"The food was excellent, however, the noise level was very high. Also our table was located very close to another table. So close that if I pushed my chair back to get up,the person sitting at a right angle behind me would not be able to move their chair. This & the noise level detracted from a delicious meal."

"Apparently Jimmy V's has been there 20 years. We went for a birthday dinner with family. Everyone enjoyed themselves. Service and food were great. They got our 6 year old granddaughter her food early so we could take our time. The manager came by to wish me happy birthday and make sure we had a good experience. I would go again and I recommend this to all ages. They have outdoor seating also and there was a band playing in the courtyard around 8 p.m. on a Friday night. Check it out!"

"Food was delicious, but the steak for one person was way overcooked...so we sent it back and by the time it arrived (15+min) it pretty much spoiled things for all of us. Unfortuantely they had a large party in a private room which the staff couldn't adequately handle...so it was a very slow dinner. We spent a total of an extra hour just waiting for food between courses.
The glass of chardonnay they recommended cost $14/glass...ouch! The wine wasn't that good. When the waitress recommends a wine to a customer, the price should be recommended as fair too....as it is this is gouging.
Also, restaurant was very dark inside. This is Spring-time...let some light in...we don't need deep darkness on a Thursday night in the month of May."

"The food was excellent, except for the cold hollandaise and bernaise sauces. The waitress was great once she realized we hadn't been waited on yet after about 15 minutes. It was graduation weekend, and prom so it was understandable. We would go again. Filet, short ribs, and Salmon were all tasty!"

"We really enjoyed our 1st experience at Jimmy V's. The Filet was OUTSTANDING; both in cut and the way it was cooked (recommending medium-rare). We split the 12 oz. filet, accompanied by 2 side salads (garden and caprese), the asparagus/broccoli medley, baked mac n cheese w/ bacon and their Yukon gold whipped potatoes. Everything was outstanding! We will return and return soon. We planned on spending $150 for the 3 of us and walked out with a total bill of $90. Bam!"

"It was okay. They were out of prime rib! Our server disappeared mid meal and we were left by ourselves for about 30 minutes before one of the other waiters noticed... Apologized and said he left due to a food spill.. The lapse in service was just too long. The side items were just okay... The filet was really good."

"Everything was great due to the fact that I was with my wife and it was our anniversary. The restaurant was empty at 7pm. The food was pretty good. Strip was very disappointing. The sword fish was maybe the best I ever had. Our server apologized almost every time that she came to the table. They had 2 servers with 7 tables. That's 3.5 tables per. They should have been fine but they weren't acting as a team. Also no manager involvement. Leader sets the tone and if they were active on the floor they would have noticed the servers getting behind."

"we went for my sons 18th bday, party of 6, had never been, they were very aware of that, service was friendly, but slow and spotty, had to ask for several things, including food, both appetizers and extras that were quite late. steaks were very good, cooked perfect, crabmeat appetizer was not enough for more than 2 people, with a huge basket of chips, cheese app was weird, with not enough explanation there, and very small. side dish whipped potatoes tasted like instant, the mac and cheese side was a big hit with the kids. WAY TOO pricey, everything is a la carte, we even had to ask for bread for the table, didnt check to see if we were charged for that too. would not recommend, or go again."

"We visited Jimmy V's for a birthday dinner for my husband. The service was attentive but not intrusive. We split a salad and then my husband had the ribeye and baked potato and I had the filet with optional blue cheese melt and mushroom risotto. All of the food was divine - there was even enough to take home some of the sides. We received a chocolate layer cake slice in honor of his birthday - it was rich and delicious and definitely enough for two people to share.
We had an amazing visit to Jimmy V's and look forward to coming back again soon."

"We tried Jimmy V's for a date-night, and we knew what to expect price-wise from having looked at the menu on-line beforehand. What we didn't expect is that the quality did not match up with the pricing. The restaurant itself is cozy(lots of tables close together) and the service was very good: there were several waiters around checking up on us and refilling drinks and 2 managers were constantly checking on tables. But the food quality wasn't on par with other establishments in this price range. The prawns, although nicely sized, were a bit bland; the steaks were well-cooked, but a bit bland and not as tender as I would have expected. The wine tasted a bit watered down, and the desert was not very flavorful."

"We wanted to try Jimmy V's because it seemed like a good place to eat based on the traffic we saw when we dined at our favorite Oyster Bar. The food was very good. However, the service left a lot to be desired. We waited for our table for about 20 minutes. (We had reservations) The server was friendly(when she came to our table) We ordered our appetizer, and I was halfway through my second cocktail before she came by with any bread! Needless to say, I was ready for something to eat by that time. She finally brought our appetizer about 15 minutes later,(the restaurant was only about half filled by that time) and about 45 minutes later brought our meal. We were there for about 2 and a half hours! We won't be going back."

"On Valentine's Day most restaurants are slammed. Jimmy V's was no exception. Despite a 7:45 PM reservation, we waited until 8:30 to be seated. The food was excellent in all respects. Best Calamari in the area - period! The only drawback is the pricing. Really out of this world prices - and that will probably keep us away in the future."

"Food was awesome. Probably one of the best since I've moved from Boston 4 years ago. The wine menu was endless and the steaks were fabulous. I would go back in a heart beat for dinner with friends or my husband. Definitely worth a try and since they have an outdoor patio it should be a nice place in the spring."
