"The food, from the appetizers to the dessert, was very good all around. The setting is nice and the drive to Bragg Creek is perfect to unwind before dinner. The service was light. We had to ask for additional water. The water was required because the wait for the food was extensive. However, it was all worth it in the end. The chef came out after the meal to check on the party. A nice touch."

"Donna & I enjoyed the Easter Sunday Brunch very much. The food was outstanding with the eggs benedict my favorite. The lamb was very good however I normally have rack of lamb which seems to have a slightly better taste. The scalloped potatoes were a big hit with us along with the salads. Just so much to enjoy.

"We know we can always count on fabulous food, attentive service and a gorgeous location. So, for a recent family dinner the restaurant choice was obvious.
Chef Josef stopped by our table after dinner to ensure that everything had been to our liking. It was! We were very pleased that he has retained the original Bavarian Inn menu (we've been regulars for 18 years) and added a monthly Chef's menu to offer new items.
We inevitably order the Weiner Schnitzel, which is heaven on a plate. Our guests opted for the pork tenderloin which they declared to be fabulous."

"Lovely restaurant situated in amongst the trees in Bragg Creek.
We were staying at the Riverside Chateau just a few metres up the road from the Bavarian Inn and enjoyed the starlit crystal clear night sky as we crunched through the snow to the restaurant. This was our Valentines treat and we have taken away with us wonderful memories.
We were delighted by the 'gamutlich' atmosphere, and were shown to a cozy booth near the fire and next to a window. Outside was the summer deck. We enjoyed the seafood tasting dish and the Hungarian goulash soup to start with.
I had the Arctic Char, my husband had the Jagerschnitzel. For desert I had the strudel, my husband had the Black Forest gateaux.

"I ate at the Bavarian Inn on Valentine's day. I have been there a number of times, and that day was busier than usual, but they handled it well. The food came quick enough and we never had to look around for our server. They had roses at the tables and a little card saying "happy valentine's day" and little valentine's day candies on your way out.
I love the german style salad they serve, and highly recommend the schnitzel and salad entree! I will definitely be back."

"Overall, for 6 people the experience was great. The food was enjoyed by all. We were a little crowded at the table....not much elbow room. What I don't understand is why we couldn't have a 6 pm reservation? We arrived for our 5:15 reservation, and when we left just before 7 pm there were many tables still empty. We will go back, but would like to know how many days is needed to make a 6 pm reservation? Debbie"

"although we normaly have an excellent time at bavarian inn this time we were a little dissapointed by the food. This may have been due to the fact it had just reopened after their holiday but it was still sad to be told after arriving that both the chefs tasting menu and the Prime Rib special that we had come to try were unavailable. If you advertise a special for sundays in January then you should tell people when they make a reservation that it will not be available on that sunday or move heaven and earth to make it. Our appatizers were as always excellent but the mains were decidedly less so. My wife enjoyed her Elk Dianne but her veg was hard and un seasoned even the spatzle was bland which is very unusal and sad. My buffalo rouladen wu"
