"Overall I must say I was a little disappointed. They had recently spent a lot of money to redecorate the place and I really didn't see that much that had changed. Maybe I just was not in the remodeled parts. The server knew the food and was helpful but it seemed like the service was a bit slow (could have been the kitchen as they had two weddings going on in other parts of the facility). The food was excellent (I had the gumbo dish which I really liked and wife had a salad) and the pricing on the food was very reasonable. I did think the wine list while good was over priced. Had a Frei Pinot Noir for $45 which i thought should have been more in the high 30's (say 37/38). Overall Okay experience -Not in a hurry to return."

"My wife and I celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary here because we wanted to try something new. This was the best choice ever! The service was top notch, the food was amazing, and the ambiance was great. There is a hotel connected to the restaurant which we will be staying at the next time we celebrate here."

"We went here on a Sunday morning around 11:30a with a group of four and were seated immediately. Brunch options are pretty standard but all delicious, plentiful, and fresh. Notables included the prime rib, a delicious plump sausage, and my son's favorite, the bread pudding. The all-you-can-drink champagne was actually very tasty. Service was a bit slow but there were several large groups requiring a lot of attention. Despite that, we were never really left wanting nor felt like we were being rushed from the table. Ambiance was relaxed and casual with dress ranging from Sunday Best to jeans and a t-shirt. A wonderful experience and one we will repeat for a special occasion or if guests come in to town."

"Overall as a Sunday Brunch it was more like a good dinner buffet with omlets and Lox and mini bagels. No sandwiches and only Ceaser Salad. Other Breakfast choices were few and poorly cooked."

"If you enjoy watching golf on TV, sit on the patio and you'll have a front row seat. We had dinner during the Friday night happy hour on the patio and had all the entertainment we could handle between to foursomes finishing up in front of us (we didn't catch anyone cheating - but we did see some really bad shots out of the traps). Food was excellent - 5oz filet cooked to perfection with grilled asparasus in crab sauce - and Kobe burger were worth every penny. Carrot cake for dessert was not as rich as I like - but cannoli was good."

"SInce we were last at Alexandra's the place has changed. Not only has the physical space been given an facelift but the menu - and more importantly the food - has been stepped up more than a notch.
It is no longer in the realm of a decent hotel restaurant that offers attractive discounts to lure the hungry off the beaten path. It is now restaurant that is worthy of the trip for the food, even without a discount.
The restaurant space is attractive with beautiful views to the golf course and gardens. The only drawback is the music/noise from upstairs that remind you that you are still in a hotel."

"Alexandra's used to have a very nice, varied menu. Since their construction and updating their menu has now changed. It is very limited, no fish dish of any kind. A couple seafood dishes, but not seasoned to my liking. They did have steaks and hamburgs, but I do not eat beef, so that limited my choice as well. I ended up ordering a Greek salad, and my husband and I split the Baked Brie appetizer, which looked like it was a purchased app, not one made on the premises. I was very disappointed in the new menu."

"Small but very nice. The food is a little different from expected and that's not always good. For instance, the shrimp and grits is unexpectedly spicy. Why? And whatever happened to just good old normal hot bread and butter? Sometimes folks don't want to be surprised with their meal. Otherwise, very good."

"We did the Sunday Brunch & it was very good. They put out a lot of food & the Mimosas & Blood Marys were great. It was a nice time. The view looking over the golf course is beautiful."

"The food was excellent, alathough there might have been a few more choices. It wasn't real conducive to quiet and private conversation between golfers and business people with laptops and spreadsheets. The view was very nice, except that the table was kind of placed behind a column of some sort, so the view was somewhat obstructed. In spite of those minor issues, we had a very nice experience at Alexandras."

"Both the food and service were excellent. Prices seemed quite moderate for a venue like this. It had been many years since we were last at Alexandra's and we'll definitely put it on our list for Saturday evening dining."

"We both had the Seafood Cobb salad. It was spectacular. I really enjoyed the spring pea soup. Dessert was disappointing. We had a chocolate lava cake and the texture of the cake was mealy."

"After an extremely relaxing massage at the Turf Valley Spa, I had a quiet lunch at Alexandra's. I couldn't have asked for a better way to spend the day. The staff was very attentive, the food light but fulfilling and the ambiance was serene. I would absolutely go again and next time I may stay overnight at the hotel."

"We had a young lady named Emma who bused our table who was absolutely wonderful. She was always smiling, willing to help, even when it wasn't her job to do so, and extremely friendly. She definitely made our brunch visit even more delightful. We never expected one of our most memorable things about our visit to be one of the workers, but she definitely made the day brighter."

"The service was wonderful, the seafood appetizer was great as was the chocolate molten lave cake for dessert - but the entrees - filet mignon was not even close to what I expected from a restaurant in this price range."

"I had lobster with crab risotto. The lobster was a touch overdone--I would give it a B, but the risotto was yummy and would have done fine all by itself. My husband had a surf and turf that he enjoyed very much. I would recommend this for a special occasion --it's a little pricey. We also both had appetizers; both were excellent."

"My wife had the lobster, it was horrible. The melted butter did not even taste like butter, more like motor oil. The risotto was like mushy oatmeal with no flavor what-so-ever. I had the lamb chops and they were good, not the best I ever had, but fine. The flavor of the chops and the special sauce worked well together. The size of the 3 chops were appropriate for dinner. The desserts were very good. We had the Chai Creme Brulee and a Canolli. These were comped by the restaurant after our mentioning the bad lobster. The service was attentive and good. The restaurant space is in an atrium of the hotel so it is open and noisy, not enough to interrupt conversation, but you are aware of different things going on around you."

"I hadn't been to Alexandra's in quite a while and was disappointed to see the change in ambiance. I much preferred the elegance of white table cloths and professional looking waiters when I am paying almost $30 for an entree. The hostess sat us next to the only large party in the room making it difficult to talk with the noise. The waiter was friendly and competent. I probably will not return but rather find something fancier for those kinds of prices."

"We go to Alexandras fairly often as it is quiet and we can always get a table right away without a reservation. This night happened to be Valentines Day so we made a reservation for 8:30. We arrived with our friends, there were 4 of us, at 7:30 to sit at the bar and have drinks until our table was ready but our table was already available. Their food is always excellent, especially the seafood, but the special menus, such as the ones for Valentines week, are always outstanding. They can accommodate a large group as well for special occasions and the service is very professional."

"This was our Valentine Dinner & I had crab cakes that were marginal at best. She had steak and thought it was excellent. I am not usually a steak person. I like seafood but that was a huge mistake. Crab cakes were not very good but the desert was excellent as well. I guess the chef is not too good with crab venues."
