"This was my second time at this location and I still love it! The food is great, the service it great. We were celebrating two special events and the staff was very accomodating! I was a little shocked to see children in shorts and flip flops and adults with tennis shoes, jeans and a T-shirt. I think a restaurant of this calibar would be a little more strict on their dress code."

"My fourth visit and the food was outstanding as usual. We started with veal ravioli that was one of the best appetizers I have ever eaten. I had a house salad and my date had a caesar. She said it was the best she's ever had. I had the 16 oz. bone-in filet medium rare and it was one of the best steaks I've ever had. It slid off the bone and was cooked exactly the way I wanted.
Our server was Rebecca and she was on the spot all night long. All of the servers were excellent. It was a great night."

"We had a spectacular evening and viewed the fireworks show from the balcony. The food was incredible (we shared the salmon special and some appetizers) and then we hung out in the bar where we ran into many old friends. Just an awesome night."

"We went for Easter lunch and we had reservations so there was no wait. The selection was good and the amount of time between courses was acceptable. I have to admit that I was not all that impressed with the 12ounce ribeye. I was good, but not outstanding. The sweet potato casserole was excellent as well as the ceaser salad. I was too full to eat my dessert and have not eaten it as of today. Our seat was away from the windows so we did not get to enjoy the view so we will request a window seat if we return."

"Very nice place, but not cheap or a good value, for that matter. Service was friendly and businesslike; however, never got a chance to order a glass of wine once the main course was served. We ordered the Porterhouse steak for two, medium. It was rare and the tenderloin side had a fair amount of grizzle and fat; otherwise, it was very tender and flavorful. The side dishes for two were good, not outstanding. This is a place for expense accounts and special occasions. Overpriced."

"Celebrated our 25th anniversary at Ruth Chris. Love the decor. Service was good. Food was not as great as I expected. Not the best steak I have ever eaten in that price. Disappointed in food quality we were served. Steak was cooked filet medium rare was dry and hard on sides. Husband strip was rare but thin and the plate is hot when served and when he got half way through his steak it was over cooked from the plate being sizzling hot.Atmosphere was nice and romantic. Would I go there again, probably not."

"My biggest complaint was the lack of flavor in almost everything. It was all tasteless. I knew it was a bad omen when the bread was crumbly with no flavor. I usually get a ribeye or fillet but this time opted for a New York Strip. I ordered medium rare but the steak was definitely what I would call medium. The texture was not what I would expect given the price point and had no taste whatsoever. Even the asparagus was tasteless. This one moves to the bottom of my list of steak houses in Louisville."
