a very enjoyable relaxing evening with family."

"Exquisite setting and warm ambiance. Macadamian and white chocolate bread? Mmmmm, mmm good! Shrimp and Scallop Dijon is a must-have. Our entrees...Beef Wellington and Filet Oscar were exceptional epicurean delights! Sweet tooth? You cannot go wrong with the creme brulee! Our experience definitely merits more visits!"

"Another great meal at the Carmel room. The service is excellent not wanting for anything. Drinks are kept filled and the food was prepared exactly as we asked. We tried their special and it was out of this world. Salad or soup, mailn course and desert all for one set price. Keep up the great work Carmel Room."

The quality of my steak, a rib-eye, was good but I expected just a bit better from an upscale steakhouse like this. Other than that, I have nothing negative to say about the Carmel Room."

"Nice atmosphere, beautiful room and a fantstic waitstaff, but the food was about as run-of-the mill as you can get; from very salty steaks, to croutons right out of a bag and escargot that were as pedestrian as could be. I mean nothing here was much above what you'd expect from a second tier steak house restaurant chain. And they weren't exactly giving the stuff away either. Then again, this was a restaurant in a second tier, off-strip casino, so I guess we set our expectations too high."

"The service was wonderful and the food excellent. We'll definitely go back, and we've already recommended it to several friends.
It's unfortunate that you have to walk through a casino reeking of cigarette smoke to reach The Carmel Room, and you can smell the smoke in the front area of the restaurant every time someone comes in through the door from the casino. That's really the only drawback. If they'd install an air curtain to keep the smoke smell out of this lovely restaurant it would help a lot."

"We had Valentine's Day Dinner at this restaurant; they offered a three course prix fixe menu, which we both ordered. We opted to have the shrimp cocktail, which consisted of huge shrimp which were the size of small lobsters, it was fabulous. The surf and turf was amazing, the lobster was cooked to perfection and the beef tenderloin was moist and you could cut it with the butter knife. The dessert was the final note to a perfect evening! The service was impeccable, the server did a great job of pacing the meal and we did not feel rushed. The décor of the restaurant was cozy, warm and yet elegant. We will definitely return to this wonderful restaurant."
