"We wanted to take our son who just graduated somewhere nice for lunch and heard good things about Shula’s for dinner. I could see where someone would enjoy the dinner experience with the private quite dining room, table-clothed tables and enhanced service, but none of this was true for lunch.
We had one well done steak request and I believe the other 3 steaks were done first and then made to wait. My steak was cooked perfectly medium rare, but tough, cool to the touch and the Oscar topping was cold indicating that the plate was done but made to wait.
All in all it was a good/fair meal and dining experience. I just expected better."

"The selection of food was poor for brunch. Some of the food was bland and tasteless. I expected more from Shula's. I have been here for dinner. I was very happy with the food and service. I guess they should stick to serving dinner."

"Party of two and 20% gratuity is automatically added to the check... See definition of gratuity : a GIFT of money, over and above payment due for service. OK, I worked at a restaurant for many years and support adding a 15%-18% gratuity to party's of 8 or more, because they require a lot extra work and the people stay for hours. The service at Shula's was mediocre, and on par with most mainstream restaurants in town. I usually tip 20% because I worked in the business, and it makes me feel good giving a waiter/waitress a nice tip. When you force a 20% tip on my check, I feel no gratification and place your restaurant on my do not visit again list."

"Granted it was Easter and the service was geared towards buffet style nevertheless, I still expected the level of service during the dinner period. My family and I ordered off the dinner enu and didn't quite feel we got our full value. We normally go to Ruth Chris for Easter but made the trip across the river to your location. You all normally perform above average but it may have just been an off day."

"We haven't been to a restaurant with this level of service in a long time. It is clear that all employees in this establishment share the same level of dedication to customer care. There was the perfect balance of attentiveness and privacy which can be difficult to achieve. The food was delicious, hot, and generous portions. We didn't try dessert but appetizer, sides, and steaks were fantastic. Atmosphere was quiet and dark. Very nice touches such as the steak menu and steak presentation. Truly a find!"

"The food was delicious. One of the best steaks I have ever had. The wait staff however, left something to be desired. The assistant waiter was far more attentive than the main waiter. When you pay for a high quality meal it is expected that the employees are great at their jobs, this was not the case. The restaurant was also very chilly. It really takes away from a good meal when you have to keep your coat on. I am not sure that we will visit again."

"Food was great! Wine was superb! My wife never normally drinks wine and when she ordered a glass I knew we were in for a great dining experience. We split a 24oz Porterhouse which made me want to order the 48oz it was so good. The molten lava chocolate cake and cappuccino was a nice way to finish the meal."
