Nellie Cashman's Monday Club Cafe at The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa
Named for "The Angel of the Mining Camp" and Arizona's oldest club for women, Nellie Cashman's Monday Club Cafe offers casual dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as Sunday brunch. With an emphasis on locally-grown produce and indigenous recipes, Nellie's menu carries a Southwestern-Mediterranean flair. An open style kitchen allows guests to have an up-close look at many of the items being prepared and to talk to the culinary experts - just another one of the many reasons why this bright and open restaurant has become one of the valley's favorite destinations. Patio dining brings sweeping views of Kierland Golf Club and McDowell Mountains. Seating is also available in the resort's spectacular Dreamweavers Canyon courtyard where you can listen to the sounds of Scottish Bagpipes every evening at Sunset.

"Our table had a snake next to when we arrived. Our server told another to call security to have it removed,but the second server took his serving tray and tried to sweep the snake into the bushes. A few minutes later a rather large lizard crawled out from the same bushes under our table. My girlfriend is terrified of snakes and lizards, and put her feet up on the chair. The serving staff made NO offer to move us inside or to another table, but instead just said that wildlife makes its way to the hotel from the desert area. This was the first time to this hotel,and it was not very pleasant experience. The food was ok, but became cold as we were more concerned about our safety than dining out."

"Great breakfast buffet. Omelet station, fresh fruit and berries, creamy steel-cut oatmeal with caramelized sugar, amazing chocolate croissants (they go fast so get them early) and apple walnut danishes. They also served Belgian waffles, pancakes, sausages, hash browns, assorted muffins, cereals and more. The service is awesome. Everyone is so friendly and the view of the golf course is beautiful. What a great way to start the day!"

"Whenever we visit Scottsdale my husband and I always gravitate to the Westin for excellent food, service and ambiance.Three of the five members of our group were experiencing Scottsdale for the first time and we know that the staff at Nellie Cashman will not disappoint.We were seated at a round table in a quiet corner.We were delightfully surprised to see our familiar waiter Andrew.The service was incredible. Water and wine glasses were perpetually topped off. We requested to share salads and desserts. We were each given our own plate of salad. It was a very generous salad plate for all.The presentation of our entrees was a veritable chef d'oeuvre. Needless to say the food met everone's high expectations. A perfect evening! Merci."

"As usual we enjoy this restaurant at any time the food is well presented and is certainly a reliable place to eat even coming in late in the evening. The quality is the same. We come to the Kierland resort every year and always go to Nellie Cashman's two or three times. You have a view of the golf course and the service is always very good."

"For all you locals, this is a great breakfast/brunch place that is reasonably priced. If you arrive for lunch on Sunday brunch, they have crab and shrimp on the buffet. The made-to-order omelet bar was excellent as were the fresh fruits, bakery items and other items. Service fast and friendly. They also offer a kids price which was also reasonable. We will be back. Great view."

"This is the more casual restaurant at the Westin. The decor is a little too casual for dinner, IMO. The lighting is too bright. They really could do a lot with some small changes at dinner time - different linens, softer lighting, nicer flatware and dishes. The menu is fun and interesting, and the food preparation and presentation was very good. Our experience with the service/servers was less than inspiring. They were slow and inattentive at most every opportunity to provide service.
Our conclusion is that this is a place we'd go for lunch or a very casual, late night dinner."
