"The ocean-front location and the century-old building that house this cool spot are reason enough to visit, but the menu is its most outstanding feature. Any cut of beef - from the prime rib served Friday evenings, to the flank steak, to the exceptional rib eye - is done to perfection - beautifully seasoned, cooked to order with no send-backs, and excellent service. Don't forget the seafood - the mussels are great, as is the salmon. And that's just dinner. Sunday brunch offers up one of the best Caesar Salads that you'll every taste."

"We live about 30 minutes away from restaurant. Easy to find. Upon entering, we were not sure if we were on a movie set. Weird furniture made it almost look like a dark funeral parlour. You go up some rickety staircase and are in a dark room filled with dark chandeliers, spider web design lamps and just weird decor. Further toward the water is a spacious, bright, and airy room (as seen on their website) Aditionally, another room with linolium flooring and diner style tables and chairs.
The ambience is not for me. The service, food and view was great. Just looked like the place needs some major revampmg of decor. Prices are reasonable."

"We have made this our yearly wedding anniversary restaurant. With our busy life styles we do not get to enjoy this restaurant as often as we would like to, plus we don't live close by. The food has always been spectacular. Would recommend this restaurant to everyone."

"Waitress was super (we were in the southwest corner on the 9th) The helper was also very attentive . Food was very tasty & cooked to perfection not to mention plentiful (important for me) We were entertaining Our American relatives & it was a delightful dinner.

"We don't live too far from White Rock but don't seem to get there very often. When we do it is always a special time. The town is such a beach town and the WAG is a great place to enjoy that atmosphere and the incredible view. Their menu is a nice selection of very tasty dishes thoughtfully prepared with lovely presentation at a fair price.
The service was great, attentive but not overbearing. Food service was perfectly timed, we (6) all got our meals at the same time!
We love the live music on Friday or Saturday but was lovely and quiet Sunday night, great for visiting.
We will be back again."

"Arrived when almost every table was full. Had our drinks and appies promptly after ordering. We were surprised how quickly our dinner arrived because it was so busy. I was prepared to wait an hour to see our food but, it came shortly after the appy plates were removed. Kudos to the kitchen staff for producing top quality food so quickly. Also appreciate the Gluten Free menu."

"I went with my mom and boyfriend and we really enjoyed our meal. We were sat on the covered patio type area and it was quiet only a few people sitting there. The temperature was a bit cooler than we liked but the great food and view made up for it. I had the rack of lamb and it was delicious. I was not a fan of the mashed potatoes though they were really dry. My boyfriend had the mixed grill and he enjoyed it a lot and my mom had some chicken pasta which she said was okay. Overall the experience was great. Service at times was questionable as we were eventually the only table outside on this deck. Outside that everything was pretty good. Been coming to this restaurant for a while, very consistent with service and food."

"There were three in our party. I ordered the chicken and it was "fair" however the others had curry shrimp and skirt steak, which both said were good. The chicken was stuffed with goat cheese and smothered with a white wine/tarragon sauce. That was good, however the potatoes accompanying it were very dry, and had a totally different spice (I believe oregano or basil) which did not match with the chicken at all! The beans were also very under cooked. So all in all, I was very disappointed with my meal. I would have preferred ordering the special which was prime rib, however the smallest portion was 10 oz. which was way too much for a ladies serving."

"Great place to go with either a small or large group. Good variety on the menu. Portion size good for smaller eater but several people in a group I went with previously left a little hungry. Can't beat the ambiance. Love the flowing ceiling hangings and of course the ocean view.

"This estaurant is great if you get the right table. Try toreserve something by the windows. Some banquettes are too close to each other and you have your ear right beside the person behind you.....does not make for a private conversation. We were a party of 3 and were sat at a banquette for 6 - it would have been better to be at a table for 4 at the side of the restaurant. The food is consistently good. Yummy ahi ahi tuna!"

"WAG has wonderful view of the ocean and great seafood. However, side dishes and other menu items (ie hamburger that tastes like a boxed frozen variety) are lacking in flavor. Although I would get the lunch special fish and chips (cod, halibut or salmon) I could not recommend anything else."

"A Mother's Day dinner. Excellent meal, and totally appreciated by Mom......!
They accommodated our last-minute increase in party size without hesitation.
The Calamari was excellent, perhaps the best we have ever had. The other dinner choices were very good as well. They were generous portions that were served hot and attractively presented, a challenge on a very busy evening.
The only disappointment was that Mom was not presented with a flower!

"The family gathered at WAG for Mothers Day. Our mother is elderly so the stairs were an issue...however we were seated at a bright table away from the noise of the outside patio. The food was top rate and our server a delight. My only negative comments concern the physical restaurant. It really needs an upgrade, the inside entrance is almost shoddy and our tablecloth really needed an ironing."

"I came to the Washington Grill for my son's birthday and the service was wonderful. We had a young man waiting on us and he was very friendly, had a great sense of humor and was very attentive. The menu was great - had a very good selection of different things, and I had the stuffed chicken and asked for the seafood/bernaise topping instead of the tarragon sauce... my meal was to die for! Very nice vegetables, the chicken was delicious not to mention a huge serving!
I love coming here for special occasions or just for a casual dining experience! We had a wonderful view of the ocean, the roof was opened to let the wonderful sunshine in and It will not disappoint!"

"My husband ordered the chicken Fett. and loved his meal. I ordered the halibut and found it so bland that I had to order a lime to put a little flavor on it. My veggies left a oily mess on my plate. We also started with the spring rolls which had a great crunch but then oozed what I can only describe as a mashed up mess. taste was ok. Server was nice and diligent. would return again and try something else only because the atmosphere is so great."

"This is my first time to make a reservation online. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't have to ask for a table by the window. But, there we were seated by the window with a wonderful view of the bay! I was delighted to find in their liquor menu a brand of beer that I haven't had in ages. My favorite beer back in the Philippines was San Miguel and there it was on the menu. Aside from good service and excellent food selections, what drew us to this restaurant was their prime rib early bird special. It was a generous portion and it tasted heavenly. Our server was very knowledgeable and professional."

"The eclectic layout & furnishings make this a fun yet surprisingly elegant environment. The food was excellent & the service at just the right level of attentiveness - considering the large parties also being served at the time it was impressive. The Tomato Boccocini salad was worthy of Sienna in the spring; the seafood equally good. The wine list was much shorter than indicated on their website but functional rather than aimed at pairing with the food."

"HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE! Not only did we drive here from downtown (almost 45minutes)… We had a “special reso” for a special anniversary requested at the window. We were seated at a table for 4. The restaurant was entirely empty as we sat down right after they opened. Within 40 min we had had 4 drinks and 2 appetizers and were just about to order dinner. The waitress recommended the pork (which apparently takes the longest to make). Once our dinner order was placed the waitress came back and said that we would have to move to another seat. Literally wanted us to move. Didn’t give us an option of staying… where flat out telling us to move before our dinner arrived while she looked at her watch saying there was another reservation at our table in"
