We at Route 7 Grill are proud to be providing fresh, local food to our Berkshire neighbors and friends. All of our meats are naturally raised from local farms or small family farms. We hope that our close relationship with these farmers have some positive effect in preserving local farming traditions. Everything we serve, including stocks, soups, dressings & desserts are made here from scratch. The barbecue menu features foods smoked in-house over local hickory. Our philosophy is inspired by Berkshire Grown, as well as the Slow Food movement. The restaurant, nestled in the Housatonic river valley of the Southern Berkshires offers a full service dining room and full bar with an outdoor patio as well as beautiful outdoor facilities for Pig Roasts & Special Parties. We are family friendly with an open dining room & we offer a great kids menu. We’re located on historic Route 7 south of Great Barrington in the shadow of June Mountain with a big back yard for play & private parties!

"This place continues to be my favorite. ALWAYS hitting it out of the park. Midweek, had made a res thru Open Table. We were running EARLY (who the heck ever runs early?) We called, no problem coming in early. I feared the place would be empty, the fire wouldn't be lit. I feared for nothing. ROARING fire, moderately occupied.
The staff doesn't get any friendlier, rolling with the punches of my 11 year old's need to be treated like an adult. (BEST kids menu btw, more like small portion adult food)
Fresh margarita. Steak like no other - makes you want to stop eating meat from any other source. Side dishes that look like they came out of a magazine and taste the way you dream they should taste. I dream about going back all year long."

"VERY loud; 4 families w/ kids yelling & running around - so loud we didn't realize music was playing til they left! Poor waitress; 2 of us ordered tea; came w/ 1 tiny pot of hot water that only filled one cup, and 1/4 or other cup; asked for more hot water, just brought another single pot. Kept that up for entire dinner. No silverware/napkins when set down. when appetizer came, asked for napkins, she didn't see that we had nothing set - only brought napkins. So we had to ask for silverware; only brought 2 sets, had to wait for 2 more to be washed?? After 30 more min first meal came for just 1 person... 30 min LATER, the other 3 meals came out. Babyback ribs tough and dry, hard to get off bone. Chicken dry. Pulled pork tasteless."

"We waited 1 3/4 hours before food came out of the kitchen. When the food arrived 3 of the 6 of us received cold food. 2 dishes were returned to the kitchen and came back still not hot. We talked to the manager who offered (upon our request) to remove those 2 dishes from the bill, however he was very flat and appeared disinterested in hearing our complaints merely muttering a flat i'm sorry.

"We always go to Route 7 Grill when in Sheffield/Great Barrington or driving through that area. The owner Lester always is lovely and warm with our family. And this year we had a two families together with 3 kids ages, 3 - 8. It got a little messy and the waitresses were helpful and kind."

"Sinfully carnivorous! My wife, who is from Texas, has very high standards for her beef (her parents were in the meat business) and she loved the Route 7 Grill, as did I. The staff could not have been more courteous."
