"The food was excellent with all diners enjoying their meal which is important when dining with clients. The main server was polite and efficient however a "back up" server was inappropriate by making gestures to us to hand her out plates for clearing. Additional training is obviously required. The dining room was not overly busy so this cannot be used as an excuse."

"I would not call this a culinary delight. We were recommended to go here but I am not sure why. It was not my most disappointing New Orleans dining experience but comes close to that. The food always came out lukewarm - not hot - and the presentation was lacking. Definitely skip the appetizer sampler but the crab claws were quite tasty so order them individually. The bbq'd fried oysters were also quite good but the entrees weren't that exciting. The service was excellent but not enough for me to want to come back."

"This is our 2nd time at Red Fish Grill. Two of us had the signature Red Fish which was outstanding. I've had it at other restaurants but have always been disappointed in comparison. One of our friends had the Seared tuna which was also excellent. My husband had the Gulf fish, which was drum and he was not as enthusiastic and would not order it again. Drum is not as mild as red fish. The noise level was a bit higher than I would prefer but, we were, after all, in New Orleans. We skipped appetizers so that we would have room for dessert. We all shared a chocolate bread pudding and it was amazing. Our waiter got my friend's drink wrong twice so she gave up which is why the service did not rate and excellent."

"Even for New Orleans,with so many choices,the Redfish Grill was outstanding. We had a wonderful server(with a very aprkly diamond ring!) who could not have been nicer. The wine was a well priced Chardonnay. The food was out of this world. Superfresh shrimp,oysters and crab;the bread was not great and it should be but everything else was perfect. Lively but not deafening. We were very pleased with everything"

"Absolute wonderful meal and terrific service. Went to Red Fish to celebrate my husband's birthday. Our waiter Van was very friendly and knowledgeable about them menu. Bbq oyster appetizer was delicious and unique as was their banana's foster icecream sandwich. Tuna was wonderful and cooked just right and our son raved about the gumbo. I would definitely recommend the Red Fish. Prices are very reasonable and atmosphere is fun."

"Order the Hickory Grilled Red Fish! The velvety fish slid down my throat in pure delight. The flavor combinations of the potatoes and lemon butter sauce were ideal. "The food here was mediocre at best, and overpriced. The food came out incredibly fast, which made me believe some, if not all of it, was pre-made and then heated up. "This was the 2nd time in one week that we dined at Red Fish Grill. Every other visit has been great. This time however the food was sub-par and the service was terrible! Had this been the only time we had been, we would not return.

2 days prior, my husband was allowed to eat off the child's menu (he also ordered a salad as an appetizer) without any question. This time he ordered the same and the server said "no." When I told her of our previous visit, she checked with a manager who allowed it, but said he could not have a drink or the dessert that came with it. Really, you want to punish him for ordering a smaller portion?! When I asked for my child to have green beans instead of fries and a drink, they still charged $2 more!"

"BBQ oysters are a must have! The fish, hickory redfish and Mississippi catfish, were very light, flaky and most importantly tasty.

When they ask you if you want ice cream on your double chocolate bread pudding, the correct answer is " yes".

Great atmosphere, suit and tie not required, but I'm sure you wouldn't feel totally out of place in one."

"Red Fish Grill was a great experience all around. First time to New Orleans and with so many places to dine, this was definately an excellent choice. We had a large group, the service was excellent and the timing of the appetizers, entrees and dessert were perfect."

"Although the food was excellent, (three of us had the red fish, one had the crab cakes) I thought a simple salad included with the main course could have improved the the meal. There is nothing included with the meal, anything additional has to be ordered separately, so the price was a tiny bit high I thought, but the fish was excellent."

"We were a party of six and had to wait 15 minutes or so for our table, even though we had a reservation. Bar was lively and a good place to mingle and watch sports during our wait. Food was all around very good, but the raw oysters on the half shell were the biggest, meatiest, most delicious oysters we've ever had. Kids raved about the gumbo and the bottomless cokes (mom and dad not so happy about those)."

"Fantastic dining spot in the French Quarter, very close to Canal Street. Save room for the double dark chocolate bread pudding, as it is the perfect end to a terrific meal. It must be ordered in advance, so plan your meal accordingly. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable wait staff. Overall was an amazing dining experience."
