"Fabio Piccolo Fiore is an elegant restaurant where you can get terrific specials created by the chef and accurately described by the wait staff, who are one of the main treasures of the restaurant. At my last visit, some guests had special dietary restrictions and the waiter and chef worked out a way for us all to have a great lunch and respect our diets. Nothing was too much trouble and the amazing thing was that all the main course arrived together even though some people came late and ordered late. We were able to get our business done in the quiet atmosphere and everyone commented on the high quality of the food - from the chicken cordon bleu special to the salmon, to the great orecchiette. Next meeting: FPF!!"

"The restaurant is very appealing in it's design but the food is the star ! Fabio has a way with food and it's presentation like no other....His recipes are so different from most Italian restaurants.....If he ever leaves this place all his customers will follow him to the ends of the earth for one of his meals......He's just that good and people who love this restaurant not only come for his dishes but also to see him.......may he cook forever!!!!!"

"Well spaced tables, traditional menu and attentive service made this a good spot for a business lunch recently. It's a quiet room, so conversation is relaxed and easy - no need to raise your voice to be heard over the quiet hum of the room. the meal - a simple Caesar salad to start, striped bass for me and a chicken dish for my guest - was good, solid, and well prepared. Nice location convenient to the United Nations and Grand Central."

"Service and food were excellent!! The service really stood out and the restaurant was packed. I have been living in this neighborhood for years and always passed this restaurant. Definitely a date or place for large groups. Warm ambiance. When me and my family finally decided to try it we were happily surprised."

"A nice spot if you're lucky enough to be seated in the main dining room. Unfortunately, we were seated in a secondary room that left a lot to be desired. The ambiance and service were more befitting a neighborhood Friendly's than a Zagat rated New York City establishment. Surprisingly bad."

"Excellent food, great portions and wonderful service. It's tucked away in the heart of U.N. area. I wasn't sure it would be any good since the midtown east area isn't well known for food. But I was pleasantly surprised and I was glad I was wrong!"

"Food was terrible. Seafood Linguine/Lobster Rissoto both fishes the seafood was over cooked. We did not eat the seafood in the meal. Portions were small. Penne alla vodka sauce tasted like Mac n cheese. Salads were underdressed had no flavor. I would not come here again"

"We took our friend for a special celebration and thoroughly enjoyed our eating experience. The food is excellent and our waiter was so accommodating. Our first time eating at Fabio Piccolo Fiore was Christmas Day and even then we knew we would be back. Our return is guaranteed."

"This restaurant has solid food and good service. It is a good bet for a weeknight dinner in midtown. Decor is a little worn, so I wouldnt take a date here."

"The restaurant decor is lovely and the amuse bouche (small tomato bruschetta) was delicious but when I ordered the wine ( Pinot Grigio) the waiter pointed to the two selections on the wine list and said "we have this one and that one". Really? The hot entrees were served on cold plates and everyone at the table salted their food after tasting it. However, the molton chocolate cake was amazing."

"I have to say the food and all the wait staff EXCLUDING the waiter were very good or excellent. The waiter may have been new but when he went to take my husband's dinner order and my sister interrupted him to ask something about the special which was better in his opinion which he told her he couldn't say, he forgot to take the rest of my husband's dinner order. He didn't even acknowledge that he forgot to.I told my husband that he was interrupted. But when dessert came around, my husband ordered coffee and it never came but it was placed on the bill which was corrected. He apologized and said he will bring coffee but at that point we were signing the bill and getting ready to leave, my husband told him to forget it."

"Totally unexpected delight. Amazing food, amazing service, probably some of the best I've ever had. My husband and I go out to eat 4+ times a wk and we were blown away by the attentiveness of the staff. My friend and I wanted bellini's, they didn't have peach purée so the manager went out and got peaches and made the purée. Seriously I never would have even asked that of them. The food was fantastic and so fresh, like they just came from market. They truly aim to please. What a little gem. And a sweet piano player who hardly took a break the entire time we were there. Delightful!"
