"We went on Mother's Day and the staff couldn't have been friendlier and made it more special. They gave me a free Mimosa while I waited for our table, and gave each lady a little gift at the end of the delicious meal. The food was gourmet and beautifully presented. My steak was the hit of our table."

"I have been to Nicola's frequently - probably 15 or 20 times. Went this mother's day and had a horrible experience. 2 1/2 hours for lunch. my wife's food was made wrong and sent back. Our food was cold and sent back. It came back barely hotter, but we were tired of waiting. My wife's food came out wrong the second time. The food had little flavor. If this was my first visit, I would never go back. I've recommended Nicola's to many people in the past. Having had many great experiences there, I may return, but I can't recommend it based on this experience. Very disappointed."

"Family brunch for mothers day. We had two young kids, both a bit to handle sometimes. The staff was outstanding, attentive and patient. The only reason they aren't five stars is the calamari was pretty bland, and my risotto a tad undercooked. The scallops were outstanding, the pizza was loved by the kids. Overall, It was a very enjoyable meal and experience. We've been there many times, never disappointed."

"We went to Nicola's to celebrate Mother's Day and overall it was not a very good experience. The food and service was mediocre at best. The deserts on the other hand were fantastic, highly recommend the cheese cake and cannoli. We sat upstairs and it appeared they had one person handling the entire floor. The service was slow and refills had to be requested. I can definitely go to other places for a lot less money and get better food and service."

"Went for lunch on Mother's Day. The kitchen was slammed, so it took a while to get the appetizer. Entrees were timely. Server was friendly and we were not in any hurry. It was a beautiful day for dining on the patio. Food was very good. I would go back, but not on such a busy holiday."

"We ate here to celebrate my husband's birthday. There are a lot of great options in the menu. The food was fantastic. Each item was cooked perfectly and arrive with great timing. There was little waiting between course and yet you were not rushed. The service was prompt, polite and efficient. Our waiter was knowledgable about all of the menu items and wines. This was a great experience and we have had equal experiences here in the past. The food and service are very consistent. This will continue to be a favorite restaurant."

"As always, the food was very well prepared and arrived in a timely fashion. And although our waitress was knowledgeable of and helpful with the menu, the service that usually accompanies the meal was a little lacking. Nothing too serious, but just some of the typical things we have come to expect from Nicola's (e.g. offering ground pepper w/o requesting it multiple times, offering balsamic vinegar with Caprese Salad, bringing an additional plate when splitting a salad, etc.). We'll return again and hopefully experience the standard of service we've come to expect."

"My husband and I went to dinner here over the weekend and I personally liked it. I had the beet salad, and pistachio salmon. The portions were great! He had the caesar salad and the lamb w the fig sauce. . He was not very excited about either of them. He said he'd rather go to brio and for the price of the lamb he could pay $3 more for way better at Bobs. I do agree with the brio statement though. We got the puff pastry cream dessert, don't waste your $ there is no flavor in the pastry. I'd go again but he said for the $ he'd prefer other places but everything in the shops of legacy is over priced!"

"Poorly run resturant. Sat for at least 5 minutes before someone came to table. That was only after one of the cooks pointed us out to the hostess and waitress who were too busy talking to each other. Had to ask them if anyone worked there. "Manager" wandered around but never came near any table and she also was too busy chit chatting with the staff. Only ones that seemed to know they were at work and not out socializing were the kitchen staff and bus boy. Our waiter turned out to be ok, but nothing special. Food was good but the serivce overall makes this somewhere we will never go back to. Even when leaving hostess was standing behind bar talking and nobody said anything to us as we were leaving. Such a dissapointing experience."

"I'd previously been to happy hours at Nicola's, and the food was always great, so I decided to take my wife for a birthday lunch. It did not disappoint. The waiter was attentive, but not intrusive, and described the menu in good detail. We had an appetizer of calamari which was perfectly cooked and delicious. Then we opted for the lunch special, which was an offering of ceaser salad, breaded sole, and a desert. Perfect portions, on a "bento" style platter, and excellent value for money.
This tops my list of favorite places to eat, and with 1,000 dining points on offer it's a no-brainer."

"This is a neighborhood gem. We enjoy dining here after attending the theatre. The bar is bright and cheerful and not crowded at all when we arrive, then we move to the dining room for an enjoyable meal. The wine pairings are perfect. Nicola's is great whether there are 2 or 10 in your party."

"Atmsophere was nice, although we were seated kind of close to the kitchen. Food was okay, no real "wow" on any of the appetizers, entrees or desserts that our table ordered. Service was very inattentive, waited a long time to be asked for our drink order, had to call the waiter over to take our appetizer order, as he wasn't paying much attention to our table. At dessert time he only asked 4 of the 6 at our table if we wanted dessert or coffee and then disappeared. I could understand the bad service if the restaurant was crowded but it wasn't busy at all. If that's typical of the service then I wouldn't recommend it to others."

"The food was good, but a couple dishes could have been better. I had gorgonzola mashed potatoes served with my dish and I couldn't taste any gorgonzola. The waiter kept pushing us to order a more expensive bottle of wine than we wanted, and in fact told us that we wouldn't get anything good for under $70 a bottle. When we asked him if the wines chosen by the restaurant by the glass weren't any good, he had to back track and say they were OK. We ordered what we wanted anyway."

"Was a bit disappointed in this place. I ordered the special they had which was scallops. Two of the three scallops were severely overcooked and tasted like rubber. The third was perfectly cooked. This was not something I would expect from a place like this.
The service was wonderful. To drop $150 for a meal/drinks I was expecting better."
